Character screen is coming up now but it says "the server is unavailable at this time". I guess I will call it a night, hopefully the server is up and running when I get up in...7 hours.. *fingers crossed*

yep, that about explains why I like CW, people call for nerfs, but that's just cos they don't have one/play one/can figure out a good setup/get annoyed cos the CW has all the fun... so suck it up, without that CW doing all that stuff for you, your pointless dps character means squat!
Is the Server still down?, It has a green light and it lets me log-in. But once I reach my character selection and press play with my character it says the server is down.

Try turning off on-demand patching. I'm not getting any patching so, maybe the on-demand is nailing you.
Of course, be prepared for one heck of a big patch. :P

It's their new maintenance schedule - Monday, Wednesday and Friday evenings, PST....
