DMG Resistance dosent matter fool Plague fire and armor penetration eat right though it. I see you just dont get it why is deflection so good i will tell you again when you deflect it reduces the incoming dmg by half so being able to deflect 50% or more of all incoming attacks is omg <font color="orange">HAMSTER</font> did i mention dmg resistance is then factored into the dmg that you will take after the deflect and be reduced even more. But Armor pen is factored in before all this so if you getting hit by some one with 24% armor pen that's 24% of your dmg resistance gone right there Plauge fire will then eat there remainder of it putting it in the neg if you have a CW putting RoE on you and HV stacks on you your dmg resistance is a null-factor and working aginst you at this point if your lucky you mite have 10% dmg resistance if you use Unstoppable but you will probably be using to to run to a pot by then.
Deflection is dmg resistance Nothing can touch not P fire RoE Or HV stacks or Armor Pen taking a big chunk from it will put a fat dent in sentinel builds cuss after 1.5k deflection it suffers from horrible DR. you cant hit 20% deflect with just 2k worth of it you need max dex also.
My GWF will have 44%+ deflect chance after the nerf. SO nerfing the deflection didn't really affect my build and thats what im discussing here.
It only hurts the PvE specs. Please read my post again and see that im comparing a nerf to another.
Nerfing some of the dmg resistance GWF get from unstoppable wont hurt the class as much as nerfing their deflection. Since like you said, deflection counts before the damage resistance, it would be very viable in PvE especially when dealing large amount of targets.However in PvP my sent deals with 5 targets maximum so the deflect chance would still work no matter how much they nerf it.

First off P fire is easy as hell to stack on a target permanently a single CoI will give 3 stacks of it as it stand now GWF attack are easy to see coming flourish especially. I am not talking like you will just stand there i would expect you to pop Unstoppable if you have it up i never fight sents alone like i said it take me and a GF or me and TR to kill a sent its easy if you don't have rage up we will just chain CC you as you cant use unstoppable if your on your *** the whole fight your dmg res is a null factor against my anti dmg reset build and in fighting two originated people coordinating on TS but then again that's a whole another set of variable's to consider and enchantments as i do run G tene on my CW also and about 30k HP.
Its also quite easy Ignore your GWF and stick a perma stealth TR on a point so no one gets any thing from it even with Gtene your dmg is still quite Poor AT probably 1 or 3k power you mite have and the fact Gtene have a 20 second CD also.
My unstoppable heals me with a percentile of my HP because of a Unstoppable recovery feat. So lets see here, when i use unstoppable i get:
- Massive damage reduction.
- Temporary hit points.
- Healing myself while i'm standing like a hulk.
And on top of that, i can just activate unstoppable again and again because i get determination out of thin air... G.Tene only deal 7k damage if i have ~34 k HP.
It is my ridiculous survive-ability i get from unstoppable that make me proc my Tenes more than once.
I wont say you dont have a GWF but its pretty clear to me that GWF is not your main class. Stop askin nerfs to other classes, learn to play yours and understand once for all that classes werent made to be equal in every aspect... you just have to choose wich one you like to play best and accept the PROS and CONS of your own class

I have a sentinel GWF. The reason why i made this post was because it took 3~4 to kill me ( 3 people if decently geared). I'm not asking for nerfs at all i'm asking for alternative nerfs that wouldn't hurt the GWFs who runs the PvE specs. Because if cryptic thought that by nerfing slam,bravery and master at arms they would fix the sentinel GWF immortality then they are wrong.
There is not a problem with sentinel atm even with its mas deflection chance there easy to deal with if your team is not a pug or completely stupid. The problem is rolling against a team with two of them then its gets annoying.

It is the Unstoppable folks. I was able to solo every boss while questing from level 1 to level 60 on my GWF. I cleared all zones all by myself (excluding the zone main dungeons like Temple of the spider / karandux etc) just because of my unstoppable.
Congratulation, that would be quite the bragging rights if I had not also solo'd to 60 all the zones on my Gwf, my cw, my tr, my gf and my dc. Antd the other 4 classes even did it without unstoppable. WOW I know right. How could they do it without the overpowered unstoppable.
Here is your problem most likely. You are not very good at playing this game. You are having problems against a particular class and now you want a blanket nerf to make your life easier. No nerf will help you. You will still have a problem. You suck.

You know that we have to spend feat points for the 5% health regain on use? So quit complaining about unstoppable. The regen from gear and a high HP pool is what you are complaining about.

This is not the issue, and shows you maybe don't know this class so well. Look at a player like TankMode or Blessa (both Mindflayer), and you'll see what it is. It's the amount of health they regen for, they use a very specific set of items, very odd to the inexperienced player if you spec them, that gives them INCREDIBLE amounts of HP. That's primarily how they survive. They stack regen and HP. Unstoppable is just icing on a cake already loaded with sugar. Sentinels are **** annoying to face, there's no doubt about that. I generally cannot 1v1 a Sentinel now that is speced properly, at least not until I have my full enchant set I'm going for. They have too much health. It's like facing a DC who's stacked properly and has a perfect soulforge, ain't happening.
gf=a ranged taunting atack with 0 dmg.(better then nothing)
dc=no idea didnt played it:P
TR=stealth(with stealth his hits get new abilities...its ok)
CW=an allready existing spell that gets slitly better(this is a joke actualy its almoust nothing inprovement of one single skill???)
HR=changing stance from close combat to ranged combat and viceversa...(all hits change by stance)
GWF=(and this is cool)50% more def(lol gf is like a fly near his def);temporary hit points;increased determination regeneration;control imunity;breaking from control;much faster atack ratewith a very small dmg reduction(its like doubling his atack if not more);and im pretty shure i forgot something...

i would like to ask the game makers:why do we exist?i play gf...but gwf with MY PARAGON PATH-iron vanguard can very well tank instead of me...actualy he is better becouse all the aoe skill he has,more def,health regeneration and so on....
his huge atack doesnt need tr or hr involvement and cw are not neaded eather couse gwf actualy benefits from fighting crowds of mobs...the more they hit him,faster determination grows,faster gets in unstapeble mode and that's it...nothing can kill it anymore...only class that could have the honor to stay in a raid near the gwf is the dc...that can heal him...but if you put 5 gwf together with their pets,they can do like any instance of their level...
unstapeble mode is a a bad joke...and a lack of respect for the players that play other classes...ask a gwf...they will admit it...and shame to u game developers that you permited this to happen,made huge amount of money from this and u have no respect for us,the players...even a kid of 6 years can play a gwf...and sadly they think they are good players to.
forgot to mention my gf is 13k gs and i kill 16k gs gwf in pvp...in 1v1 only and after a long long...a...long fight...

Either way, changes are already in the works for the next Module. Please do us a favor and read the updates to GWFs, CWs, HRs and GFs as well as the feedback posted by the players for the Preview shard. GWFs will not be face-tanking and damage-dealing simultaneously (unless they have already reached 15k+ GS..at which point, all classes seem OP).

Ooh, beta GWF thread. Back when they really did get nerfed to the point of being a joke. Memories!

It wouldnt hurt the game much - GWF is useless for PvE both damage and tanking and in PvP people cry how OP they are.

As you said, "guild runs", in a zone chat party your GWF will never get invited. That's the issue here.
