Why run the quest now? There wont be any chest or nodes to loot. So all the new players will be told to level up with foundry and PVP and forget the quest lines as there not worth the TIME it takes and the amount of healing POTS. Go pvp get more exp and you dont even have to use 1 healing pot.
There is a difference between reducing the number of nodes/chest and totally no nodes/chest. Get your facts straight. Low to mid level, do you actually need pots??? O_o I find my cleric companion more then sufficient. My first use of pot was at approximately lvl 56... problem???

The XP from quests is much better than PVP and foundry, healing pots drop en masse off of mobs that you have to kill to do said quest, if you are using more than what are dropping you probably need to l2p. An average pvp match takes about 15 minutes. You can do easily 3 quests in that time, if your good you can probably do about 6. XP from one pvp match is about the same as 1.5 quest xp, so yeah your very wrong about this.
It's only worth PVP'ing to level once you are 50 + because the glory you get from it is actually worth it, otherwise the only real reason to do it is to have fun.
TLDR; I was exploiting this and now I can't anymore. -RAGE!-
Glad you're leaving, move along..
Or he's pissed about having less nodes and chests to loot when he did nothing wrong?
I wish you were the one leaving, if this is your attitude on the forums.
Personally, I get tons of useful stuff from nodes/chests (like enchantments and the occasional blue professions item) and I can understand why he's upset. I haven't actually played the game since the AH went down again though, so maybe he's over-blowing it. I'll have to log in and find out.

But not you. It's called "a market". Someone doesn't want something and you give them something in exchange for their something. And you're both happy.
There will be always someone willing to bring you that something because someone will have something that they value more than their something.

I cant believe you NERF that many of the chest and node drops its unacceptable and that my friend is the straw that broke the camels back. I'm done not gonna spend anymore of my time playing this game, but you can bet your *** I will live on these forums ten to sixteen hours a day crying and raging on every thread!
So since you got taking advantage by a few you screw over the rest of us and the next ones that try this game out. By the time you get another wave of new players I bet this game is gonne be a SHELL of what it use to be.
In other words you exploited now your raging because the well ran dry.
RIFT here I come in 2 weeks they launch F2P , btw they are alot more friendly with there BANK slots and INV that you all are. What a pathetic amount of bank space you give us for FREE loloolool, Its gotta be the lowest amount I have ever seen on any F2P MMO EVER.
Good luck playing a game ran by a skeleton crew that lost the man who made RIFt remotely popular in the first place, nothing else has worked for them to bring people in...F2P won't either.
In other words you exploited now your raging because the well ran dry.
So, is this how this forum works now? Offer any criticism and you're mocked? If you're not called a crying whiner, then you're accused of being an exploiter? Is it seriously that hard to believe that a legit player would be upset about receiving less rewards from questlines? This isn't even an intellectual form of argument, you're just putting words in his mouth. If your posts contain the phrases "fixed that for you" or "in other words", then you should delete it and try again.

I'll have to see how those zones are when I level my next character through them, before I can say anything rational about the topic.
But I will say that it ties in to one thing I've been wondering for a bit now..... Foundry has no nodes or chests. Quests run out. And there aren't many nodes in dungeons, plus you have to share them and there's no guarantee your party is even taking the time to loot them. So where are level capped players supposed to find resources for their professions? Sure, you can do projects to harvest the basic stuff (fabric, ore, hides), but what about the green/blue/purple things? Where does one go to farm those, once the quests are done?
An average pvp match takes about 15 minutes. You can do easily 3 quests in that time, if your good you can probably do about 6.
...how the heck are you doing 6 quests in 15 minutes? Certainly none of those are instanced...

Wow...I have played a lot of games and I think this is one of the worst communities I have ever see. You people are so quick to hate and be very rude. I can handle some of the games problems but you people are going to be the reason I end up quitting. The white knighting in these forums is at an all time high.

guys quit while ur ahead, this game is soooooo bad at beta, none of the classes are balanced, they're HAMSTER up with the quests/money. hell i only come on the forums to see how bad this game is doing after i quit it LMAO
This actually dissapionts me I'm pretty much mid leveled and relied on nodes for crafting materials and gems, now I don't know what to do cause now I'm forced to buy most of them off the AH cause I'm not getting as much as I use to. Cryptic should double the drop rate of gems and materials form mobs to make up for this, cause it's ridiculous

Really? Have they removed chests and skill nodes?
What kind of joke is that?
I used to roam those maps to gather mithral ore, NOT EXPLOITING ANYTHING. (Big Red Letters for the impressively high trolling population this forum has).
Now i'll have to spend AD to buy mats, which means buying zen at some point.
Not happening. If that's the route you're taking this game... i fear the worst.

No Pinky, the forums work like this; spend ten to sixteen hours a day spouting hyperbole and rage with your five other alt accounts and do everything possible to rag on a game you probably haven't played in two weeks for the lulz.
We should have more details regarding the details of these changes, and reasons for these changes very soon. Sorry that I don't have them available at this particular moment. Thanks for your patience!
You have my respect, Sir. I dont understand how you can keep your head calm, reply all nicely and with a proper tone to people, when all you get 90% of the time, is random idiots (whos most likely even bug abusing, which is why they rage) are people being rude little kids.
I for one, think you guys do a wonderful job. Keep up the good work. Also, if it's you whos often on the twitter, thanks for keeping us updated when servers are down.

That's what I siad, those who relied on nodes for mats are now officially screwed! Cryptic fix this huge mess you made cause now you're losing legitimate players.

You get back what you put out, simple.
So as long as you assume everyone is an hyperbolic alt account, you feel justified in trolling as much as possible? That doesn't seem like it leads to many meaningful discussions. I think a better idea would be to address the issues he brought up that you disagree with, and that way you can dismantle his argument without looking like someone who just enjoys insulting people anonymously on the internet. Obviously you're fine with node rewards being reduced in the low-level areas, but beyond name-calling, I haven't actually seen you explain why.
Care to?

that guy's not the dev. he's just a messanger or moderator or something. the people on this forum are raging at the dev's and content makers for making such bs content
If people want to farm in-game for a living... then I have some advice for them... how about they go invest in a couple rural acres and be a real bloody farmer instead. Oh... wait... I know... that entails having to work for a living. Lord only knows how this recent generation is all about "give meh, give meh, give meh" and all without a semblance of knowing a hard day's work.

You know that "farm" means to try to obtain some in-game resource by doing something that may be repetitive, non-instant, and therefore require "work", right?

I also do not agree with him putting words in people's mouth.
Criticism in my own humble opinion should be backed with solution/suggestions or better yet verifiable detailed solution/suggestion. Any "criticism" lacking that, compounded with threats, insults or statements such as "I will leave this game" are to me whining.

There seems to be this underlying idea that paying money for the convenience of skipping content is the only respectable way of playing the game. In actuality, farming is the exact opposite of "give meh, give meh, give meh"; though I think the "farming" options in this game are barely existent. I am more than willing to sit around doing repetitive tasks for the opportunity to earn fictitious digital items; why won't you let me? ;_;

Criticism is his right as a consumer. IF he has suggestions that's great but ultimately resolution to complaints and criticism is that of the company providing the product and /or service. Sometimes a simple acknowledgement that they are aware of the concern goes a long ways. Far to often anymore the general community in MMO's seem to act like there is no accountability on the part of the game producer.
It would help a LOT if they would simply have someone more actively monitor the forums and respond to questions and concerns.

It helps to read everything. Criticism without proper feedback is not criticism, it's whining. Whining is not a right of a consumer, it's a personal preference. Companies/developers in general do not take criticism without feedback, any more seriously then one takes whining seriously, because it is a waste of time and effort. Companies/developers want feedback, and when I say feedback, I meant criticism with suggestions or detail analysis of a problem coupled with solutions.
Observe how the reponses to threads by admins/mods are mostly threads with proper feedback??

Well im not taking OP's word yet for the change beign so drastic, but i hope they wont do the D3 level drastic stuff. I mean they killed that games whole urn / chest etc breaking, while at begin it was fun to find stuff from whatever, soon it turned to just skip everything but elites & bosses. Reason was bots would farm that kinda stuff or players would commit huge amounts of time to just breaking urns etc in certain areas. Overall it never really sting the bots as they over time got better and simply farmed gold by killing monsters endlesly.
But i do agree the old level of chest & stuff that open with kits needed some tuning down, as with epic mount i could quite fast look around for those if wanted.
lmao yall are making me laugh first off they rolled us back because they wanted the economy fixed so their cash shop wouldnt get hurt then some dumb idiot decides to blow up the auction house with some enchants he got during a chest exploit he was doing probably on his alt just to make a point to cryptic now cryptic fights back by removing said treasure boxes can yall say there goes the prices droping in the economy i bet they are already starting to rise and im also betting their cash flow from the cash shop is starting to build up quicker now to so they fixed the problem good i dont know about yall but having fewer chests and nodes in zones and instances isnt gonna hurt most boss drops are what i go into dungeons for and when i wanna go farm for gold drops i just pick a zone and go kill stuff as for resource nodes for crafting the crafting in nw sucks anyway takes too long and is just a royal pain anyways lmao have fun whining guys just play and get over it
theres really nothing hard about it other then hurry up and wait lmao get off the forums and go farm monsters you know pull your sword out and kill stuff it isnt harder at its still the same get over it
