This is a huge problem and sadly not as easy as reporting those that do it... since hitting 60 I have not been in a dungeon group that hasn't wanted to climb walls and drop through floors and as far as I can tell all dungeons are affected. Chat is full of LFG particularly around DD time and only twice have I ever seen ppl asking for a full run no exploits/cheats etc all the other has been FAST RUN must know shortcuts... It's come to the point where I don't bother with dungeons anymore it's all about skipping as many fights as possible rushing from boss to boss there's zero fun in a loot zerg for me.
Oh I understand. Remember this is a f2p game. Many of these cheaters wont be around long... many are passerbys. They live in PuGland because they see little value in rules, camaraderie. They play the game for a few weeks and move on to the next game. And the cycle repeats.
If you have a desire to play the game the way it was meant to be, that's a very good thing. Guilds arent the only way, but its the best way I know to find groups of players that play the way you want to play. Then, you'll have no need to bother with the passerbys.
guys like you are the reason i never solo queue, you are the type that is slowing everyone down, you and your righteous attitude while getting buttfked by the game design, maybe you want to spend 50min every 6h on a single dungeon that you may or may not even finish, that could or could not drop you your required T2 set piece but most normal people understand what efficient farming is.
and if you want to min/max your game you have to adapt, but go on slow brainer, keep your green gear, I'm sure with this passive attitude you'll be good at something in life.
Two sides of the same coin. Both want to complete the dungeon. One wants to get to the end quicker than the other.
You would hate grouping with me. I want to see every corner of the map. Just two ways of playing.
My advice to the explorer types like me, find a good guild. Farmers don't have patience for us and vice versa. While they are ready to charge ahead you and I are brushing cobwebs off a statue.

I love looking for hidden stuff in dungeons but after the 10th time through, who really wants to kill a mini boss who drops nothing but guards two largely useless chests?
Use the <removed exploit lead-in> to interact with the auction vendor.
Ugh, OP is what normal people consider a nightmare in a PuG. A self righteous, whiny annoying "I'm tell teh devs on you!" type that spawns so many rage posts in the forums.
Most bad PuG groups are because of people just like the OP, who is ironically annoyed that "everyone else is doing it the wrong way!!" Even after being provided devs quotes that destroy your whole complaint utterly.
I'm sure your guild is a great place for you. I'm glad you found a soft landing.

I'll never understand how people like this can think anyone of respectable demeanor could possibly take them or their statements seriously.
I like to take posts like yours, and imagine you reading it off a sheet of paper in front of an open forum, developer round table type event where the game's designers hear directly from it's fans.
I'm sure they would take every word you said seriously.

No, youre right, The devs want you to skip their content and just loot boxes without killing anything.
Not a "dungeon sprint".
Not a "dungeon leap-of-faith".
Not a "dungeon shortcut".
Not a "dungeon loot-o-matic 5000".
"Dungeon crawl".
They didn't create wave after wave of mobs that crash into the group for the sole purpose of slowing everyone down and making it take longer to get the loot that people seem to feel entitled to. They put them there for all the people who *don't* want to walk around examining relics of the past or talking to old wizards about their schoolyard antics, so that players with a more active type of playstyle have something to *do* in a dungeon. It seems like many of the players in Neverwinter are expecting it to play like HALO or Super Mario or something. If the amount of "twitch" that's currently in Neverwinter isn't to their liking, then certainly they would rather enjoy something else?
Sometimes it seems that many folks expect to just push open the door to a dungeon, walk inside, and *voila*! Legendary relics of power just magically appear in their pack with gold and diamonds showering from the ceiling, simply for walking through the front door! That's not how it works, and everyone knows it. Even the people that say they wish for it to be that way don't want it, because then there would be no point to doing it.
The current state of dungeons could obviously use improvements. Nobody is arguing that point. However, when the players are facing off against computer-controlled intelligence that is very limited in it's capabilities, it becomes necessary to enforce restrictions on the players to keep a modicum of equality between the two. When the AI is restricted to it's little black box while the players are thinking outside the box, it's plain to see that there's simply no contest between the AI and the players, so how can the players honestly expect the same rewards for defeating something that's so far beneath them?
It's almost like people *want* to be the NFL football team playing tackle against an all-girls 5th-grader flag-football team because "it's faster and easier", and when they completely obliterate the opposition they still expect to get a championship ring out of it instead of being called dirty names and getting banned from the league.

Most little kids don't understand how things work. They want everything and they want it now and they don't want to work hard to get it. It's not surprising to see this attitude in-game when it is the same as it is outside of the game.
Basically people always want something for nothing.
When you become a responsible adult you realize this attitude is unsustainable and unrealistic.

You forgot that then they go brag about this accomplishment, non-stop, along with their own greatness, as if any intelligent person can't see through it in a heartbeat.
This is today's society. It is not specific to this game or even the internet.
Personally I like to do as much of the dungeon as possible. I like to open all the chests and give people chance to grab all the skill nodes. I like to kill all the bosses and mini bosses and see what pretties we can get. I don't cry if people wanna skip sections by not going down that corridor or hugging a wall, but the jump around like I am in a side scroller from the 80's just to skip huge sections you can keep cos I am no good at that stuff.....kick me cos of it if you like.
However, I do feel a lot of people these days are too fast to call something an exploit or a cheat. 1 mmo I played they even cried exploit when people kited a boss or let their pet tank a boss.
That is just stupid lol. Shortcuts are not there by design, you are telling me that hopping on a rock then jumping off in a spot where you cant get out of just so you can fall forever, then type /stuck after 15 seconds or so to teleport to the 1st boss was intended by the devs? I don't think so. That's just idiotic.
Using the terrain in war is one thing. This is a game and games have rules. You break the rules there are consequences. Just like in real life if you commit a crime you get arrested. That's the consequence.
Agreed 100%

Strangely my first few T2 runs have been with pug that want to exploit the boss fight/dungeon this way or that (clipping threw rocks to jump over gaps/climb over ledges, avoiding the reach of boss Red Range of Death areas) and almost every time the boss fight goes as such. Exploit way to boss. Exploit boss fight is explained to those first time runners. 5 deaths later and still no luck one of the new guys to the dungeon suggest the tank/spank & train adds. Strangely enough chest are being looted on the 6th run.

Me. There aren't a lot of us but there are those of us that want to see it all every chance we get. "Is that a mimic? Yes! I've killed it before and I'll kill it again!"
I am not amazed people want to skip. I am amazed that the same people who were enraged with the AH cheats are themselves using cheats in dungeons.. " NOT NATURAL SHORTCUTS! ACTUAL CHEATS! LOL" a cheat is a cheat is a cheat...
Ok, Stalin
4 pages into this thread and nothing but the same HAMSTER from you. Maybe you should move to North Korea, I'm sure "cheaters" will be punished to your liking there.
I agree with you OP. In fact I started a thread very similar to this one. One of the arguments frequently cited by cheaters is that they cheat because they can. They don't use those words, of course, but when you boil away all of the rhetoric, that's what they're saying. I like to think of them as Lance Armstrong clones. Fortunately, the shortcuts and other exploits they use are being closed off, so they'll either be forced to stop cheating or leave the game. Either way, we win.
In the meantime, what do you think of forming a guild for non-cheaters? Anyone who's interested can post here or PM me. I'm on Mindflayer. When the shards merge, we can merge the guilds.
After the monotony of doing something more than 100 times, people are going to draw a straight line from A to B and try to close that gap as fast as possible. This is a product of the game not releasing new content. PERIOD.

OMG! It has been a month and people with no life are out of stuff to do!!! It is the games fault for not spoon feeding content on a daily basis for the people who have not seen the sun in a month!
Seriously, every single group I get into these days, people are trying to use exploits to take shortcuts to try and skip content, or even doing these "preclears" for a dungeon delve is also a cheat. When getting into a group people are just shocked I don't want to cheat. I have had several people just throw a complete tantrum, because I did not want to use an exploit to skip content.
Seriously, PW needs to start banning these people. An example needs to be made for this to stop. I just want to play the game how it was intended and do not want to cheat or use bugs to do exploits what the heck is wrong with that?. Why do you think the markets are so flooded with end game gear? Its because during a Dungeon delve they use cheats and clear 3-4 dungeons in a single hour and get chests on them all, castle never included.
I realize everyone was very offended during the AH cheating scandal, Why is there no outrage over these cheats? because almost every single player is doing them.
PW please start banning some people for this, if examples are made of the worst offenders this type of behaviour will stop and we can actually play the game as intended and not just being lazy and try and cheat the system.
I agree there are some exploits to skip content in some dungeons BUT there are something called BEING SMART some dungeons can be done in 10 mints with absolutely no cheating/exploiting what so ever just SPEED RUNNING which is NOT considered cheating at all because really you are just skipping the fight by running thats all and there is nothing wrong with that

Oh I cannot wait. Cheaters forced to play straight or leave, happy day. If you do start such a guild feel free to LMK. I am also so happy about the NEED being grayed out. I CANNOT wait! Again, today, went all the way through Cragmire Crypts on my CW. Bodyguarded the Cleric the whole time and brought him up twice when he was down. At the very end he needed on the CW armor that was the drop and I got screwed.

****ing authoritarian nutbag.
Maybe that's because you cheaters keep using the same rhetoric to justify your CHEATING and ruining the game for the playerbase who actually wants to PLAY the game?

Explain to me how a group bypassing trash spawns in a dungeon ruins the game for you? Further, explain to me how killing all the trash is "PLAYING" the game, but killing some of the trash is somehow not playing the game? Further, explain to me how it is that your personal idea of the right way to play the game is in any way authoritative?
You're an authoritarian. You want everyone to do things the way you do, and you're willing to impose penalties and punishments on those who don't. It's bad enough in real life, in a game it's just pathetic.

So your only response to your cheating is to call someone else who likes to play the game as intended, names? However I will answer the self-evident question anyway. The trash is put there by the Devs, so obviously killing the trash was as intended. Using exploits to bypass the trash or just not exploring but rushing through is not intended. Otherwise the Devs would have just made a big room with a chest.
Calling someone names and making judgement on them without knowing anything about them is what is truly pathetic.

TRASH mobs in this game are nothing other than a TIME SYNC.
So yeah ill skip, glitch, do w/e it takes to not waste pointless hours when really all I want to do is play LOOT DRAGONS ONLINE.
And no, im not being sarcastic.
You want the fanebase "esp the hardcore" to clear your worthless trash without avoiding/dunking it then theres a very simple SOLUTION.
Make the trash WORTHWHILE to kill. That is all.
You could fix the glitches but that option is already not viable due to no resets, the damage is done.
