I thought about a galeb, but most of his attacks dont say they generate threat, which is important to me for a companion. It keeps mobs off me, and keeps them on the tank. Unlike the man at arms, or the war dog. Top it off that his passive bonus gives me more dmg(which I only need when I solo) based on how much I'm damaged(which I rarely am, as a healer, I keep myself at 100% all the time)

These aggro problems suggest you've done something wrong elsewhere. I have a fresh 60 DC with very few boons (1 or 2), a cheap T1 set with R6, and I can facetank pretty much all the solo content from all modules (except IwD, still no access there so I can't say).

In party content a tank is supposed to be keeping mobs off of you, so this doesn't apply (also, party content hits usually too hard for companions).

A stone can give you 4000-5000 stats, which is like 4000-5000 gs. That is a lot. Plus it's usually better exchange your ad into zen and just buy companions from the zen store, they also come with a free lesser bonding runestone. For an allure that's equivalent to a rank 9 in power or defence.

Don't know if this was mentioned, but when buying an augment, you'd better consider the one that has the equipment that falls under either neck or ring or waist - this way you will be able to benefit from the new OP items that can be obtained through the new Jewelcrafting profession early on.
