    Sad day indeed.

Nothing short of a complete wipe will fix the economy.

well i had thought of the only other way to reset the economy, but i thought it too unreasonable so i was championing shard wipes. the only other way i can think of is to reset all AD to 0, and clean out the AH... that's right every char for every account would now have 0 AD... that's the only other way to fix the economy. As it will never happen, i'm done with this game...

the reasons are that i'm depressed that i never accepted any of the free stuff i was offered (and would be allowed to keep cause of no wipe) and that when i noticed the wild fluctuations in the zen market last night i didn't have the foresight to play currency trader and make boat loads of zen and AD through currency manipulation (which i also would be able to keep because of no exploit involved and no wipes)

    begin flaming.

Welp that pretty much settles it for me then getting my founder's pack refunded and closing my account.

While i enjoyed the game this pretty much proves everything I've come to expect from anything PWI touches.

They should do a complete component rollback, not touching characters, or items acquired through actually playing the game. That way the people who had no incling of what was happening (like me) and leveled up from 32-40 today don't have to repeat that action.

I'm courious to see AH prices after their work is done, I hope they realize how many people beg in enclave for free items from exploits and how this another exploit really shaked the economy.

Bye bye, just a FYI asking for your money back when you received the goods you paid for can be considered fraud and if your in the US you will not get anything back, just a banned account for trying. Since you are leaving I should see no more posts from you.

And to you guys saying you'll quit because of no wipe, Good. We don't need you. You know nothing of economics. All that will happen is the destabilization of the currency, then there will be equilibrium. If they destroy the accounts with ridiculous sums of AD then there will be no real repercussions. What you would see would be a drop in the water compared to if they had not intervened.

You have no real argument, honestly.

Look at all of that false information. You would not be banned for asking for refund. Asking for a refund is not fraud. If he is refunded, the founder's pack is given back. GW2 did that when people asked for refunds, this would be no different.

How can an request on refund be a fraud just explain me your logic? Please I want to laugh a bit :D

If the customer make an refund it either means your service is really bad or your product is really bad :) Companies should work in such manner that people would want to spend more instead of refunding stuff their bought or paid for. You better start realize this or you get $##$% every corner -.-

give me a new shard to play on, i don't want to play in the corrupt abortion of an economy that will exist.

They are merging all servers in the future, that has been their plan.

So you're saying that in RL if someone had billions of dollars of counterfeit money, that taking him out of the economy wouldn't change anything? His billions wouldn't be able to influence the economy? Yes eventually all markets reach equilibrium, but removing counterfeit money can ensure that the rest of the money maintains its value. As of now, there is so much AD that prices are rapidly dropping.

I say there WILL be wipes... Why? Because I merely want to disagree with you because it amuses me when people are annoyed.
^This is merely a joke any offense was not meant to be
^ I like clarifying things because I have a neutral presence
^ < These are meant to be funny for my entertainment
^ I do not care if you don't think this is funny its meant for my amusement
^ If you do find it amusing with a smile on your face... I've done my job right...

Of course it wouldn't. It's counterfeit money, that money was not in circulation. It never influenced them in the first place. it was nothing besides monopoly money.

The argument i used is if they ban the players who have ridiculous sums of cash they should be fine. There is no real response to my argument here.

That is also just buyer/seller confidence. people think their money is worth less, they buy things at an elevated price in order to make sure it's worth it.

Without a wipe the economy and the AD/Zen conversion rate are going to be broken. Then you will be forced to spend much more money to get that "unecessary and cool" stuff like inventory bags and profession assets, because the normal AD farming only gives you 24k a day, and you are going to spend 2 months of grind to get a simple inventory bag.

Hmmm while I didn't want a wipe, I'd prefer one to a 2 day rollback, mainly cause I leveled from 35-60 in that time period and I'd rather see everyone else suffer the leveling if I have to. (I know I'm a HAMSTER, but I really hate mount hotenow)

They don't need to wipe... a rollback to when the problem started would bring the economy back into line.

Now, we only can hope you are right. The problem is, this bug is known from the closed beta time.

Except you have it backward, the more ad ingame the more you get for zen. Less ad ingame less ad for zen.
Same for a post above when it comes to items, more ad ingame do not lower item prices it increase em. What lower ingame items is overflow and lack of AD

I'm doing the same, if they can't handle this properly, and apparently they didn't fix this in another of their games, they aren't worthy of getting jack shmitt from me, and what I already gave them I want back as a sign they failed, and failed HARD

Wow, you are one of the most misinformed human beings, where in your world is that considered fraud??? He's asking for a refund for a product that is not measuring to his expectations? Why would anyone ban someone for asking for their money back... It's quite obvious you are a little child with no real knowledge of the real world. Here's a tip for ya, grow up a few decades before posting something that grownup's would be talking about dear.

The Devs need to Wipe the Servers.... it is only logical and it is beta.... these exploits should have been found in Closed Beta, which means Closed Beta was a total Failure... /faceplam

now the game is and will always be corrupted since they will not wipe the game database.... another game would have just wiped the Servers to make absolutely sure nothing got though the cracks....

This is why a wipe is needed....if there isn't a wipe their will be people that have got away with this exploit and the exploit has damaged the economy in one way or another. It's beta so no better time to do this.

When was that? The problem is that while the issue only became recently known it has allegedly existed since the closed beta. This is also not the first exploit to roll down the hill.

The solution, in my opinion, is to continue this "open beta" as an open beta. Work out all the major kinks then when ready prepare for a transition to live:

    1. Full wipe of all characters.
    2. Real money purchases made during the beta would transfer AND confer extra bonuses when the game goes live (i.e. 25% bonus on zen purchased in beta etc.). This would give an incentive to get in on the ground floor with purchases during beta without being afraid that the in game economy is so borked that spending money on the game is pointless.
    3. Aggressively IP ban users engaged in exploiting. Account banning is clearly NOT enough in a ftp model.

From a new players perspective, these exploits being present for what is, for all intents and purposes, a live patch guarantees that I would never spend real money on this game.

    One Word.
    "Beta"

Get over it guys. Probably will be wiped out once the beta is done with regardless. Chill out and enjoy the game.

There will be a rollback though, that is basically confirmed on Twitter. How much we dunno.

There's going to be NO ROLLBACK... They are most likely deleting the astral diamond system...

And losing half their players who dont trust the company who promised no wipes and invested their time is a great idea for a game in beta? who is going to want to start playing this game with a terrible community number? wipe the servers lose the game
