I know there is gear you get from a vendor that is called PvP gear. I would like it if there was some more PvP gear which was better than the PvE gear for PvP due to having PvP specific stats. I am not really certain the best way to make this happen, or if indeed cryptic are secretly organizing it behind our backs. But I would like to see it. I prefer the feeling of the lower level brackets where the time to kill is longer than at 60. PvP gear please !~~~

There is the PvP gear you can get with glory, and if Gauntlygrim is any indication, there will be more from there. Not sure if any beta testers know what it's all about, but those coins might be able to be used to get better gear, or possibly either PvE or PvP, since the zone seems to have both.

Who knows though, game isn't a month old, time to grow yet and get more.

Please don't. Different sets of gear for PvE and PvP are a royal pain, and would only add to the inventory problem.

Inventory problem? It's not hard to get 400k AD for a 24 slot bag.

Agree with most others, no need for extra stats. And I really like the feeling of lethal attacks at level 60 PvP, skillful movement can really make the difference there. (With the exception of CW attacks, but life is...)

What do you mean by kill? By the way resilience is now base and no longer on gear now.

The pvp gear in this has max hit points on it though.

Blizzard PVP gear has PVP resilience and PVP power.. Blizzard pretty much ruined open world PVP by forcing players to farm and quest in PVP gear, unless you preferred a PVE server which I did not.

I like world PVP (although this game has none) the point is.. why not let skill guide the path to victory between players instead of fanatical stats farming?

While I do not think introducing PvP only stats is a good idea, having PvP gear that is on par with PvE gear stat for stat would be good. That way people can play the game how they want to without worrying about having to play a part of the game they don't like. For example, I really don't like PvE but to get the best gear for PvP I am going to have to do it.

Except getting glory is infinitely more easy than completing T2s. That's not to say T2s are hard, cause they're not. However, you can get glory for AFK'ing, and not winning. That means gear is a guaranteed, no matter how you perform, it's just a matter of time. With dungeons you can't "not win" and still get the gear. You can't afk and gain currency. You HAVE to finish a dungeon to get the gear you want. If glory awarded equal gear then there would be no need to do dungeons.

Comments about T2s coming from someone who was caught red-handed exploiting a GF set 4-piece bug? Now that's kinda rich, even if it's beside the point.
That said, until PW decides to introduce some awful way to get PvE gear without any effort (I'm thinking T2/CN gear available in exchange for "badges of <something>", farmable via Dungeon Delve chest) PvP gear should remain what it is - entry level.

I agree that something needs to be done - right now every encounter in PVP is basically which team has the most dailies available? Great I just 1 shotted someone, then killed another person with my string of encounter powers, oh HAMSTER I just got one shot.

That's amusing, but not fun long term. Fights don't last long enough because our dps is too high across the board (in terms of pvp longevity).

Resilience is now baseline and not on gear and in vanilla it was still the same. You just had to raid instead.

The only game for you is Guildwars then because that's the only game with no gear difference.

    sorry GW sucks

plus you're wrong... unless they patched resilience out in the last month or so.. Resilience is not baseline.. w/e that is supposed to mean.. like stamina?

Unless they changed things again, with MoP they gave characters a base of 40% damage mitigation from player attacks and the resilience on gear stacks onto that base

Technically they already give pvp based stats.

Armor Pen and more Health. They both are somewhat better for pvp than pve.

Firstly I dont see how resilience killed wow pvp ... wow pvp was total HAMSTER for raiders only at max level before resilience ..... Also have you tried fighting at max level in pvp ? the time to kill is VERY fast

The whole point of pvp gear is that you dont have to farm stats... you just get your pvp set and its all done.

This is why I want pvp gear with pvp stats on it. It has no use for pve players .... if you dont want to do dungeons you should not NEED to. Thats is a fair amount of my point.

Technically we dont have a pvp stat. Your definition of pvp stat is broken if you think otherwise. The time taken to end someones life in pvp is too short, those stats do nothing to address that.

Yes, buts thats NOT cause of gears, its cause of CLASSE IMBA.

TR and CW are roflm damage dealers and Clerics are HAMSTER super healers, i have a conqueror GF and i can barely scratch a cleric inside the blue circle of immortality, while CW and TR still instagib then.

The class balance is just SO, BUT SOOOOOOOOOOOO BROKEN IT ISNT EVEN FUN.

And before envy come to talk, he thinks everything is fine cause have super upper duper gear and outgear everyone severely, my build make like 20% less damage while having far more resilience and still i cant scratch clerics with worse gear inside the blue circle of immortality.

Fix the balance (nerf stupid lol immortality circles, nerf TR and CW damage) and its fixed. Or if the noobs think that they will not be able to play PvE anymore just give super lol damage to the fighters too, at least enough to outdamage the imblue circle.

Ok firstly .. that circle ... you are supposed to punt them out of it. The damage done by the damage dealing classes is too high because there is no mitigation against it. If you nerfed their damage I am pretty sure all of the pve players would be after your blood... I personally dont care about pve balance but I understand others do. I dont feel we should break PvE just so that the minority who want to PvP can. Gear with extra mitigation which only works against players would go a long way to making people take longer to kill. That 20 second CD strike the rogue has wouldnt seem very scary if it did not take away half of your HP. Yes of course Envy thinks things are fine. He is probably one of the geared GF's in the game, and for now at least he can rest assured that no one else can catch him since GF's dont get to do PvE anymore. So he can instagib almost anyone while not being so easy to kill. (watched some of your video's envy, any while they are funny I did not feel that it really made level 60 pvp look fun and balanced. I am actually in a guild full of people who only pvp and most of us hit 60 yesterday, did a few bgs (which we won very easily despite having just dinged). The result is unanimous though... we all thought that the time to kill was too short. That and we all dont want to grind PvE like Envy did.

Love it... "Don't ruin the PvP in NWO". Because it's not ruined atm, right? Let me tell you the story of how "hard" it is to play my rogue. Stealth - lashing 10k, execution 35k. Go away, poke with autoattack someone - lashing blade, 37k execution. Then a CW comes and 25k hits me with something. Then i go back and one shot him. Then he comes back and one shots me. Then i go back and one shot him. Ad infinitum.

The PvP as it is right now is a complete joke - one-shot faceroll fest (unless you meet a cleric in which case you just mount and go away unless he's stupid enough to lose some of his health and... you one shot him). The PvP gear is pretty much useless and obviously extremely limited - 6 pve sets vs 1 pvp set... right, that's not even funny.

So unless 2-3 more PvP set options are introduced and some significant dmg reduction in PvP - it's already dead, i don't get it how can you "ruin" it more, it's a total faceroll joke as it is right now. There's also no incentive to play PvP at all - it takes 1 day of AFK-ing and even if you lose every single game, you'll end up with full set. Alright... maybe two days if you're that lazy. My alt is lvl 10 and a full PvP set already awaits her when she hits 60... I mean i've seen bad PvP systems in other MMOs, a lot of them, but i've never seen such joke as what it currently is the so called "PvP" in NWO.

ROFLing from you... I am sure you are a random **** that can't win single fight without 2 class better gear. So called pay to winner... Maybe you are just still little kid that like to oneshot noobs, BUT - GW1/2 has the best PVP in MMO market because... you know... people are equal and its actually challenge to do PVP. WOW has Arenas that are (2k+ rating bracket) mainly about skill... And you said that resillience killed open world PVP in wow -> only truth you said +1, anyway I didnt notice we could do open world PVP in neverwinter??? Your posts are full of HAMSTER's... PVP in NWN definitely needs some kind of damage reduction to prolong the 60' fights... as somebody said now its only about who has his CD's ready (or is CW since they are always ready)... I would prefer all around PVP dmg reduction prior to new stat like resillience.

GW "sucks" because there is no gear difference. We are talking about mmos after all. I want shooters, rts, mobas, and so on to be 100% about skill. Mmos are about char progression, itemization is important.

That said, gw2 would rock if it weren't for the lackluster itemization.

Just need to make the skills to work with 50% less dmg as soon as you enter in PvP battleground. Because as it is now it's just ridiculous. Even 50% less dmg will still allow one hitting ppl.
