Proc is short for procedure and refers to a chance of a skill/weapon/armour effect being triggered, often when certain conditions are met.
GG - generally good game, in NWO however it is an abbreviation of Gauntlgrym.
Stacks can refer to three things:
1) Items that combine to take up less bag space. (I had 20 individual items, but now I have 2 stacks of 10).
2) Buffs or debuffs that increase in potency as more are applied. (I have 5 stacks of that debuff).
3) Abilities, stats, or bonuses that can combine. (Item X stacks with Item Y, but does not stack with Item Z).
QQ refers to crying, as the two Qs look like eyes with tears leaking out. Usually said crying is of the pointless and petulant variety.
GG refers to good game. It can be used in a positive or negative way, by either team. For example, if I had a great fight with anothe team I know, I might say "GG" and mean it. It can also be used to make the end of the game, when a pivotal event occurs. For example, if the match is close but the enemy team caps 3 bases and then farms our spawn point, someone might say GG to indicate it's over.
Proc refers to an effect that has a chance to occur either at a random or set interval. The origin of the term is unclear, but my preference is "Potential Rate Of Cast".
The origin of QQ, comes from Warcraft 2, where players were able to quit out of battle.net matches with the command Alt+Q twice. This lead to various trolls telling other players to just QQ because they are unskilled.
Over time, the original meaning became lost, and it is now more commonly known as crying eyes.
Mark is going to depend on context. Here in NWN it could refer to a guardian fighter's mark. In some games it means a group visible icon you can put on enemies to indicate the target "everyone kill the red skull or "bob, tank the green clover" sorts of things. In yet other context it can mean your victim of an upcoming attack. I am unsure of it being used in this game regularly... ??
stacks --- usually it means 2 skills work together linearly or better. That is, say 2 classes had an attack that lowered an enemy's defense rating by 1000, and if both were put on the target, and the result were 2000, it "stacks". Or if they were multiplicative, somehow (this is almost always a bug/oversight in game design). If however they were % based, they may not stack --- stay the skill took off 10% of the current total, the first one takes of 10% of 100%, but the second takes off 10% of the new 100% (now 90%) and is less effective, and the third time less effective still, .... after a while it does too little to matter in a large group, that would be "not stacking" or "stacking with diminishing returns (DR)". Or if they hard coded the game so that 1000 were the max removed, the first hit does its job, the second one does nothing at all, that is absolutely NOT STACKING. See? Stacks can also refer to items in your bag, and to the same effect applied multiple times (4 stacks of chill, for example).
Pick up group. It is a group that comes together more or less random like for example, through the queue or grabbing people you don't know from zone chat.

proc = programmed random occurance
not trying to be a smartass here. I was baffled when i found this one out. I always thought it's a english word not an acronym.

Sorry, but that's not correct. Programmed Random Occurance is actually a backronym. That isn't what it originally meant, and was only coined after the fact. It originated with spec_proc which is actually short for special procedure. Comes from old MUDs.
QQ is not two eyes crying. This has another false definition which has been attributed by people who understand the context but not the origin. Pretty funny how this English language works.

I've heard these terms used in regards to the game, but I don't know what they mean:
- "Proc"
- "Stacks"
- "QQ"
- "GG"
- "Mark"
Thanks in advance.
"Proc" means Procedural chance and typically refers to an effect with a % chance of occurring.
"Stacks" can either refer to a power effect which can stack from either the same source, or different sources, (like if 2 people cast the same spell, the effect can stack), or it can refer to how certain items in your inventory can stack, (like healing potions of the same type).
"QQ" means "quit crying" and is meant to look like 2 eyes w/ tears running down.
"Mark" refers to the tab ability that Guardian Fighters have, and some of their and Great Weapon Fighter powers can also mark targets - it's a form of taunting enemies.

"Stacks" means that abilities stack on each other or are combined.
"Mark" means you place a mark/symbol on a target.
I think "QQ" means whining/complaining needlessly.
The rest, IDK.
QQ is crying.
GG mean good game, which could be used in a sarcastic tone, or in the case of NW means Gauntlgrym.

GG is Gauntylgrym
QQ apparently comes from a programmed quit command (as in, exit the game), but is now commonly used to refer to dramatics ("I quit").

QQ is crying. Two eyes, with tears flowing from them. (Sorta like is a smile. Two eyes with a mouth under them.)

Well, it was mostly a battle.net thing, Warcraft 2 was in '95, Starcraft came along in '98 (I thought it was older)

omg! no one knows!
www.google.com
Type "What does [insert term here] mean?" in the search window - or something similar - and press enter.
Even Google says it doesn't know for the "idk" term.
I'm assuming you're joking, because google has countless hits on this... but it would be funny :P

Your assumption dear Sir is most likely right.
...at least i really hope so. Well since 60% of Americans strongly believe that planet earth is 10000 or less years old, everything is possible.
Hence me hesitating. Also, you really can't ever know with people online.
