You two are making me laugh, its like watching to ppl argue over whether or not a glass is half empty or half full. Honestly pitshade is right. Zankard, I like your idea, it is a good one but it should be integrated into the current queue system. If im reading pitshades posts correctly you should think of it like the auction house search window. You can go there and randomly search for stuff or use the advance search to narrow down your search.
So basically, one could just queue up for a dungeon and take whatever the queue system throws at them like it is now or they can use the advance queue to look for more specific options and narrow down the search.

I'm glad I put a smile on your face. Yes, like I said, that could also make the current system SO much better. I'm not specifically asking for the UI way, just an efficient one.
what i would do is this: a simple "notice" board where people can set up messages free form (LF1M cookie, cookie LF ice cream cake etc etc). You would not have to spam to keep your message there, and can only have one message up at a time. This takes cares of the forever scrolling wall of text. If you want you can add filters by instance type etc if you specified these on the message, but with a board like that it would be 10x more easier to use then LFG even without any filters. Auto-remove messages when the poster enters an instance or logs off etc.
About party creation interfaces (ie apply for pt to auto upload you profile wrapsheet for party creators to see, with the instance you want specified): i have noticed in several games where these actually exist people STILL use chat instead. I would hope a flexible free form message board would actually be used.
Not true. There's been a new flow of under average players lately, with extremely low gear scores and unable to complete some dungeons. There are "useless" players, more and more every day.
It's also a channel designed primarily for people who don't want to use any weird stuff like suiciding mobs, skipping fights, etc. In no way it is a "group finder with better players".
Yep the NW_Legit_Community's purpose is to gather ppl who don't want to cheat. Not elite ppl or

That's almost exactly what I'm proposing in its essence. Perhaps a UI isn't really needed, but there needs to be a function that takes care of groups like that instead of just LF 1 cookie cutter etc like you said. I'm glad other people leave constructive feedback about this.
I played DDO for 5 years up to the last update. (20 if anyone is making any reference The LFM interface was always a great way to find or make a group. When I started playing this game, I could not find any way to get into or make any groups. I looked in the "social" window and it did not make sense to me. It still doesnt really and I have been playing this game since Sep. 2013. To a new player, Im sure it is the same. The LFG chat is a mess. And the points stated above about the que system are valid.
@ krimbarbarroja So yeah, I think that is the best way around it. Oh, and BTW, having played DDO, I completely agree with your point, though DDO did a quatrillion things worse than NWO.
This is not true.
I really dont know what wrong with the queue system? all say its broken that it doesnt work i find it to work perfectly, other than the limit of queues 3, all works as intended.
u choose what dung u want to do lets say CT, u queue for it random queue meaning u get a random group, so u will get 4 more ppl that have queued for the dung, any GS since low limit till whatever gs u can get. and thats what u get.
now... oh but theres alot of ppl queued and u dont get in cuz the queue doesnt make a party, wrong again. for what i see and experienced the queue system works as planned, a dung group should be 5 man 1 DC (healer) 1 GF(tank) 3 dps(CW/HR/TR/GWF).
what the problem then? the problem is why no1 play GF? i have a gf i queue for a dung after dd 2 sec and i am in why? cuz parties that cant do final boss stay there cuz of chest, but 1 quit 4 man party waiting for 5 member, lets ask guild to queue 10 guys queue u have 1dc 3 dps - 10 dps queue from guild no1 enter why? party without a tank (gf) so the system will only give u a GF as 5Th member.
GWF can tank also u will say, yes but queue system was done before HR so the only Tank as GF so for queue system GWF are dps.
so lets ask then to change and let the 5th member be any class wrong again if the queue goes 5man random u get a party with 5 dps u can do the dung? if all are good players and high high GS maybe, will they even try? NO
same happen if u dont have a DC in the party the game will only make the party when 1 dc queue for the same dung as u queued even if there 50 ppl queue if theres no dc the game will not make 10 parties of 5 it will make 0 cuz the healer is missing.
why not 4 dps and 1 dc for parties, if that how we do most dung? well i play GF like 80% of the parties selfmade dont want a GF. so if queue system do the same i dont get in dungs unless i do it myself.
wanna do dungs fast and easy? do like me get a guild or a group of friends that know how to play and have decent gs and run the dungs. right now i am running karr FH SP as GF with no DC to be faster and average GS guild member 10-12k. Tos without GF cuz i'm not dps GF i am a tank (tactic).
and before some1 says u glitch trust me i dont specially when my main pleasure there its bit the challenge of the dung

How about a LFG channel for each specific dungeon.
LFG_karru
LFG_SP
LFG_CC
LFG_ToS

Sometimes the simplest idea is the best.
They way it is now, it obviously works to a certain extent because there are always partied made with Pug's and people haven't stopped grouping up.. True it is messy and hectic. Making separate channels for each dungeon is a great way for people to keep using a method they are familiar with all the while cleaning up the hectic, messiness.
It follows therefore, that this young man will be as unfeeling, as unthinking as the dead, until the day he joins them.

Wow, that would actually inspire me to turn them all off. I can't be bothered when it's just one channel and only really spammy if I happen to be in PE during DD. Plus I like to see all the generic channels out in the separate zones, because other questions do get mis-posted there.

I guess it is all in how your tabs are setup I suppose,. Once I am in a dungeon I no longer see any span of any fo the channels.
When I am looking for agroup, it would be handy if there was one channel I could go to for that particular dungeon.
Or like a previous poster sated, let me filter key words to show in chat.

like literally every game has more elegant and efficient ways to find groups than NW.
Please explain the systems. Maybe a dev would read and pick up on one. The OP gave one, give more. Otherwise I don't think that's true. Heck even I gave a specific one. Search for "dungeon finder or group finder in MMOs" in a search engine. All you get are complaints about pretty much the same systems in every mmo. The consensus on most sites is DDO did it best. Pretty much with all the systems you are still at the mercy of the RNG of the quality of players that join. But honestly this whole thread is more about the ease on the eyes than anything else.
In the games Ive played they either just had the queue or just people spamming LFG in zones.
From reading these posts, and from my own experience, the problem with finding groups using the queue system is that the system requires that both a DC and a GF are included in the party. Getting rid of that requirement would alleviate all of the long queues, at least. Perhaps put a toggle, so the individual can choose whether to join a DC-less and GF-less party or a conventional one.
Also, more ppl would use the queue system if it gave some sort of incentive - bonus potions and AD for instance, or a buff to under-powered groups (those with a low combined GS, relative to the dungeon). You could limit or cap this incentive system at max level, or the higher-tiered dungeons.
The other major complaint I see (and one that I agree with) is that Dungeon Delve events are <font color="orange">HAMSTER</font>. This is because normal boss chests give <font color="orange">HAMSTER</font> loot. My own experience has been that I get 98% of my worth-while loot from random drops in the dungeon. Why the **** does the boss chest give such <font color="orange">HAMSTER</font>, or no gear at all (just scrolls or other junk)?
Put something worth-while in the boss chest for normal runs. Then, during DD, have the extra chest just be another chance for worth-while loot or a tier-6 stone or green companion.

People who don't want to cheat and bother to actually find the channel instantly discards 90%+ of the players you don't want in your party.

I never really mentioned the queue system in my OP, just the /LFG channel.
