When the Sab meets mobs that see through stealth, then its utility diminishes.
When the Exec meets a mob with a huge HP pool and defense, then its utility diminishes.
Their bonus damages by tree choice is the same. It's different for Scoundrels.
But i undertsand your point of view, and, profoundly in me, i'm agree with this point of view. I'm just not a "good/efficient player", but a "awkward" player, and when i say :
But where is the interest of focused control tree when majority of new mobs ( golems, dragons, Skirmish and dungeons boss ) are immune to control ?
it's a real question. I'm an awkward player, but a player despite everything, juste like you.
I tried this build last night and enjoyed it. My only problem: You just stay in stealth for soooooo short a time that I feel like Shadow Strike wasn't even worth it. I actually swapped it out for that old standby, Lashing Blade. If stealth was up and I was surrounded by a mob, I used DS. If stealth was up around a boss, I used LB. DF activates fast enough now that it is (relatively) safe to use out of stealth compared to Live, but we are definitely still glass cannons. I also enjoyed having CoS that had no charges. Range! I will have to play with this more, but this seems like a fun possibility come 11/18. Did you go heavy on DEX or on STR?
Yep i go on Dex but use Charisma Belt instead because of personal reason (i like the deflect buff).
If you are a glass cannon depends on your playstyle and your personal stats.
Platypus wielding a giant hammer, your argument is invalild!
Random thought: what with the Daze-related shenanigans of Mod5!Scoundrels, would Control bonuses be at least theoretically useful for such builds or are the times involved too short to be meaningful?

I don't have the resources to really try it out, but my gut feeling is that trying to stack control bonus on a TR would mean giving up too much else. But then Wisps are not terrible, and the Imperial set is a bit of a mixed bag, some it potentially very good, and lots of other artifacts have control bonus.
Still, you'd be giving up a lot in the way of potential combat advantage bonus to get all that, assuming all things were equally functional in a not-broken sense.
I knkw they will distroy saboteur..
Back to executioner... passive stealth regen increased, shadow of demise proccing from every source of damage..yeah definitely. I will just stack recovery over 3k leave int at 19 and see what happens. Considering that now is the only tree where path of the blade benefits from al the feats or imagine something like shadow strike, d.strike boom shadow of demise! Its going to hit hard! Put some glyphs on and you get another 50 per cent of that damage as percing.
Please STOP the PVP-related comments on this thread. It's bad enough that the main Rogue Mod5 feedback thread has devolved into back-and-forth bickering between PVPers (to the point where the thread is basically useless). THIS IS A PVE-ONLY THREAD. If you want to discuss PVP-related issues for Mod5, MAKE YOUR OWN THREAD.
OK, so Mod5 is here today. Anyone that has done recent preview testing care to share their suggested PVE builds? I haven't been on in over a week, so I'm still catching up on the latest.

So, thanks for you answers.
Kweassa, Rayrdan, and K9madrush all like it and all agree on it.
Either hell just froze over or it was actually a good change.

If you know something to be broken, stop using it.
Otherwise, you've got no right to be speaking of 'balance.'
