Nevermber's Guard bonus is just not worth it. At all...
While CIW's one is quite good.
Cold Iron Warrior's bonus affects only companions.

The cat's active bonus is weak. The cat is not. People that like the cat will continue to use it, despite the active bonus being lackluster. The Ioun Stone of Allure also has a rather unimpressive active bonus, but that does not make the stone, nor the cat, undesirable.

To use the stats it gives?
I think I get what you're writing, but Caturday aside there are great reasons to use a cat as your active companion. In general, at high level the augment pets are the way to go and the cat is a solid choice.

yes as i posted a couple of days ago, the cat bonus is totally useless and need to be changed into something usefull. It is the worse bonus in the whole active companion bonus list.

Wrong. The stobe of allure bonus is good for all those lifesteal build and for everyone couse deflection is always a good bonus.

Yes to se the stats it gives, but it is ridicoulus that a companion that cost 833k AD has a bonus worse than every other companions.

Active bonus for the ioun stone of might only says it gives stamina regen. Would this also include a GF's block? Seems like it would, but was wondering since it doesn't mention block.

Eh, most of them are kind of meh but can be used to your advantage in different ways. More stat points are always nice, and there are a couple of creative places where you can enjoy using falling damage to your advantage such as Hotenow. :)

I view the new companion bonuses as a nice addition rather than as something critical. It's nice to see the thought that went into it in terms of trying to make them relate to each companion. Sure, some of them (such as the cat) are quite underwhelming but given the fact that we have all been getting by without them it doesn't seem (to me at least) like such an issue that they're not all spectacular.

It may not say it when this goes live (translation issues) but it does now affect Guardian Block regen rate.

do purple companions (eg Galeb Duhr, Honey Badger etc) need to be leveled to 30 in order to enjoy the full active companion bonus stat?

or will I be able to enjoy Galeb Duhr's 10% bonus damage even at level 1 itself?

Purple companions will provide their full benefit at rank 1. Only the quality matters, not rank for the active bonus.
