Other ways to get the artifacts? It is like the Eye of a Dread Ring with purple glove 0.1% probability of output, In 5 months always peridot or other HAMSTER -.-

Maybe, Cryptic does not realize that there are people who do not have the time for more characters

You are guaranteed to get the artifact , all you need to do is level up another character to 60 and get the requirements to enter Caer konig.

Or perhaps Cryptic decided to actually reward the ones that do. You're not being punished, you're free to get any of the other artifacts from
Free quest (1 free from choice of 3)
PvP
PvP campaign (3)
Skirmish chest and boss drops (3, rare drop)
Kessels retreat (boss drop?)
Valindras tower
Malabogs castle
Profession event (similar to lillend one)
Lockboxes (2 unique, 3 standard ones all of which you can farm to earn)
Dread ring artifact (which admittedly does have a low drop rate)

Either way you're going to have to work for it whether directly or from farming ad to buy one. These 6 or for those that have put in the effort to have multiple toons. The double xp event helped people to get there. If you don't want to, that's fine, but there are other ways to earn artifacts. I'm personally glad people like me are finally rewarded in some way when in other ways it can feel like a hindrance.

I do not have time to get me another character, not everyone can spend 24 hours in the game.

You don't need to spend 24 hours in game , just retire your main character for a week , use the week to level up a new character of the class you want then once it gets to 60 go back to playing your main but spend 10 minutes a day for 14 days doing one dread ring daily and one dread ring lair on your fresh 60 to get the 3 boons required to enter Caer konig.

As becks said, it is not hard to actually meet the requirements.
Further on, all you had to do was make a character and invest about 60-90 minutes (if you do not rush) to get it to level 11 and start doing leadership and invocation. About 10-20 minutes per day can earn you valuable AD for your main character. It makes so much easier to have another toon, storage space, additional 24K AD to refine ...

I find this rather amusing considering I have 11 characters (9 + 2, in two accounts) sitting at Lv 60, even if I don't play with all of them and leveled 3 of them during the double exp event (one from 9, one from 39 and one from 52) without actually spending 24 hours a day in the game. Even if I played for a whole ~12 hours for the last one (from Lv 9) on last Sunday. It was a Sunday after all!

Just level your character enough to get your Invocation and let it level up slowly from the daily exp rewards from Invocation if you "don't have time" to spare.

Which is fine, again its just a bonus for those of us with multiple alts - something nice they decided to do for us. Not a quest that's required for anything else so skipping it won't affect you in any real way.

Other than the people keeping after me to make an alt, or the fact that getting the artifact will be harder if I have to buy it on the AH, or I have people keep nudging me to get it the same way of Smoke Bomb for a rogue, or....

It's a legitimate complaint shared by many here, and something that should be changed for both casual and "dedicated job gamer" alike. I like putting the quality of time into my one character for PvE/ PvP/ RP / crafting/ goofing around rather than spending a quantity of time on a quantity of characters.

Do we get more slots? With skirmish chest, Dread ring dungeon chest, pvp glory I have already three.

No, but we don't need more slots just because there are new options. It is just like we don't get a new helm slot with every mod even though new helms are added.

(In order to accept this quest players must have two level 60 characters who have been to Caer-Konig)
Why do we need two characters to accept one quest?

Totally agreeing with you. I'm waiting for a new class, because of this i'm not using my second Char-Slot.
Even if it's not going to change, they should make these Artifacts sellable, that someone with 1 char can buy it via AH and AD.

There is a workaround.

Once a character unlocks their artifact, it is in their available equipment from the rewards vendor, therefore, if the rewards vendor was a bag, the artifacts would be equipped solely by the respective class. A survival kit isn't always out in the open, but it is equipped, or in your equipment.

Yes.

On the side though, if you look through the Artifacts feedback thread, you'll notice there was an error in the quest dialogue.

My GWF had the CW Artifact equipped at blue level, and the bad news is that the AoE Repel and Root pushed mobs just out of melee range (about equal to the boundary of Steal Time)

The news report was mistaken , class artifacts can be used by all classes once unlocked , quote System designer -

I have notified the proper authorities.

http://imgur.com/UHJZArU this is correct apart from Sigil of the hunter which now has power and recovery instead of deflection and movement.

My only issue with this is that the quest was disappointingly easy. I found it easier than the other artifact quest (the initial "free" artifact that is), and I did them both with (almost) the same lvl 60 character.

I wouldn't have minded a slightly challenging quest.
Hoping for improvements...

hey guys ..where are the two threads refering to artifacts ? i had replied to those threads...administrators deleted them ?
cryptic will increase the chances of getting artifacts from MC,VT arcane coffer... or what ?
IAM still waiting to see one of these artifacts to my account ....Mrs.cryptic.........................

Click on your name on your forum post and click on the 'view forum posts' option , there are two or three posts about artifacts in your posting history , also the artifact from MC is getting battered by the nerf bat in a few days so while it will be ok it will be worth nowhere near as much as it is now and I seriously doubt they will increase the drop rate on MC or VT artifacts , why would they?

Just a tidbit about the CW artifact pushing mobs:

After playing a CW for over 6 months as my primary, the ONE thing that other players hate is for the CW to shove mobs away so that the GWF/GF/TR's Encounter abilities are often wasted. Sigh. Oh well...I sometimes wonder if the Devs ever just pug with groups or join Guilds and play to hear what the common complaints are over and over. If I use Ice Storm/Repel anywhere but on a PvP pad, I get flak. As "Control" Wizards, why not give us a new, cool 'control' feature? After all, most of my abilities have been nerfed to where it now takes two CWs to run dungeons instead of a normal "D&D" group of one of each character like table top. I love this game and recommend it to everyone, but I have to warn D&D players that, now that 'content' has been 'repaired' and CWs got nerfed due to complaints in PvP of control being "too powerful" it's now difficult to complete the Epic dungeons with a classic GWF/GF/TR/DC/CW group. I know this all too well since my guild of real-life friends and table-top players who all have decently high GSs struggle with Epic bosses but when we get on alts as GWF/GWF/GWF/CW/CW we roll through the dungeon bosses with ease.

Many of us were hoping that the new artifacts would meld and work to help us in Epic Dungeons by allowing players to add that "little something" that the classic group lacked such as a little more control, guard, or anything that'd make it feel more like classic D&D especially when in the final boss fight. I'll still enjoy getting the artifacts and leveling them, but if there are already stated problems with the ones on the test shard, why not fix it before it went live today?

Couldn't agree more. It's my pet hate in dungeons.. The neater the pile, the higher the DPS, often. The number one sign of a clueless CW is spamming knockbacks in PvE. I have votekicked quite a few CWs out of irritation after asking them repeatedly to stop spamming repel and friends.

Of course, post tenacity, such a knockback will be of marginal use in PvP, too. The design of this on-use effect is spectacularly wrongheaded, as though the designer of this item doesn't play the game himself, but is going by a design document which lays out how someone imagines that the game is played.
