The Damage Meter DEFINITELY didn't ruin the game, nor did it ruin WoW lol. I'll tell you the real problem...Dungeons are WAY too easy. Increase the difficulty to where you actually need a Tank and Healer so you can't just zerg everything and then you'll see people playing like a group.

NWO could do with a combat revamp starting with some kind of click to target...and lose the bloody auto aim/lock on HAMSTER.
All dps does now is aim in the direction of a swarm of mobs and spam away.
Little need for CC, not that it holds an enemy longer than 3 seconds or whatever it is.
Dumbed down mechanics for dumbed down player audience.
Yes /ignore will keep them form queuing with you, I totally understand where you're coming from people miss so many things in Dungeons. I was talking to one last night who told me "I have already ran this dungeon fifty times", that isn't the rest of the groups Problem, especially new players who is running the dungeon for the first time.
I have stopped doing pugs because of it and soon a lot of other people will as well. There is one solution that will work I think, make traps deadly and random in all dungeons with a greatly reduced chance of someone who is using a Thieves kit to see. That will slow them down and might even make the content last a bit longer due to the replayability.
I finally put someone on ignore tonight cause it kept que-ing me with this idiot. Rushing ahead and then whining "oh there's no tank, heal me"... Let me tell you what, my golem tanks 1000000000000000000times better than a GWF, especially that one who never heard of a pot and always 2 rooms ahead. The extra chest in Clock Tower gives me 12 seals and a purple item, that's better than the whole silly dungeon which only drops for melees it appears blah. And he just rush rush rush to skip that chest and everything.
4 parties with him, I think he died at least once in each and that last one he died like 5+ times. And I didn't feel any guilt whatsoever, hyper little HAMSTER that he was! If I have no tank and I want a tank, I'd rather tank (hate it) or keep my golem on boss and alive.
Finally snapped and put him on ignore. I am happy to hear that means I don't get que-ed with him.
Barbarians annoyed me in DDO, I guess GWF are going to be my most hated class in this game.
Felt sorry for the GFs when we did have one... they probably all put him on ignore. And always a person dropped due to his impatience in every group, can't blame them really.
