cryptic pleasee you did make the gwf looking like idiot and ridiculous in pvp ,he dies easily even in unstoppable

Sadly bad players are still complaining and asking for it to be nerfed farther out of some kind of revenge for mod 2 and 3. If you couldn't beat em in game, beat em on the forums and make the class unviable.
i think cryptic balance team doesnt have a clue wtf they are doing and how class balance works
slapping a bunch halfarse changes every 4 month isnt balance, to achieve smth similar to balance they need to do small changes every week, true balance is impossible in any game with more than 1 class

Nah, maybe Sentinel would need some buffs, but the major problem is the DPS PvP tree must be Instigator, but Instigator sux atm.
I am already missing the roar/prone GWF as I have met some new style super stun sprint GWF that I have no chance at all in killing (where before I had a chance but it relied on the overconfidence of the GWF). I haven't taken the time to change my GWF around and test things out yet as I have been busy with the new campaign stuff.
As a jest, I always thought the GWF looked like an idiot as it was my first character and I soon deleted because of the dimwit appearance and over-sized cartoonish weapons (later I made another when I realized I could transmute the look but I chose the name of "Special Eddy").
The good GWF's are still very good and adapting to their CC immunities running all over the map striking and changing targets. The old GWFs that had no skill and smashed button because they were OP class, well to quote Dennis Greene " They are who we thought they were!"

YESSSSSS!!!!
So much truth! Any good player understands the importance of when to switch targets and when to engage who.
Mobility is the name of the game here. Wisely using your skills instead of just trying to spam a rotation as fast as possible. Actually standing in front of an ally to force an enemies spells to hit you when they clearly want to hit your CW/DC/HR/SW. Being wily enough to understand how to use your sprinting to the utmost efficiency. HINT: holding it down until it is all gone and you are doing it wrong. (Obviously some times you want or need to use all of your sprint, but when engaged in combat you want to only be tapping it and time it so you are immune when people are trying to control you. After all you only need to be immune for a second!)
New GWF should focus on this. Mobility, Proper Use of stamina bar, Body Blocking, Target swapping - BE EVERYWHERE ALWAYS!
Also Action Point gain. So much AP Gain. use Steel Defense trait. Then once you get max AP use Spinning strike only for a second, then sprint to end it early. Proc your 5 sec Immunity for using a daily. Build your AP back up quick and do it again. Over and over.
My GWF is using Punishing Charge because of its ridiculous AP gain potential and A gap close that does damage and also allows you to pass through people is great for many reasons.
Smart use of Battle Fury also makes for interesting game play. More Dmg AP gain and instant Stamina refill, castable while moving. It is legit try it.
Side note though my GWF is Heavy Int for all the Cooldown reduction she can have. It's weird and most people will say that it is horrible. But don't knock it til you try it. It is actually really quite effective. Also Get good at using Mighty leap to dodge CC's and cover ground.
It's fun to just ride through mid , start sprinting then leap PC 3 times and sprint a second more and already be at enemy node while everyone else is still close to mid because GWFs are the MASTERS OF MOBILITY!
A lot of the damage comes from the fact that you are (if using stamina properly and burst sprinting to be immune to CC) Constantly in their face landing sure strikes. Punishing Charge travels long enough to cover dodges. If you use it wisely you will not only instantly close the gap they are trying to make but do some damage and keep swinging Sure Strike immediately.
You won't notice the effectiveness with out a good cooldown reduction. My Punishing Charge gets a stack every 6.something seconds. (It starts on 7 but stays there for a split second, pretty much a flash of a 7 then 6) Takedown is about 6 seconds and Mighty leap is just over 10 seconds

All the big mouths that are talking never played GWF. The real class that needs a huge nerf is CW with their 3 sec nukes, GF and HR (slightly). I am already building my GF.
Would be lol to see a video of a GWF with Mighty Leap + Punishing Charge + Battle Fury.
With the cap objective and not kill objective (like a TR).
That is the main objective. It isn't to run away, although you can use it for that and get away EVERY TIME, which in itself is very useful.
You can rush between points while in combat being an Immediate response for your team. All you need to do is tap someone so they can't mount up and Sprint, PC PC PC Leap Sprint. By the time they get to you at the node you will have your skills off of cooldown working on getting your 3rd PC back.
Using the Steel Defense , Spinning Strike + Sprint Cancel to proc the 5 second Immunity is amazing. Who cares if You are getting controlled if you are immune to all forms of damage for 5 seconds?
Punishing Charge gives you its base AP gen FOR EVERY TARGET you hit. This means in big battles you can refill your AP from around the 70% mark you will have left after canceling Spining strike back up to 100%. And be able to use a Daily, spinning strike is the only one we can cancel to keep rotating steel defense though.
Get used to using Spin strike cancel when you don't have Unstoppable available, and Popping Unstoppable when your 5 sec immunity wears off. Get extra AP gen while Unstoppable and pop Spin strike shift cancel after unstop wears off.
Rinse repeat.
LOL That pic is greatness!

There are two bugs/glitches Oghma and Glyph and some feated items on the CW that is making all classes have issues, sounds like on preview the first two are getting fixed tomorrow, leaving the CW issue, if they look at scaling that back slightly, then you will see a closer approximation of where the GWF is at.
Here is the greatest truth of any MMO, is that nothing ever stays the same, what is op today, will not be tomorrow and vice versa.
It takes about 20 hours of /played time to get another class to 60 and approx 60 days of calendar time to get that class booned out, while booning, work on getting the profound set and weapons.. Viola you have another class to play.
i'd have to disagree with the OP i have seen some GWF players insanely good using sprint and rotations. I actually have commented on a few. This is no longer a smash you face on keyboard. They will use sprint accordingly to avoid damage and then burst. Also target choice is much more important than just absorbing all the damage like they used to. Also the trade off between tanky and dps is more noticeable. The good gwfs will still be great due to actual skill not just gear. I feel class balance is getting closer than it was prior to the initiation of artifacts. I think the gwfs, hr, gf are all in pretty good places for pvp. I would only suggest a damage decrease and a slight change to orb of imposition for cws so you can't chain stun targets to death also the change to storm spell. 75% increase to cc was a little much from 15% pre mod 4 this would make them on level with the rest. Also trs and dc need a rework which they will get to in mod 5.
Things are getting closer to being balanced. Now if they just make my Vengeance Pursuit better I will be happy.
The tactful play style of timing your sprints to be immune is in no way toxic. It is smart. It is a much better feel for the class it self, and a lot of fun. Sprinting at someone Roar Prone Kill is somehow more fun? Or is it just helping to get easier wins?
Permastealth was never a big deal. People just fell prey to the mind game being played against them. Don't run around in circles like a dum-dum accepting damage, seek the stealther out. Force him to use his dodge rolls or BnS or SS or ITC before he is actually wanting to. Totally mess up his rotation for his stealth meter management. And put him on the defensive.
With GWF sprint bursting, again, it will be a mind game. They have to Start their sprint before you start your spell. So it is a game of prediction, or calculation I guess.

you lost me at "things are getting closer to being balanced"
not with the current state of GF/CW/HR, they're pretty ridiculous
Getting closer is better than stagnating. The Mod4 is still pretty new. That's why we need to stay focused, constructive, and honest in our discussions. Mods and Devs will not listen to rant filled back and forth's that don't actually help come to a real conclusion in regards to the state of class balance. It seems like they are at least taking actions rather quickly so we should be happy about that at least.
Some CW's will probably be upset but I think what they are planning is fair. As far as GF and HR I am not sure what you mean. GF guard meter is a bit ridiculous and forever is that what you are referring to?

not the timing of sprint but the build with charge and leap and permasprint. with how fkd up gwf is now they should have left prone as it was. i prefer old unstoppable and old sprint to new ones despite having more cc resist now. was never fun of roar. imho main problem of gwf was threatening rush and lack of cw dmg, with cw buffs they could have left gwf as it was
permastealth is not strong just boring and annoying to play against and companies that care about pvp being fun do remove toxic play styles like that, also forces to fk up your skills to change single target for aoe
Are other people really using Punishing Charge and what not finally? I haven't ran across another GWF using PC or Battle Fury or Mighty Leap. Still mostly see the same Roar FLS IBS for some reason

That is exactly what happens when you make one class god like. They will blame you for balancing them. That is just pathetic. TR was nerfed from begun of game and i don't see so many topics while TR has many more reasons to complain for being destroyed in pve and pvp. Their skills have no damage, they have no survivability out of stealth. And when i see those complains about gwf is like i would see kid in primary school who lost his toy.

All of the people that flocked to TR when it was OP are now flocking to CW just as they flocked to GWF and Pathfinder HR etc..

Those of us who are left know what the situation is. All of the whiners are playing whatever they consider to be the most powerful. And if you are a whiner, you will not think that TR is the most powerful.

I think prones should be left for dailies and stuff like that, it makes no sense to have a prone on a skill that sometimes has 10 secs cool down or even less.
