Wait...what? How someone plays the game makes it less fun for you? HOW?!?!

In numerous interviews I read Cryptic said that you could level all the way to 60 just from the Foundry if you wanted. Let people play the game how they want. I don't see how this is "ruining the fun". Whose fun?

    NO !!!!
I don't want slackers on my maps . let them play as they want . I like walking around looking at everything , and love finding the open world loot chest . More donkeys on my maps and less chance of me finding loot chests and nodes. And I like WINNING the zone events , too .

You still didn't elaborate on how this is "ruining the fun out of the game".

Aren't these Foundry Quests approved by cryptic? If they deem them ok to play, what's the problem?

He is right, it's talked about on other forums now. People are using foundry and hitting 60 in hours exploiting.
In the end this always kills games

    I doubt it's the company's goal to hit 60 in a day .. It's happening now!

Am I the only one that did this and is also leveling a character through also?
Lets be honest here, there isn't really that many different ways to level. Once I go through all these quests once I'm not doing them all again. What would be the point in that?

I'm currently loving the endgame. You know what I DON'T, love?
I don't like all the people who have gotten to 60 without foundry and because they are lore nerds or whatever else (not against this or trying to be offensive here) they are mechanically, BAD, at the game.
I grinded foundry to 60 from 4 on a CW. I consistently do the most damage and take the least I've lost count of how many times my CC has saved Clerics from bad Tanks.
So tell me.. How do I ruin your experience when (for the most part) I'm better than you at understanding and executing the mechanics of the game?
The only other ways me being 60 could result in someone being upset is jealousy or some twisted sense of entitlement (I paid $200 I should be better than you).

Either way. This topic of foundry content bores me. As do quests. If I hadn't done this you can be dam sure I would have quit the game before 60 due to being essentially FORCED to quest.

EDIT: I was talking about a dam.. They are sure and steady? Apparently your forum doesn't understand that phrase.

How other people play doesn't effect my game play in the least, as long as they aren't greifing, being rude or cheating me or my friends.

Also shoving you're ethical standards on someone else is wrong.if there is an actual exploit it is up for Cryptic to deal with it or not as they see fit.

So much for Cryptic policing the foundry. This type of situation was specifically mentioned as something they wouldn't tolerate. Have you reported it? I'll play it tonight and vote it down.

I dont see a problem leveling in the foundry.

I do see a problem with specific foundry missions designed to exploit the game, and earn a bazillion exp in a short time span.

THAT said.... this happend in coh/v to and was no stopping it so get use to it is all i can say.

When you Power level through the Foundry Exploit you do not learn how to play your class. When you reach 60 and join a party for a dungeon or skirmish you hinder your group by not knowing what you are doing. This is how it affects other players. but it is something you are going to have to deal with because it will always happen. even people who quest wont know how to use their class.

Go ahead and use the foundry to level if you want, there are many good quest out there ( i even use it to get a level before i go to the next zone i if need to), but at least learn your class as you are doing it.

What can ruin a fun for one is that he feels cheated. In the mmorpg games goal is to obtain things most of other people dont have. And if some folks abuse some exploits they are destroying the whole "race" - its no longer a challenge with same rules for everyone. It doesnt differ much from using a 3rd party program with button "add 10.000xp". In a game where people are using such 3rd party program you can still try to not see it and not influence your game, but its silly. You are simply disconnecting yourself from a mmorpg and playing single player rpg which is just much worse than any other dedicated game for single player.

Guys nothing wrong with foundry lvling, it's those that exploit doing so to take advantage of certain things that make u lvl to 60 in no time!

No, the foundry needs to have rewards as it does. Its a pain to watch those who are abusing it, but just ignore them and play some of the high quality questlines.

Some of them are over an hour and have massive story.

Except it's nothing like that. The people who powerlevel through the foundry are still playing the game, they still understand how abilities work, understand game mechanics, etc. What you're describing would be a P2W system that gives players an advantage over others.

I think if your using the foundry as Intended then so be it. But I've been on other boards where people are bragging about how they hit 60 in a day... That's stupid

I just have a feeling these are the people i've been grouping with lately in epic dungeons, who have no clue how to play in a group. They use the skills that scatter the mobs away from everyone, try to gather up a whole room by themselves, don't have a clue about how bosses spawn adds that need to be taken care of before you burn the boss too much, etc. Personally i don't care if people grind foundry to hit 60, it's their loss really, the quests are fun, you get bags, learn how to play, get good crafting mats, make good gold, get a companion, and more. I also have a feeling these are the people flooding chat with stupid questions about where things are, when you get quests that tell you exactly where those things are.

They are not leveling on foundry XP, you silly people. They are leveling on enemy grinding. At least get the right.

I'm just amazed at the amount of butthurt over how other people play.

Foundry is designed so people can actually create a whole campaign, from 1-60 if they wanted, for people to play through without being stuck playing the same game over and over. If they are exploiting it has no bearing on you in anyway so who cares? You can just play a different campaign, think of it as more PnP and not new gen MMO. Hitting 60 means nothing in this game!

I think the real solution is to actually test dungeons before approving. Nerfing XP from foundry or XP from those particular mobs punishes everyone for no good reason.
Also ban people making this content IF, as someone from Cryptic said, it is NOT abiding by their rules.

Yeah, I don't get how other peoples idea of fun is encroaching on my experience. If I group with someone who PL'd and doesn't know how to play their class; then I don't group with them next time. I also won't play in farming quests. Not fun grinding exp/loot.
