Akro, are you in Cult of the Dragons? I mean really, asking us for photographic proof of where we killed dragons seems like something the Cult would do. How does it feel to be the main cause of the possible near extinction of dragons in Faerûn?

And then why the winning screenshots had living dragons on them?.
Because the manager guy decided to be a Contrarian once me and Zeb had posted saying the Dragons needed to be dead , despite the fact the blog clearly stating they needed to be dead or dying.
we want you to slay as many dragons as possible! Once you’ve felled the mighty beast, take a screenshot of the once-mighty dragon or dracolich (or better yet, get a screenshot of its mighty death throes)

OMG , I wasted a lot of time to take good screenshots, I mean a LOT of time (from learning on how to use the demo recorder, solo those dungeons and then play the records to get good screenshots).
Then, when they said that "pictures of living dragons will be disqualified" I wasted even more time to take another screenshots with dead dragons, because I thought those SS were going to be disqualified and it was when I didn't had much free time, but I did because you said: "If we achieve 150 or more unique screenshots, we will begin a contest that is unlike anything Neverwinter has seen before with tons of chances to win prizes that will benefit the entire Neverwinter community".
Then it turns that those SS that I took with living dragons weren't disqualified and that the "amazing prizes and benefits unlike anything Neverwinter has seen before" were just some Wallpapers... OMG.
Please, next time try to be more clear on the requirements and rewards, and to be consistent in what you say, so everybody will know the requirements, and specially, everybody will know if it's worthy (in their case) spent time doing that or not.
This sounds typical of a way to drum up cheap hype over a ok game, as there are far better out there graphic and play wise. Don't get me wrong I love the game its fun but its a two part game one is a race to get to 60 and the end content. Isn't the whole game meant to be enjoyed, I have played through the lower missions with 4 characters and it could use some variety. Now they did change a bit from the start somethings for the better mission wise and others for the worse enhancements were fine the way they were. But in the end its all bout who pays the most out to get gear or the best stuff just to be what, a character that you do not own that you have payed hundreds of real money to get there. And in the end it all for nothing but your entertainment, now I for one have just as much fun without spending money on gear or keys or what ever the next big item it is in the game. The thing is a game is meant to be about fun and entertainment I for one like to explore and find things and immersive story and classes and tasks that sometimes involve not bashing the monster and take the treasure, but that's fine too. Too me its about options and this like most games in the mmo community, I have tryed many GW2, WOW, Elder scrolls online, starwars, ect... thing is the only one that ever did it for me from a game stand point was City of heroes. Which was taken away by NC soft for a lame reason to say the least but that's a whole other rant, my point is the game should be about the fun and the enjoyment not what you have or your gear these things should just be a enhancement not a requirement as some players seem to think. My policy of late is if I can not hold it in my hand or have right of ownership of a said item then why pay money to have it. A few dollars is ok to watch a movie and be entertained but $100.00 to get in game money(which can be earned in game for free by the way) to get an item or stuff that you don't own or even have the rights to. Its a fools games to say the least and the company's are eating it up and making money hand over fist, and there sailing you nothing its a permit or a rental of a sort. Its even worse because every game has lock boxes of some sort which is like a slot machine at a casino there is no guarantee your going to get what you want. I my self am guilty of paying out large amounts of money for games and items and key and such, but there comes a time when you see things for what they are, and then you realize what truly matters.
You entry's would have still counted but yes , it would be better not to have one set of rules then just randomly change them part way through the event.

As promised I was amazed by the rewards (stunned might be another word) and in spite of all the horribly disappointing things Neverwinter has given us in the past we have indeed never got something quite like this. Can't fault them, true to their word a hundred percent.
I have to admit, I feel like we've all been misled by this contest - I don't think any of us would have considered wallpapers to be the reward that would benefit the entire neverwinter community....
Really disappointed right now, expected something in-game, but got wallpapers.
- You'll need to "unlock" the future contests to find out their prizes.
Those wallpapers were just something I made to celebrate the experience of the event using some of our favorite images because I thought it would be fun. I realize that some of the wallpapers depicted living dragons, but I noticed that one of the images used showed up earlier in this thread and people really liked it. That's why I used it. The other wallpaper with a live dragon I chose because I found it emotionally evocative. There were a ton of great screenshots submitted that I would be happy to make into wallpapers.
The actual reward for completing this challenge is that we will begin running challenges similar to this, but they WILL have real, in-game rewards. (e.g. a 2X XP weekend, a new item permanently added to the Wondrous Bazaar) We will be releasing more information about all that this coming week.
It was never my intention to have anyone feel misled, left out, or disappointed.
Trust me, as a fellow gamer, I wouldn't leave you guys with just a pat on the head and a few wallpapers.

As much as I recognise that you mean well, to have the prize of this challenge to be another challenge that will have a prize is kind of redundant and still misleading. You're the one who gave it the big build up (amazing, never seen before, whole community benefits) and even though somewhere down the road those things may come true, that's not how you presented it.
Also it feels like the kinds of rewards you mention are stuff we have seen before or stuff no one will be able to afford (the chance to buy a new overpriced item from the WB, gee thanks). In fact it all feels like stuff that would be implemented whether there was a challenge or not.

A new item.... I'm hoping for it to be coal wards, although I'd be happy with any decent AD sink.
Thanks for clearing up all the confusion btw, glad to hear the wallpapers aren't our reward XD

Either I messed up the time conversion, or I'm missing it, didn't the screenshot section of this promo end now?
