pvp is broken, trying to blame single classes is pointless. It's broken in general. Balance does not work, premades simply ownz pugs and sub60 lvl pvp is full of bots.

Making this kind of PvP in NW was mistake. Remove it and start again Cryptic, this is beyond repair.

Come on broken beyond repair is just more hyperbole and doesn't help anyone. If they want to fix it all they need to really do is add in ladders. Maybe pvp seasons with seasonal gear for the hardcore pvpers, that need a team rating of X on the ladder to purchase. Not exactly hard, and definately not beyond repair.

PVP is a total cheese-fest with the premades and the GWFs. And that would be ok if it was like before mod 2 when there wasn't anything really valuable to gain from playing it.

But then Cryptic put out a very nice artifact worth 24.000 glory, driving a lot of people to play match after match after match...

Why do you do that when your game obviously is balanced for PVE and your PVP mode is just a bad joke...?

Yep I raised a CW recently, still around lvl 50. As a rule of thumb:
If it's a TR it may be a bot. Other classes are legit.
If it is a TR and has no mount then it is a bot.
English is not my first language.

It doesn't help, yeah, coz I don't see reason why building PvP on this foundation. It's just wrong. One big lvl 60 queue mixed with premades and all lvl 60 players without taking GS into account, sorry, that so wrong.

Everything except actual game mode ( i like domination) is HAMSTER. NW needs to redesign PvP. Starting with pure PvP skills, propper queues based on actual player/group rating, observer mode, be able to duel someone for testing, be able to create your own team vs team game, be able to create your own map in Foundry, team ladder etc.

Cryptic should just make new PvP Module and remove the old stuff.

I have 4 lvl 60, one lvl 13 and one lvl 35. I really play a lot from start of the game. Bots are everywhere.

While the PvP Q system in this game needs a serious reworking, I still place the majority of the blame on the PvPers themselves when it comes to quitters. Sorry but when you act like a jackhole don't be surprised by other ppl deciding to not stick around for more abuse. I personally don't care about HAMSTER talking, I can just turn off zone chat. But when you are facing a 1-3 opposing team and choose to repeatedly kill them and refuse to let them get any points, why should anyone stay?

Don't get me wrong, Im not saying that all pvpers are D-bags but unfortunately it seems like most are. A perfect example was a match I did the other day. PUGed in like normal, 2 minutes into the match my team had all 3 bases and after checking I realized the other team had 2 ppl leave. So with about 800 points to go I suggested we start trading points. IMHO it makes way more sense to do that then to try and kill someone over and over again. Plus since both sides end up with far more points its a win/win for everyone involved.

So everyone agreed and the other team ran to 2 middle point only to be killed by our TR. We all kept yelling at him to stop an let them cap but he wouldn't, he just kept killing them every time they left their spawn area. I told him (using much foul language) to stop because he HAMSTER over every one else by not letting us get any more points either. His simple minded (and typical) reply was "this is PvP". which pretty set the rest of us to just cuss him out until the match ended to which he left team with the ever infantile (and typical) reply "noobs".

Its players like this that create the mass quitting problem we have today. If you know that your team is clearly going to win the match, why not offer the other team some free points? The only thing acting like a ****** accomplishes is creating more quitters and camp fire squatters. I never quit since im only doing pvp for the daily quest but if my team is getting steamrolled I will just wait out the match at he campfire because if you're not going to let me get any points why should I let you get anymore points from a 5 man gank?

P.S. they really need to allow us to kick team members so we can get rid of these low lifes who refuse to cooperate with the rest of the team.

Yeah, there does seem to be a rather large segment of the PVP population who believe that in PVP there ought to be no rules at all; anything at all, from armor swapping to illicit potion use to animation cancellation to griefing and ganking and piling on "noobs" to spawn-site jumping (before that was fixed) ought to be fair game and totally allowed. So when people complain about these underhanded tactics, their response is, predictably "learn to play", by which they really mean, "learn to cheat, and learn to play with no sense of ethics or fair play at all".

Every sport has penalties for "unsportsmanlike conduct" and PVP ought to have a similar type of penalty for players who are just complete ***holes.

I have never once joined a game in progress and I've never seen anyone join one of my games to fill a leaver

Neither had I, until yesterday. Ive come in and been immediately booted, but this is the first time I stayed. It was early in the match, my team was behind, and we lost.
Premade guild teams ruin PVP. Why on earth would random PUGs want to stay and play against these teams? PVP-matches are only fun when they start on as equal terms as possible

The challenge. Most pre-mades aren't any better than the PUGs. The biggest difference is they tend to work together. They often know to only send one soft person to cap their point, to fight on the points, and target the same people, CWs and DCs first.
Be my guest to try and kill one of the GOOD TRs as a CW in 1 vs 1.

We CWs have the hardest time killing TRs. Of course, any moderately geared and skilled toon will have a hard time against awell skilled, well geared, vorpal/tene using anyone. Once stealth and ITC are gone, a TR dies real fast.

Why are we talking about 1 v 1? This game has no 1 V 1. It's 5 V 5 or 20 V 20. If you find yourself in a 1 v 1 situation, and you're not back capping, you're doing something wrong. In PvP, a CW is a support class. We hide behind meat shields and let loose. That's mostly the only way we're effective.
You think leaving a point to a beastly GWF that you cannot kill is a solution? You do know what will happen after he caps, right? He will leave and come mid and provide superiority to his team, and if you were not able kill him solo on that point, he will wreck your team to oblivion in the big fights at mid.

Once he leaves, you go back and cap it. That's a good job or a perma-stealth TR, who doesn't have a need to inflate his kill numbers. I don't know how many times my team has come from behind against pack hunting pre-mades, by giving them #2, and only taking 1 and 3. It splits them up.
I am somewhere in the game, let's say at b2. Nothing around, the sky is blue.
One second later, I am dead, OS-ed by a stealthed TR.

Not sure what I can improve here.

Keep moving. Run and teleport in circles, if you must. Keep your eyes open. Stop admiring the blue sky. It's very rare that a TR comes the whole way stealthed. They usually come in visible, then stealth when they see their target. When you see that, time them and teleport when you think they should be about to stab you. Pop your shield. Hit them with EF, then teleport backwards until ITC wears out, then hit them with chill strike. You might win, you might lose, but you have a better chance.

Yes, we CWs don't have much survivability. Anyone with brains targets the CW first. That's why we have to hide above or stay with the group. We die a lot, but so do most TRs. Yes, TRs are CW bane. If not for TRs, CWs would destroy everyone out there, if they stay with the group.

You know who's harder to kill than a sent GWF or perma stealth TR? Anyone with a good DC in the group.

back to the point, I think there should be a leaving penalty or at least a 'deserter' debuff of some sort to discourage people from leaving, and afk reporting for spawn afkers and bots.
Deserters annoy me more than those who troll zone chat about how good they are (at using their credit card). Yes, p2w is BS. Yes, premades are BS. Giving up will not fix it.

Because its stupid to stick around an additional 10-14 mins to get 100 glory, when I can instantly leave, then get into a new party. I really dont care about what gear you're using as long as you simply know what youre doing. So sick of seeing people focus GF's or GWF's instead off TR's or CW's...Fighting off caps...Running at full health because it might be a 2v3 at mid ...or everyone going to base cap (1 or 3 depending on side) at start...Seeing bad gameplay like this generally gets me in a instant leaving mood. Sorry but im not wasting my time for such low amounts of glory.

That said the only thing I still need from the glory store is the companion =/ wish theyd add more useful stuff, maybe a Blue or green mount.
