New: Companions Collection in Module 2 - Shadowmantle, including Active Bonus

fondlezfondlez Member Posts: 0 Arc User
UPDATE:

This post is out of date. If you want to refer to the latest Active Bonus for a Companion (which sometimes change on Preview), it may be best to refer to Dardove's excellent and maintained text thread detailing the bonuses: http://nw-forum.perfectworld.com/showthread.php?517521-List-of-Active-Bonuses-for-companions

The alternative is, of course, to log into Preview yourself and view the Companion collection.

===

From the Preview Shard, captures of tooltip descriptions, including the new Active Bonus of the 46 Companions currently in the "Companions Collection" (Ctrl-J hotkey),

Nicely done :) , thanks for the effort.

May i ask if the active bonuses is affected by companion's level aswell or only affected by the companion's quality?

I have compared two ioun stones ( blue and blue) @ level 25, and realized an increase in active bonus stats when i upgraded one of them but i haven't tested if they gain more when they level up.

    Thanks for the info.

Although this is a step in the right direction to make companions other than the augments more usefull I highly doubt this will have any effects because the active bonus applies to you only. Companions already do fine when you solo, then they are not totally useless. Adding a little buff to them will make soloing a little better.

The real problem though are dungeons. Here people rather use their stones and cats. Even if I have a small buff from my companion I won't switch out my stone. Instead of giving only a buff for yourself companions should give group buffs. Only then they become useful for a team because then you could mix your companions so that you have the biggest advantage with the current team setup. Like if you have 2 TRs you might take 2 Blink Dogs with you so they both get double Combat Advantage bonus and so forth.

But the nice thing about the new system is that you don't need to switch out your companion to get the active bonus. You get it as long the companion is slotted into an active slot.

So basically those who buy tons of active slots for ZEN will rock the house...

Seems like an unbalanced system, should be limited somehow to summoned, not active.

The active slots now unlock if you don't buy them. You get the 4th active slot at level 30 and the 5th at level 60. The benefit to buying them is getting the slot early.

The bonus the Boar gives applies to your summoned companion and not your character.

Sadly not. It affects the companions crit severity, so only the boar's attacks have increased crit damage.

Not just the boar. It effects whatever companion is currently summoned, provided the Boar is slotted in an active slot.

Does the Active Bonus increase after the companion's quality being upgraded? ex: white to green, blue to purple, etc.

Just found the answer at here.

I upgrade ioun stone of allure on preview.. from blue to purple.. went from 105 life steal and deflect to 165 of each. so yes.. upgrading quality does change the bonus buff.. some people post not testing.. so u get answers like 'just quality' ..

    No Lillend!!!???

Looks like TR's will want Fire Archon, Galeb Duhr, and Dancing Blade
Up to 10% more damage with Galeb Duhr o.O and an additional 5% damage outright to foes below 50% with fire archon

He only listed companions that were part of a collection and promo companions like Lilend aren't supposed to be part of collections.

That being said, Lillend's active bonus is that when you use a daily, nearby friendlies are healed 2% of their max HP. There is a 30 second cooldown before they can be healed by this effect again though.

An upgraded blink dog might be nice as well, given what a high percentage of combat advantage damage we deal. I'm guessing that if it's a 2% increase as a green companion, it probably goes up to 4 or 5% for a purple. [haven't tested, anyone who has feel free to correct me if I'm wrong]

It is 3% at blue. Likely is purple at 4%.
