A friend has the Angel of Protection. I don't know where he got it from, but it wasn't from Ardent Coins. How else can you get one?

The only way to get one is using Ardent coins or to buy one from the AH , there is no other way.

    What is a pray farmer?

In Neverwinter a lot of players create alt accounts or characters that they use solely for the purpose of running leadership for extra AD and praying for the AD and the Celestial coin rewards ,this is what a prayer farmer is.

I can't remember what the collections art asset looks like, but bear in mind the thing is going to have 4 skins and the collection will be the highest one.

At least thats what people are reporting.

Now personally, I think the first Angel of Protection is worth 8-9mil. Then any Angel of Protection sold today is worth 5mil, decreasing by 500k diamonds per week that passess by. It should stabilize at around 2.5mil before the market is eventually flooded with them (relatively speaking).

Is the 15mil price tag justified? It kinda is. The market for this at the moment are for the deep pocketed players with 40-150mil diamonds net worth. To them, this is just an expensive mount or that weapon enchant. Due to the lack of T3 dungeons or T3 gear or 25-man raids or significant PVP leaderboards, the utmost endgame in Neverwinter is about rep.

Is 15mil price tag justified to garner yourself the rep of having the first Angel of Protection? To some yes.

*please note, we all know ****** most likely didn't acquire the first Angel and there are others before him but this is the first advertised one and will be regarded as the first in the history of this game.

It depends apparently. To some who value usefulness more than rep, 15 mil surely is astronomical; while to some, being the very first one in history is more important than anything else because they regard that as an achievement.

On usefulness, her powers aren't really more superior than other fully upgraded healer companions. What is special about her is just being currently the only free epic companion and can be used in SCA tier 6's without additional cost, and probably also her awesome-looking skin (rank 30's, I guess.) But despite having such an awesome and godly-looking skin, she can still be hit by trash mobs and fall unconscious like other companions. It's embarrassing to see such a godly-looking being lying on the ground waiting to be revived.

Sadly, in this matter, D&D borrowed but didn't honor real world lore. It nerfed angels to the bottom and made them not godly at all. Poor D&D angels.

as it seems to me. Considering it takes close to 360 days of continuous praying that is a LOT of time invested. I wouldn't of sold it for that little. But I personally value my time a bit more than some.

So it didn't actually sell for the 50m it was up for? 15m seems pretty decent, a valindras crown costs ~10m give or take for its rarity and this takes a year to get. For it's usefulness value, of course it's not worth it, if you have 15m ad you either managed to farm so much that you don't need the angel, or you have a lot of money where you're better off investing elsewhere eg, artifacts, enchantments or even companion bonuses for that amount even if it is overpriced if you're upgrading companions.

@mods don't close this thread, it's a discussion and no-ones trading. I know how lock happy you guys are.
Edit: this thread got merged for those confused by my comment.

That's almost 40000 Zen and if you were to buy that much it would be slightly over 300 euro ..for a companion, yeah sounds fair.

I still would not of sold it for less than 25 million. But, I don't have it and I'm months away. So I am not too worried. The character I first made was a Guardian Fighter. I'm surprised the Angel isn't bind on account on pickup.

Wow , so the saying really is true , 'some people have more money than sense' can't blame <<name removed>> or whatever his name is for taking advantage of these people.

    Edit : oops sorry

It seems we have two people with contrasting opinions.

Again, read the entire post. It is justified to its target audience.

I am exactly 100 days from an Angel of Protection for Myles from Nowhere, my DC. I too spent some Ardent Coins early on...but then, I made so many mistakes with Myles, my first ever MMO PC...

Actually I find them to be quite cheap I would have thought to go for 2x that. Not that I can afford one.

If any of you lucky angel people have it all leveled up yet, can we see a pic? I'm wondering if it grew a mouth.

Not really cheap. You see, the biggest thing driving up the price is its rarity. That's it.

Each week that passes by, the supply/demand for the angel changes drastically. People with 30+ characters will soon get their angels up for sale.

Like I said in my previous post, you'd be one lucky man to even get 10mil for that today

A little disappointed it doesn't have mouth and legs. I've never seen a picture of an angel type in any of the 7 monster manuals of an angel without the very basic and neccisary necessities of having legs and a mouth, and ive seen LOTS of angelic species. It seems a lazy way to make an angel, and gives it less personality, making it look like a poor robot type thing.

All of the angels in the 4th edition monster manual lack legs and mouths. Though they do have more of an aura below their waist instead of just floating there.
