    Couldn't you map a joystick with JoytoKey?

    Personally I can't play because I can not stand the TPS style of gameplay. Not every game is for everyone so /shrug

    JoytoKey is a horrible controller mapper in my opinion but I could, yes. I could aslo buy the x-padder software but if enough of us gripe I won't have to as they will, if they are wise, reinstate the support that was in beta for a while.

    Um. there are several new PC mmos that have controller support.

    The only games that K/M setups have advantages over controllers are pretty much first person shooters. This is not one

    We are typing and reading not speaking.

    yo're right this is not an fps, it's a tps - third person shooter. the game has no lock-on targeting like you find in standard mmorpg's. it's action based with active targeting just like defiance. defiance has controller support, but playing with a controller on pc puts you at significant disadvantages and requires you to use the built-in target lock feature - a feature this game does NOT have.

    I'm using xpadder until they get support in. Wasn't that bad setting up. Controls like Tera with the 360 controller so not bad at all if you are use to using a controller and have played Tera.

    Just don't want to have to pay for x-padder when controller support should have been kept in. It was in beta for a short time and should definitely have been re-implemented for launch.

    I have xpadder for free where you getting yours?

    I played through the second main quest with a keyboard/mouse: sore wrists and annoying game-play but thanks for the courteous post.

    If you get sore wrists after ~30 minutes of game play you should probably see a doctor.

    Wait a minute...people pay for x-padder. I thought it was free. News to me since i have been using it for the past year and i downloaded directly from X-Padders site. Oh and it's still listed as free on their site at this time.

    Are we sure he is playing the same game as us? I can only think of one time I get sore wrists on the computer and it sure isn't playing this game.

    Several MMO's does not equate to all MMO's since there are a HAMSTER ton that have and never will support it, saying that it should be standard to all MMO's is HAMSTER and insulting to 20 years of PC gaming, not just FPS games but RPG and MMO's benefit from K+M.

    The MMO's you've listed as examples are action MMO's that were designed from the start with controller in mind hell DCUO is on a console.

    If this game had controller support at one point then unless they've stated it will never return then you should quit moaning and just wait, maybe they had some problems and had to remove it temporally.

    It is free, the OP is either a troll or under the age of 13. It's already been confirmed that he doesn't know what google is, so don't feed into his BS.

    i use both a G13 and G600 with every game i play. the game does not have to have specific support for it. bind your keys to whatever buttons you like and have at it!

    i have no problem with yo preferring a controller. YOU are the one saying it has to be your way or not at all and you did it from the very first post in this thread. my point has and always been that - as a fact - you will target and respond slower with a controller. this is true even on dcuo.

    the control issues are on your end with your insistence that mmo's must have controller support.

    It is called feedback. And if enough people bring its importance to their attention it will likely get reimplemented sooner.

    My manners are quite reciprocal i.e. I reflect back what is focused at me. With that stated your post is quite "ill-mannered" in and of itself not to mention nonsensical: especially and ill mannered what? and ill-mannered whining? an ill-mannered issue?

    There is a difference between constructive feedback and whining/trying to get attention.

    Your post is clearly the latter (One less paying customer until you do exactly what I want!)

    It's coming back as soon as they can implement it without crashing the game, which is why is was removed. There are a lot higher priority issues right now (Like the fact that the game has ~1500 ms ping).

    Leave your constructive feedback, and move on.

    Give me a source that shows they are different. Afaik they both mean the same thing, and I quoted it for you, from google. But I don't allow myself to argue with trolls or children, so until you show me a source that says they mean two different things, I will ignore you. Go back to school, kiddo.

    It has nothing at all to do with attention. I am letting them know that they will be losing revenue until reimplementation.

    You simply are reacting on an emotional level.

    If controller support is crashing their game then they need to take a long look at their programming team.

    Perhaps you should take your own advice on leaving constructive criticism and moving on. I am sure you do not want to be perceived as a hypocrite now do you?:D

    I think if you gave the thread a less negative look (Why was pad control removed?Can you put it back in?), you would have got a lot more positive replies. I am all for having it back, but I don't know if they took it out because it was buggy or whatever. You sounded just like a rant and I know this thread wasn't at all one.

    It is ok for you to be mistaken. You are only human. Pretending that you are not and acting juvenile because you cannot accept your errors is another thing entirely. You read several sources whilst googling you simply chose to ignore them. I sincerely hope that you stating that you will now ignore me was not an idle threat and that you will indeed follow through on it as this line of discussion is not at all germane to the topic of the thread.:D

    edit: I also use Xpadder, it's making this game wonderfully playable for me. I have had to stop playing GW2, EQ2 and any game that I can't comfortably map xpadder to. I was very happy to find that in Neverwinter the transition to a gamepad is very near flawless.

    It is ok for you to be mistaken. You are only human. Pretending that you are not and acting juvenile because you cannot accept your errors is another thing entirely. You read several sources whilst googling you simply chose to ignore them. I sincerely hope that you stating that you will now ignore me was not an idle threat and that you will indeed follow through on it as this line of discussion is not at all germane to the topic of the thread.:D

    Yes, please let's not turn this thread in a "I want pad" vs "I don't want pad" discussion. There is no reason NOT to want it as an option (especially if they had it in beta). WHEN and IF it works. Chill out people

    Feedback is not always positive and It was indeed my intention to highlight the negatives of not keeping controller support in the game. Text has no sound inherently and some people simply have issues with anyone criticizing something they are emotional concerning. It does not really concern me that some people are hyper-sensitive about the issue as long as it is brought to the attention of the companies decision makers.
