5gb patch ????

So logged in and its downloading A 5.5GB patch Is this patch the pre patch for Module 4 ?

    Not sure.. I just logged in on the client and it's a 64MB patch for me.

    Probably a lot of next week's release (ToD) content is in there. Downloading it now is wise. This way all they have to do is continue quashing bugs and any remaining updates - which makes a smaller download next week when they release to full Mod 4 and everyone on the planet is trying to update all at the same time, killing the servers and then people shouting in shrill tones "WTF IS RONG!!!???".

    So, um, yeah: this is the best way to do it. and a full patch is something like 8GB - so it's probably not even the whole thing.

    EDIT: I see some reporting 104 GB (obviously commenting as I'm still writing.)
    Edit two: my typo: 104MB LOL (It was my keyboard, I swear it!)

    I believe if you've been keeping the preview copy up to date the downloaded patch will be smaller. It just copies the code from the preview instance to the "main" instance. This could be why some are downloading MB and some GB.

    Yeah, I patch both Owlbear and Mimic regularly and my weekly patches always run tiny compared to my husband's.

    Yeah 104 MB here too , will we need to prepatch this module or don't we need to if we have the preview client up to date?

    Mine was 64 MB.

    Previous pre-patches have launched on logout and patched before the client closes, haven't they?

    EDIT: Preview and Live clients are completely separate - they have different directory trees on your hard drive.

    I've always seen some pre-patching even with an up-to-date preview client.

    It's the size of the files being patched, not the size of the download.

    And what exactly was patched? There is no changelog, not even "no bugfixing, only regular maintenance" or something like that.

    They fixed a bug in the Character Creator. Nothing else.

    TBH I didn't expect much in this patch with Mod 4 rolling out next week. All the big stuff will be in that patch.
