I am crashing during play on Neverwinter. I apologize if this is the wrong place to post. I am just looking for help from the community, since tech support is failing me and takes very long to respond to emails. They have no phone support (shocker) and do not give any decent help. Here is the info I have provided them with.
Here is the tracert support requested from me.

When I play the game I either get a corrupt pig file or the game client just stops working and crashes to my desktop. I had it crash and restart my computer one time as well. Any help is greatly appreciated. I have already spent money on this game, would like to play it.
Again, sorry if this is not the best place to ask for help. I am stressed and trying to get help from the community, as I mentioned, tech support is not any help.
Tracert would be needed if you were disconnecting & lagging alot, it has nothing to do with crashing though. Is it only the Neverwinter client crashing or the whole OS? Did you exclude overheating as possible cause?

This is happening only with Neverwinter, no other games. I have a gaming rig with a 1 TB HDD and AMD Radeon 7770 with 1GB of RAM. Would there be anything I can look up on my system and post here to help pin point the issue?

My system never over heated playing Skyrim, WoW, or any other game. Would this game over heat my system when other options would not?

A little info on the crashing.
First crash restarted my system, other 3 crashes went directly to my desktop. Game play all under 10 minutes, it will crash or say it is not responding before it crashes. I did a completely fresh reboot of Windows 7 on my system and tried playing again after that. I have no other games or apps on my system but Neverwinter. I did all this before due to corrupt pig files all over my game causing crashes. I am at a loss, because my other system using the SAME internet and hardwired the same way to the same modem is not giving me this issue.

You say you have a corrupt file. You do not mention having tried to force-verify all files through the launcher. Try that.
Is it during gameplay when you change maps or enter a new area that you get the server not responding message?

Last time it happen I was attempting to leave protectors enclave to do a quest. it happen when I was at the map to head to a different zone. It also happen when I was just running around in protectors enclave.
Ok you may need to disable on demand patching , on the first screen where you type your username and password look in the top right corner , click on the options and then uncheck 'On demand patching ' then restart the client , you might get a large patch when you restart but after that you should never get the not responding message again and should only have to patch once a week on Thursdays during maintenance , try that and see if that helps.

Ok I will try that when I get home. Any idea how to fix this instead of just work around it though? I have two gaming systems. One is mine and one is my boy friends. He is not a techie, neither am I, but I know more than he does about PCs. His system is a little different than mine with hardware, but fairly close. We are both using ethernet cords via hardwired and no wifi. Both of our systems are plugged into the same modem for internet. He does not have this issue like I do. I have done the force verify, uninstalled and re installed, rebooted my entire system with a fresh install of Windows 7, and tried many other things. The fact that this is happening is driving me insane. I would like to get to the root of the issue so I can play normally, without any issues...I know his system has the on demand patching enabled. Can anyone help me solve the issue? I will turn off on demand patching, but what can be done to fix the issue?
Thank you all who have been trying to help me out. I really appreciate your time and help.
If that works it is the fix , they have on demand patching as default so that when you originally download the game you don't have to download everything so it makes the original client download faster then as you play and enter new areas the client downloads any new data for that area and that is what usually causes your game to stop responding , I have a fairly decent home computer and a fast internet connection but this problem used to drive me crazy too , it isn't due to your computer being the issue ,its the way the game updates that is the problem.

The only thing I found odd is that it does this on one of two computers...But I will try out what your suggested. Hope it works!

Will I have to do this large patch every time I play? Or will it only update what is needed for patches already out? It is pretty much downloading the whole game it seems, fairly large patch after selecting "On-Demand Patch Off". I am cool with it as long as I do not have to do this large patch every single time I want to play other than Thursday patching.

It is downloading the remainder of the game. Once that is done you will be up to date and won't have to do this again. except for when there is a new patch. Just leave on demanding patching off.

Ok, it is at 60% so I will report with the problem being solved or not once it is complete. I will try and play for about an hour if it does work to keep others informed on the situation.

This did not resolve the issue. Game froze when leaving to another zone. Problem unresolved still. Game crashed to desktop like it has been. Any other ideas before I give up on the game?
What directx version are you using in your options. Also try changing all your options to the lowest setting and then try to play the game.
I have directx 11 installed on my computer but I use directx 9c in my game options.

Wow , that blows , I'm sorry it didn't work Rhoric's idea is what I would have suggested next , in the game open the options menu and click on the video tab , the very top option will let you change the version of directx you are running the game on , if that fails the only other option is to do as rhoric suggested and turn video settings down then slowly turn them back up a bit at a time. Once again sorry the on demand patching idea didn't work , that usually sorts out the not responding issues.

I will try it on Directx9 and lower graphics to see if it works. Should I continue keeping on-demand patching off?
if your hardware was overheating, you would experience system restarts and/or the dreaded blue-screen-of-death. if you're just getting game crashes, it could be something else. i would try changing the dx to 9 as previously recommended. you may also try running the game in safe mode to see if that will allow you to change zones without the crash.
to start in safe mode, when you start the client, click options like you did when you changed the on-demand patching. there is an option in there for safe mode. check it and then start the game.
I was on my ranger hunter when game crashed 2 or 3 times today when I use special power skill .or I don't know if it that cause game to crash:( .. I restart my laptop twice but it didn't help .. I uninstall & reinstall game again its ok now.. then again it crashed again just now

I have tried all suggested options. Put it on Dx9, turned off on demand patch, reinstalled the game, rebooted windows, lowered graphics, etc. Still no luck. Guess I am done playing sucks, I was having fun...
Well, you can still try sending ticket to tech support - just be prepared it takes long time to extract some useful reply out of them. >.<
You can also check the system for the error log - maybe what affects the game making it crash also causes some lil' hiccups in the OS, just not as major as with the game (Event Viewer > Custom Views > Administrative Events).

Did you try 9ex as well, or just 9? Also, make sure you're running the game in fullscreen mode rather than windowed maximized. They look the same, but it makes a world of difference.

to start in safe mode, when you start the client, click options like you did when you changed the on-demand patching. there is an option in there for safe mode. check it and then start the game.
good luck!
If that doesn't help tho', I'm out of ideas.
