I can get past the white screen by locating the Game Client exe and then i get to the second log in screen but it will not load the account servers now gerrr....

I know right! Waiting for the launcher to get sorted is a cakewalk to watching a bloody counter. It's like madness. Every second ticking and tocking away. Wow, the STO Launcher has also crashed in exactly the same way...just tried to log in there for a bit...but same issues there too.

Hopefully it gets fixed sometime today, I wouldn't mind playing for an hour or so as I'm sure many people would like to do as well. I sort of planned my day around the game, but them's the breaks of a new MMO launch I suppose.
The massively increased traffic load has probably crashed their account server, much like a denial of service attack would.

Just got home and sat down with my coffee, ready for the open beta.. tried to launch and well I guess I kinda expected it, I was just saying to a friend on the way home that I've been waiting forever for this beta and today is the launch, I bet the server is overloaded when I get home!
Anyway, waited all this time another few hours or a day won't hurt. At least that's what I'm telling myself :x
