I haven't kept a strict count but I have received some since Mod2 began. Across 8 toons I would say it averages to about 1 c. ward per month. I believe I used to average around 1 per week before Mod2.

I have 8 characters, and no Coal Wards since they changed the drop rates. First week after the change I got one, and none ever since.

About 7 in a year and I had 2 in last month.
2 toons from may to july, 4 from july to december, 5 from december to february and 6 from february to now (might be 7 from august, we'll see if they introduce new class)

Stats I've gathered so far since the adjustments:

    52 coffers of augmentation - 4 coalescend wards (8%), 17 preservation wards (33%), 62 Rank 4s (1.19 per chest), 1 Rank 5 (2%), 5 Aquamarines (10%) and 26 Peridots (50%).

Basically, since January I have received 1 Coal Ward on 3 characters.

If you are wanting approximate drop rates you could wait till you have 7/7 then transfer the character over to preview multiple times , it will give you much more accurate data than people saying " got one a month ago " or whatever , the only problem is it will be super tedious since you would need to do it literally thousands of times to be meaningful.

Why close it, doesn't offend anyone!

2 chars for nearly 9 months, never one piece!

3 chars for a few months (only experimental), also never!

Only about a Dozen since the Changes (I have 10 Toons, but work has been crazy and I just cannot Invoke every day for the next few months). I got one Col. Ward. It was the only one I ever got from Invoking. Ever. And I've been playing since the Beta Weekends, although with a few "Breaks" thrown in when things start to get boring.

It was 5% but the guy who did the initial testing tested more and it is now around 3.22% xD

Since January I've opened 251 coffers of wondrous augmentation and received 7 Coalescent wards. 2.79% of the time.

No, it is most likely not. My sample data so far: 10 wards in 362 chests (2.7%).

Could easily be 5% given such low sample sizes though.

Although my experience is 1 from about 40. (Amusingly enough this is quite near your figure.)

since I pretty much stopped working for this game since this stupid module 3 launch I cant really tell current rates but my guess is that it probably just went even worse. but before I would get a coal ward out every 60 boxes.

The 95% confidence interval is [1.07%; 4.45%]. That is with a probability of 95% the actual probability lies inside this range. Thus I doubt it is 5%. Though that is not impossible.

I'm not an expert on statistics so I could be wrong.

My and my siblings have 14 characters in total.

only TWO coal wards ever dropped since the release of Dread Ring (aka when they nerfed them).

So the drop rate seems to lay between 2.5% - 3.5% , the guy who tested drop rates/RNG on preview opened 1800 and came up with 3.22% but that could have been lowered ( He did the tests in December , also remember preview could have differing drop rates although experience seems to tell me that it hasn't IMHO), the RNG results make desperate reading nowadays compared to back in the day xD

I have 6/193 since the nerf, which is 3.1%.

6 Coal wards, 9 aquamarines, 47 preservation wards, 107 peridots.

Of course, I got 3 of those coal wards on the same day 3 weeks ago. Very streaky.
