I am kinda sorta returning to Foundry work, and wanted to see if anyone I used to hang with is still here. Nyghoma, Chili, Zovya, Apoc, Lovepeas...heck, even wushin....any of the oldies still creating? I remember like it was only four months ago when we used to have the weekend livestreams, playing through content, critiquing it, showing people how to improve.
Then, people started complaining, saying we weren't giving their quests enough positive reviews...which isn't true, we were positive, we just were being constructive...but anyway. Then my quest got deleted in some weird bug, and I quit.
Well, i got the itch, and I think I'm back to remake that quest and finish my campaign.
So, that being said, who's left? I see a lot of new faces and no old faces...anyone out there?
My quest was deleted in July of 2013. There were no issues, it had not violated any rules. Was deemed a bug. That quest is still missing.

Yeah, old timers are still here. Still hanging in there, though I am on a bit of hiatus while I deal with some medical issues at the moment, I am still keeping my end up from time to time.

. . . . . I don't think we've "hanged" but I am still here! Been here since Alpha, you may remember my "The Dweomerkeepers" campaign. It now has 4 out of 8 planned missions published in it.
. . . . .I have another quest up, "Defend The Lucky Bride" which is designed as a legitimate farmable mission with optional story and lore. Meant for things like the Waukeen and Lliira events as well as for slayer achievements (Lizardmen, Rebels, and Undead Pirates) or just a quick hack'n'slash daily. It's in its infancy and will be adjusted as time goes on to make it not have such a "farm" feeling. Still trying to decide how I really want the mobs to spawn. Right now, they spawn appropriately but I just wish I could make it so they visually "jump" aboard the ship and not just appear there!
. . . . . I plan on making this into a Campaign Series as well adding in different types of mobs for other slayer achievements to following missions.
I remember all these names above me (I don't expect them to remember mine).
Though I've been play-active in NW, my Foundry efforts fall more or less into the same 'zone' as the OP. I've been sitting on a finished work for six weeks, finally decided I'm going to push the button on it tomorrow.
@ the OP: If there's an itch, scratch it. It costs you nothing (except very long, lonely, countless, thankless hours of time, effort, and trouble-shooting stress) -So so why the hellnot?
I put a lot of work into a Halloween quest, but the fact that the New List doesn't show new quests made me abandon it. I just didn't see the point in making a quest when there is no way anybody would see it.
My guildies and I have a couple dozen quests published between us, so I have a pretty good handle on how foundry plays are happening, and the picture is not very good. People are not playing foundry as much as they used to, and the only real way to get plays is to be on the top of the 'best' or 'featured' lists. My featured quests get plays when near the top of the featured list, and nearly none when near the bottom.
Once a week a quest that is not on any of these lists will get played; I am not even sure how people are finding them to play at all!
I don't understand why Cryptic has allowed this bug to linger so long. The 'New List' hasn't worked right since aug 23. The only way to even get on a list is to stuff the ballot box, and that is just silly.

I still lurk on the forums from time to time, but I have decided to postpone creating any more foundry quests until after I finish my own indy game.
There are still untold horrors I want to unleash upon the Neverwinter community though; rest assured someday I shall return, and when I do, there will be such great sorrow in my wake...
I'm still here, been here since the Silverstar program. My Shadowyn Chronicles (first trilogy) is now complete. I took a break from creation and I'm actually just starting a new one-shot quest The Shadowyn Chronicles I tried to do in the style of old-school D&D adventures. I'm hoping to do this one a bit more...epic. I've got a few hidden surprises in store for some roleplaying buddies

None of those people have posted in a while.
I'm still here, but not making foundries anymore.
I wasted five million AD promoting the Foundry.

I've mostly given up, there's just no incentive, and no real way of gaining publicity. The quests that end up on the lists are the cr*appy farm quests, the good quests that people pour weeks into wallow unplayed.

I stopped making foundry quests altogether as all I really ever wanted to make was challenging group based quests to alleviate end-game monotony, which ended up being impossible. I stopped playing foundry quests because there's no real reward after 60 when you don't need the experience points and, as mentioned above, playing them in a group is a boring race to the finish 1-shotting mobs everywhere, so they don't fill the place they could have in end-game content.
Kind of a shame to see developer resources for what could have been something very awesome go to waste. My entire guild was stoked about the foundry when the game first launched, now it's never even mentioned.

New games came out, been playing them. But I've been creeping back to the Foundry lately, creating a random dungeon with no quest or plot in mind. So I'm still around, I guess. xD

SHORLONG! Long time no see.
Yeah man, all the ppl you mentioned left. Some went to other games, some, like myself went back to r/l. Dealing with Cryptic's lame policies and a less than scrupulous community left a bad taste in our mouths. It has been over 6 months since I've touched the Foundry.
Let's see:
No protection for authors against trolls and bot programs
No addition of bosses or good end-quest rewards
Bad incentives for the authors and players to even put time into the foundry
Horrible feature system in place
Those are just a few things that come to mind in a pinch. Not to mention the HAMSTER you had to go through with unresolved issues with your quest. Cryptic did a good job making sure the folks who were making an effort to further promote the Foundry and maintain a healthy environment, abandoned the game all together due to tardiness or being an absentee landlord. A few of us removed our quests in protest.
I think the folks you listed are doing what I am doing. Waiting on another new game company to add a robust Foundry system, learn from Cryptic's mistakes, and run with them. Cryptic had the ball and lost it.
Anyhow Shorlong, drop me a pm and we'll catch up.

Maybe you should take your quest out of your signature since it isn't available. Or put it back up, that would probably be better.

Here - I have given up making public quests now just making ones for my guild.....
This current state if affairs has just about killed off this community - used to be many people posting all day long - now sadly not very many for reasons mentioned here and elsewhere and not a word from cryptic about the problem.
R.I.P. Foundry.
I'm here too. Got my quest on the show before it did away with the old format (I think this was a couple of episodes before you came on as one of the team). Took the criticisms the gang gave me and came back after a month with something way better that had several things never seen before (an industrial freezer, spike room that closed in, goblin spanking), and then it got deleted by a bug. HAMSTER.
So yeah, I'll never be working on one of those again. A month is a long time.

I come check out some posts from time to time and occasionally log into the game to see whats new and usually get disappointed because nothing is new.
I've given up creating since its obvious we're never going to get the tools we need to create the content we want. If they do, it will be too late by that time, what with Landmark on the horizon now. Not that it will be the same kind of creation tool that Neverwinter is or could have been but its definitely something new and interesting.
If you want to know what I've been up to (and a few others from the "old days") check out this Youtube channel.
Good luck with your work, who knows, maybe someday I will find a reason to return myself.
There is a rumor floating around that I am working on a new foundry quest. It was started by me.
I gave up on this game. Foundry was the only reason I played (after zooming through most of the content), and Cryptic just... wow. They had 2 years of STO Foundry, and they learned nothing.
I keep checking the forum every now and then, wistfully hoping they will miraculously do something. But, like another poster mentioned, at this point I just hope something new comes over the horizon that is smarter.

If Planetside 2 is any indication, EQNext is going to be a massive letdown.

Despite not being really as active on the forums in a few months, not logging in, and not promoting my one quest at all, I logged in and checked it today and have gotten another 15 or so reviews and dozens more plays, and a few thousand AD in tips, so even the old content is still seeing the light of day despite being buried under the heaps and heaps of farm and 5-minute hack job foundry's.

Ha. I am in the same boat. I logged in and discovered my quest was featured, and I had gotten the rest of the achievements needed to unlock the book imp.
It is amazing how far you can get with a positive mindset and realistic expectations.

And, I am around still, as well. Just taking a break, my Q3 is quite a hand full and I'm not too inspired.

I can't speak to that, but Landmark looks to be an interesting creation tool.
Minecraft has an interesting creation tool too... it is the game that is attached to the content creation tool that matters tho.
