[..] and they are not going to cancel all that and start working on what we want[..]
If the players would get what they want in the way they want it the game would be dead withing weeks.
Because there would be no hoping, no trying, no fun. Everyone would have 5 legendaries, everything would be cheap.
And most players would still be beaten in PvP and leave the game (they are the best players, and if they don't win with the best gear the game must be HAMSTER)
No, I think the plan of the company is giving us very, very slowly what we desire. Hide that behind a lot of time online with time to browse the Zen store while waiting for a dragon. And all that hidden behind a layer of RNG and further 15 different currencies. I am quite certain they know what they are doing. And they are doing it much better than any of us would suspect.
1. I love forgotten realms and it is pretty much the reason i came back with tyranny of dragons, been rly nice to do with one character but couldnt make myself do it again with another.
2. Power difference is so big that anyone new who tries to pvp is going to have a really bad time. Those people arent paying anything, they are all exploiting things, always have been and they are always going to... I blame cryptic for building a bad system of refinement, exploitable dungeons, exploitable foundries, exploitable professions system plus some other nasty exploits...
3. Artifact thing was a terrible idea as it is atm, Play to lvl your artifacts is a much much better way...
4. Doing 100 runs without getting my belt, companion and such is not fun... and no i;m not going to farm 20 days those dragons just to get a ****ty book!
5 Pvp campaign (minus bugged pvp zones in IWD and a terrible imbalanced GG matches, i had only 1 balanced match in 120 that i;ve played) was way more fun than any other and i did it for the candy at the end. That is how all campaigns should be build...
6. Why dont we have foundry pvp maps?!! People are exploiting foundries anyway, look in ah ffs and see people selling 100 stacks everyday...
7. Zen store prices are just insane, sry i really want to support you, but man those prices... also i wont ever ever going to buy companions that are not account bound similar to mounts...
8. There is no progression in game, dungeons like CN/MC/VT and soon LLM are just useless (kessel retreat as well). I dont even know why people even bother with any dungeon tbh as you can buy draconic gear from ah and be done with...
There are way more things to say , pretty much every aspect of the game is unfinished, so i understand why people are leaving, i did leave and i will leave again most likely, maybe come back later to see how things are!
Off topic:
considering the moderators seem to have been struck by a collective "Zero Size Object" invasion, this thread is quite civil. Congratulations to all involved, try to keep it this way!
You either stop arguing with him completely, or...well, stop arguing with him completely. He's defending Cryptic as hard as he can. I can't say it's bad, it's just an opinion, the bad is that he's trying to make all other opinions look wrong.
Is this your response? Really?
I respect your opinion as with anyone else's and mine is my own, but you don't know me from Adam. Please try to remember this.
I am not attempting to make your opinion right or wrong (it may be a personal thing if that's what you believe). I am making counter-points. I am offering what I hope to be simple logical debate and you seem to be taking it as and reacting with emotion. Okay, that's fine. Shall I declare you the "winner"? Okay, you win. Feel better?
Me regards to Cryptic: I recognize they are a for-profit company. I put zero emotion into them for what they do, however, I do understand what they do (I actually run a company myself) - it's just business. As long as they continue to provide products I want at a price that is *fair to me* I will continue doing business with them. If that's not that case I'll move on, not bash the company. Doing so does nothing and a waste of energy the way I see it.
Like I said: I have no interest in attempting to change your mind about anything; you're going to believe and feel what you believe and feel no matter what I or anyone else says. This is an attempt at a discussion. I don't claim I am right and you are wrong or vice-versa. If you feel that way that it's your own emotional baggage you must carry. I prefer to rely on intellect, not emotion if I can help it, though some of the posting in these forums make that a challenge, I must admit.
Cryptic Studios, as a company is delivering a good product, hardly perfect by any stretch of the imagination. When another company delivers something better then people will go there. So I refer back to my original statement: We're all still here, aren't we? In the end it doesn't matter what is said and done: the here and now is the here and now. Anything in the future is subjective at best.
What's the motive for this? So you think people are just randomly trying to make the game studio "look bad"? And if this is really the case, why are you so affected by it?
I think there are just flat out some agenda-driven trolls here on the forum who will exaggerate any negative flaw that they see so that they can continue on with their anti-Cryptic crusade.
I also think that there are quite a few people who use the forums in an attempt to manipulate the devs, that if they scream loud enough about their particular pet peeve, that the feckless devs will knuckle under and appease the screamers.
Honestly I wish both of these classes of people would just STFU and GTFO.
And how does it affect me? It makes the forums nigh unreadable. I come here to offer constructive feedback, listen to ideas, and get tips on how to improve my play. When the forums instead become this torrent of negativity, it's dispiriting and makes my gameplay - which is supposed to be my LEISURE time after all - less enjoyable.

When the forums instead become this torrent of negativity, it's dispiriting and makes my gameplay - which is supposed to be my LEISURE time after all - less enjoyable.
I do not understand this argument.
How does a thread like this affect your gameplay? Also, how does it make anything less enjoyable if you do not think, that there is anything negative about the game?
I love it when people think that adding someone to a "friend's list" makes them your friend. It doesn't. The fact that you refer to them as a class and gearscore tells me that.
My community continues to be active. There's ebbs and flows, but we keep recruiting and engaging people as people, not some name on a list to be messaged when you need a 5th for a speed run of CN.
Here's a tip. If you don't know someone's real name, or something about the person, they're not your friend. They're just a name on a list. Communities that are real communities, where people are valued more than gearscores, continue to grow and thrive. But that's the same for every MMO. Neverwinter is no exception.
Well, here's the thing (and this is addressed to the OP and those agreeing with them):
FACT: You're still here.
FACT: As was stated by another: "Friends" aren't really" (paraphrased). They're play-buddy acquaintances whose real names you don't even know.
FACT: This thread is simple "fear-mongering" with intent to paint the the game as a (future) failure, nothing more.
FACT: Refer to the top of this list.
I'm not defending the game or the company. I am simply calling-out the OP for what it is: BSHogwash.
Why does something that others say bring you so much "fear", OP?
It tells me this:
EITHER:
You are so much in love with this game that you *fear* your pretend "friends" will leave you behind.
OR
You are just trying to make the game, and by extension the game studio look bad.
FACT: Most people who choose to leave the game do so without any public announcement, much less "fanfare".
-shrugs-
It's called FRIENDS LIST so he calls them friends, it's not like he has an IRL connection with them.
You two spot the most irrelevant details.
And lol at your "facts". I'll refute once I get home.
I've said it before.
Hate/threatening threads are pointless.
The only way to let your position heard by the company is to 'talk' in the terms that understand and think with - your ingame online and your invested money.
If they really see that they are loosing players or income and this is exactly because of the voiced reasons AND they see how to improve the situation this will become their 1st goal. Rest assured.
This means that if the community wined but gained almost nothing - they are quite confident in what the outcome will be. After all they have all the statistical data and we - only our fallen expectations and speculations.
There's objective reality, that clearly tells which company is doing good and which isn't. Some companies I'm not gonna name have their playerbase risen from 100k to 10kk in a few years. And they aimed for quality rather then for cash-grab. Those are simple facts, you can argue till the end of days, but it won't change the clear observation of which strategy works better. With these posts people try to show, that not everything works well, and something needs to be done. But you seem to agree with the strategy they keep up despite obvious reasons, good for you. I think, that Neverwinter is a sick, exhausted Cash Cow.
May your business last long (no sarcasm involved).
M6 almost drains your soul given how boring it is. (c) joocycuzzzzzz
Sry but this is called feedback, is not bashing them without reason! People are telling them that things need to get fixed cause they arent working...
Well, I'd swallow this if it weren't for dozes similar threads before they announced module 5 and even module 4 (when people got the taste of the wonderful RNG in the game).

You're so wrong on so many levels I don't even..
1) I'm still here, on the forums ONLY, I haven't logged in the game in ages because I always get demotivated when I want to get on. (Hint: ToD). We're all hoping for a better future of this game, if you like the current fest that this game is, then... get help.
2) Are you serious? Of course they aren't my "Friends". But it's a Friend's list, so I just used that word, friends.... buddies... people in your friend's list. Same thing, irrelevant "fact"
3) I want the company to succeed because this game has potential, I've seen another game which had potential be completely ruined, I don't want this one to be next.
4) Refer to my points
Yes, you are defending them hard and that's a "Fact", not sure why you're so in love with them after what's going on right now.
Who talked about "Fear" and "Friends"? It's like you judge that I'm attached to these people or something , I'm seriously wondering if you aren't trolling. If you aren't, then facepalm, seriously. (I'm guessing you're one of those foundry players that do Foundry only and ignore/are clueless about anything else in the game, see? I can prejudge too)
"FACT: Most people who choose to leave the game do so without any public announcement, much less "fanfare"."
^ Oh yeah? Then aware me why there's a "No I quit threads" as a rule on the forums?
Yes cryptic monitors player base. But what you can't monitopr is how many accounts are the same persons with 20 accounts and 5 players per each account.
If they spend a little more time on charecter development instead on the mega graphics and build a community of base players. I agree with him above as well. I seen hundred leave this game and not return due to the fact cryptic is only intrested in the money and not the player. I have spent enough money trying to keep up but I will not spend $1000 like some have on a badley build game. The grind is rediculous there no cap on gear or hit points. froma pve stand point thats great from a pvp stand point it rediculous. I would like to see more of a real d n d orianted game then this. Never Winter is nothing but the name of what Never Winter Knights was. This place could be that but not at the path it has taken.
Thanks
Btw get rid of the ctrl key. IT fun follow stealth players around and others with it
Lots of my friends on this game who I played pvp with in group or done some occasional pve with have started to quit, a few already have and yes I know there rl names and this has made the game far less enjoyable to me.
I also feel the same way though, as a hardcore pvp player who doesn't really enjoy pve I find this power creep a nightmare. Pvp is what requires you to have the highest gear, far more than pve yet there is no way to get lots of ad from pvp.....
It is too hard to compete these days, I don't have the luxury of spending all my money on a game and I don't have the time to farm for over a year to get the same gear as some do now with 24k gs and more next mod. It will be around 150-200 mil ad to get maxed out or more and I can't even get 1 legendary xD the grind on this game is only for payers or people who started when it very first came out, I am neither so I will wait and see if it gets better, so for now yes I have quit but am still here in hopes of it improving.
most ppl dont do I Quit threads just cause they are sick of the game and dont want anything to do it
ppl who do threads like this care about the game and dont want it to be destroyed by greedy companies, many ppl have seen games destroyed by bad management, hell ive seen game destroyed within 6 month of launch(Aika)
and this game is managed very poorly
i dont even have an idea how to get some of my friends to start playing this, theyll just get lvl 60, see all this useless grind and quit
and whats the point of playing this, there is no challenge, dungeons drop nothing, pvp has same 2 maps it had at launch, the only way to improve gear is to farm leadership and buy RP from bots, while endgame consists of boring dailies

This is not strictly true and somewhat misleading. For a start, looking at what succeeded well in the past does not necessarily tell you what will succeed well now or in the future. And for seconds, you are comparing two completely different business models in two completely different competitive climates when they started.
