The wait is 7 days on the current backlog and it is decreasing slowly but surely ...
Once the backlog is gone, exchanging will be instantaneous again, like it was for the first year of the game.

Some stuff is happening in the underground that might change that. Already been reported but who knows if they read that stuff.

Just curious, did any player on the russian server discover the AD shenanigans before it was fixed?

Because that could EASILY explain the difference.

Or it could be that the backlog cleared at a higher price, and when the backlog fell that price fell back down to earth, rather than being kept artificially at 500 for months and months. But eh, whatever guys. Have fun waiting for months to get your Zen I guess. Removing the cap would be the smart move, but in the meantime most of the Zen sellers will just sell Zen-market items on the AH for the real Zen/AD rate and just bypass the Exchange.

Not if they bind the cash shop and make it the ZAX the only option that won't get you a ban.

Still did not answer my question. But meh I guess you probably are ignorant of the situation I was referring to so you did not get what it is and the significance of it. Oh well.

I'll repeat it/bump my question to anyone who would know: Did player on the russian server discover the AD shenanigans before it was fixed?

How the hell would anyone know that? All you can possibly get for an answer here is speculation.

Since nobody could answer that, then nobody should be directly comparing the 2 economies because that plays a BIG BIG factor to the inflation of AD on the dragon server

It's the AD holder's dream come true, a world where Zen buyers...you know, the people spending real money to keep the game running...are forced to sell Zen to free2players at Cryptic's mandated exchange rate with no other option. The people who love this idea believe that Zen should be cheap to acquire and don't care....even a little...about the net in-game AH purchasing power that gives (or doesn't give) the people paying for the game they play.

True, but if there any sites that track ZAX over time for the Russian server then you could compare the Russian server with the US one, and by keeping track of special events try to isolate the difference.

Alternatively just see whether the Russian server's ZAX (backlog) started to fall after the exploit was discovered and fixed, just like on Dragon If not, then the exploit was probably either not present or only known by a few people on the Russian server.

Talking about the incident is frowned upon here which is why I try my best to avoid it.

The people who know, know. The people who are ignorant will stay ignorant until they join a high end respectable guild and maybe start getting a clue of what goes around in this game if the officers like them.
