Could we please get a 'ignore lockbox' setting?

Just a little checkbox in the gameplay-options.

This new wave of all kinds of lockboxes are cluttering our inventories, we've to throw them away every few minutes.
Such an option would be so convenient, please consider implementing them.

just put them somewhere deep down in your inventory then you don't even notice them since they stack into the hundreds

As already said in this thread, not going to happen because they want to sell lockbox keys.

An 'ignore green equipment' option would be nice, however. Once they stop being upgrades for you and if you don't collect them to sell, they're a pain.

..despite making them bound, making them far less attractive.

You can apparenly use drops to refine things in mod 4.

Need to start collecting green gear to use to upgrade Artifact weapons and belts.

Only if identified, this makes a big difference. If green items are worth just a few points, it might be still better to just avoid them (remember an ID scroll costs 125AD).

think about yahoo mail: a free service that has a premium tier for an price which will eliminate advertisements from your email page. in order to run a free service, it has to be paid for in some way... for Cryptic to eliminate any reference to pay items would be eliminating pay potential. they could offer a premium tier that offers such things, but lock boxes aren't what i'd call a major annoyance.

    but that's just me.

They take up 6 slots and climbing. That's a lot of stuff if:
    1) you dont have extra inventory space
2 are like me and kind of a hoarder

Hopefully my 30 slot bags will help though :D

I am steadily accumulating six or seven different types of boxes.

Will there be a key sale any time soon?

I heard somewhere that there will never be another sale of any type, as that has been replaced by the random, time-limited coupons. Any truth to that?

    Cheers!

It would be very convenient, but also defeating the purpose of the boxes. They are there to entice people to spend money. With such a setting you might as well remove all lockboxes from the game.

I don't see it happen anytime soon.

They only entice me to stop playing till this "resurgence" is over with. 1 slot I can deal with, but 6 is pretty obnoxious.

Collect them up and sell them a couple months after they disappear again. Someone will buy them to open them. It's not a huge ad gain but it's something.

No. They have reduced the sales without any notification to us but they haven't completely stopped them. Will there be another key sale? Who knows.

wouldn't surprise me if there is a new key sale on Thursday. I believe a new lockbox is dropping with Mod 4 so it makes sense keys would be on sale.

lol i'm a hoarder too but with 5 bags 6 slots should be that difficult to reserve, and once you get the new bag theirs 6 slots right there boom

Personally I have 5 bags and am really limited on space. Though I do want shared bank space to go on sale. It'd be nice to store those peridots, aquamarines, companion xp tomes etc. Some extra space has been taken up because of crafting shirts, sometimes people undercut by too much and I'd rather wait and try not to devalue the business. 18 extra slots will be nice though with the new bag, and 30 for those that don't have 5 bags. Though I'll probably want to carry the new refining gems too.

I collect and save the Nightmare lockboxes and the Rusted iron lockboxes and usually dump all the others ,I save them a while and they always sell for a decent price on the AH , or at least they have in the past.

I just have all my toons dump them in shared storage, That way bag slots are not used up. Who knows? maybe some of the older lockboxes will become rarer and more valuable in the future?

I used a couple of 15% off anything in the Zen store coupons I got, since I figured it would be quite a while before those went on sale. No regrets.

Well I might be forced to buy them if they don't do it sooonish. I bought 1 on release and would probably get 2 or more extra if they went on sale. They're definitely convenient. I'm too lazy to move my picked up lockboxes to one character until after the event is over though. They drop so much that it's not worth the effort. Bought some of the magnificent ones for 1-2 ad each while theyre cheap. Along with the ones I've farmed, I have 10k+ of them. Potentially I could open them eventually if I want a floating disk which would be very nice for my cw.

If you don't want the lockboxes to open them just vendor them. they sell for 10 copper a piece. Considering how many you get that'll add up quickly.

Nope, not gonna happen. That is one form of advertising on their behalf.

Just live with it since this is a f2p game
