New Channel on Dragon dedicated to Legit Not Exploit Gaming

After reading the recent discussions on the large use of exploits, I decided to create a channel, which I hope will become an ever growing community, dedicated to those players who want to play legally as programmers have designed the game without the use of exploits or cheats.

I hope this chat avoids many players to lose several minutes to look for a party only to see someone who leaves the party because you do not use exploits or vice versa.

This post is not intended as a criticism of those who use exploits, but only the need to provide a meeting point for all Legit Guilds and players that love this game.

    Not to be the grammar police or anything but there are two "m"s in Community.

    I wish we had such channel on Beholder... even the guild i joined, because i wanted to not compete in doing speed runs... started doing speed runs... (i left their party, like a quitter because of it) :(

    Anyone can make a global channel. You could make this channel for Beholder yourself, and invite people to join it. :)

    sweet, people thinking like me :D

    Had the same idea two days ago and setup a german channel for this as kinda "pretest", also posted in german forums... well two users so far and no reactions in that thread...
    wanted to give it a try on english forum, but now its done by you :D

    I will tune in tommorrow.
    also will give it a post on the thread I started in german forums, may to find some more who will tune in...

    I like this idea.

    I remember once joining a party for Temple of Spider that was looking for experienced players. When we finally got through the dungeon by the use of glitches, my teammates tried to somehow glitch the boss. When that failed they were too afraid to even face the boss... Dungeon ended with everyone leaving before the final boss...

    Gratz for the idea & looking forward to using it:)

    I'm happy to be a part of non exploit guild already but it's great to have option to get a normal run outside of guildies play hours.

    Punting mobs off edges, despawning them by staying at certain location (not terrain exploit), running towards next fire then fighting bravely, but hey, maybe becoming overcome and dying there, repelling Red Wizards on ledges during a certain fight allowed? How about stacking 3x a certain class with a certain specific gear set, hmm :)

    Just curious.

    If you ask about stacking some specific gear in a team, that cannot be called an exploit or cheating of any kind.
    If we have buffs or debuffs that will help us during the game why shouldn't we use them...I mean c'mon it's a part of the game, huh?

    Awesome stuff, I will spread the word amongst my fellow Purple Dragons, I know a few for sure would enjoy the fun of non-exploiting, including myself :)

    Fun thing is, with people who knows how to play, proper dungeon crawling takes the same amount of time that bad players cheating...

    I ve just done a SP run in 30 minutes without glitching, almost without pushing... nuking both first bosses in less than a minute, is just a matter of good parties, and the final boss took maybe 4-5 tops, also ToS, Karr, FH are so fast on a good group that speed running jumps are stupid... only bad (really, really bad) players exploit.

    Right now there's very few people running dungeons at all, even fewer willing to do it the non-exploit way, but good luck to your channel :)

    /<channelname> doesnt work on this channel, getting systemnotify "/dragon unknown command"
    I guess "Dragon-Legit" should do it (?)

    Yes, keep spaces out of the name for it to work as a chat shortcut.

    Suggestion:

    Change the channel name to DragonLegitCommunity

    Benefits:

    Under 21 characters
    Proper grammer
    No spaces

    If you go with the suggestion, just edit the original post.

    This is a fantastic idea, and I hope someone from Mindflayer incorporates it as I am a member of a guild that does legit dungeon runs. Hope it really helps for the legit community!
