How can you call a class a GREAT WEAPON FIGHTER then give them the lowest DPS in game?

This makes me laugh so much. I dominate damage in dungeons. I destroy things. I will be streaming "Epic Dungeons" on my 60 GWF here in a minute. Twitch.tv/saviorms. Enjoy

Keep in mind that GWF damage is pretty awful at lower levels, which is the perspective most people are posting from. No need to be a HAMSTER.

GWF scales pretty darn well with level.
Just play a day or two and reach level 60.

I know that it sucks to no longer get gear to sell from the Dungeon Delve chest but it was truly overpowered.

If someone is posting about overall class balance from the perspective of low level, they need to STFU.

As its been said, first impressions of a class are important, tweaking the rate of scaling ruins nothing.

    The above statement is true.

The below statement is also true.

If someone is posting about overall class balance from the perspective of low level, they need to STFU.

Neither statement is mutually exclusive of one another.

    In short, STFU.

That won't help. Many are posting that DPS is still horrid and about 1/2 of TR and even CW DPS engame currently. I dont think dummies like Saviorgun realize there were massive nerfs to GWF after BW3.

Oh FFS, Saviorgun posted a link to his stream with a video from LAST NIGHT (aka after BW3 you idiot) playing his level 60 GWF in elite dungeons where he is consistently coming in 1st place in damage against a TR and a CW who both appear to be very competent and comparatively geared players.

GWF is a late bloomer for sure. Im just hit 37 on mine and in the last 2-3 levels ive started to notice a big change in his dps and his AoE in general.

Granted a well geared TR will beat our overall damage. Once the TR in my guild got 2 decent weapons she was beating me by slightly. Only about 10-20% total. We shine on huge add fights. Just got an epic weapon finally so I will do even better.

    No way.

Yes it's behind TR single target damage, but it's AHEAD of CW AoE damage at 60. At least from everything that I have seen so far, and I pug dungeons a lot.

Not sure about PvP, but PvE at 60 GWF is pretty **** potent.

Go Orc for the extra lulz.

Yeah, in a group with guildies, to prove a point ? Did you think it was funny that the rogue was throwing a lot of daggers ? Its like he was the only one specced for AoE, so ofc hes going to hurt the most, lots of fluff damage. Hell if a cleric wasnt specced for healing, he could do tons of fluff aoe damage too.

Also if the scaling is terrible, that is a problem with GWF's damage dumbass, and since the game just came out ITS NOT GOING TO BE BALANCED...EVER... not once in history has this happened, and yet every time people just dont get it.. Changes are going to happen, constantly, for years. Just like every mmo ever made has shown us.

Um, since we are posting opinions on how much DPS a GWF should do I'm going to post my opinion on them. All these people posting that they are loosing the DPS race on a GWF need to learn to play. Perhaps the GWF I run with has learned the secret code to GWF DPS (up, down, up, down, a, b, a, b, select, start) . Or perhaps we have only ever grouped with crapy CW's and TR's (possible but highly unlikely) however he is always first or second in DPS (when he's second the difference is so small it doesn't matter), number one in kills, number one in damage taken, and number two in heals (always after me). This has been the case in all levels of the game. I argue the GWF is to good at everything right now and needs to be nerfed. To those that think the TR is OP from my perspective TR's are trash. They don't kill real mobs fast enough (quit crying about solo content, if you can't solo this game you fail at life). In my opinion the best group set up right now is a GF, GWF, Cleric, and two CW's. In my opinion TR's (the only pure DPS in the game) does not do enough DPS to warrant a spot. This is just my two cents on the subject.

If your GWF is taking the most damage, your GF isnt doing his job, if your GWF has high heals, its because hes drinking potions, not because GWF's have amazing self heals. Their at-wills cleave, so against large groups their damage is good, but that only helps in certain situations, not in pvp or boss fights. GWF should be viable for tank, single target dmg or aoe dps, they clearly have skills and feats that TRY to do this, but dont. Just as the GF is viable as tank, CC, and warlord hybrid (can do dmg, and battlecries for buffing/debuffing)

Not constructive, go away. New games are going to have balance issues, its a fact. A lot of it comes down to numbers and mechanics and how easy/difficulty they are to execute and what the payoff is. The other problem is the diversity that classes get, being limited to a single job makes the customization pretty lame. Everyone calls the TR a striker but hes got **** good CC at the same time, not to mention stealth which you cant even begin to put a value on.

Might surprise a few people but some players only play an hour or two every now and then. Try telling them that they need to wait for level 40+ to enjoy their classes. In some other games i have played some of my friends were still mid level 1 year after launch because they would spend half their time in-game organizing rolepaying or other community events.

Every class should be fun to play from the early start.

Judge all you want, go do Grey Wolf Den on epic and tell me that "the group I was in was not doing good dps". Good luck with that. They would probably out dps everyone you know. Sorry you can not spec/play GWF as a dps properly but do not sit here and talk **** about my party/guild. Tier2 here we come while you farm cragmire and cloak tower for weeks.

Then you can leave since you clearly think you'll do fine no matter what happens, if you honestly felt it was true what you say then you have no place here, the rest of us will look at the reality of MMO launches in general unless you can name a MMO that never patched anything because it was balanced from the start. We dont even have all the prestige classes, could very well be that the real damage potential of the GWF is waiting there, still hoping for Axemaster. Also try to leave your ego outside since it clearly wont fit through the door, the games new, dont act like an elitist master at it because you know how a cleave mechanic works.

All I am saying there big guy... is they do not need nerfs... THEY ARE NOT STRIKERS. And I can still do great damage. Maybe people should get out of blacklake before they say we need buffs. Do you want to wear plate, have good hp, amazing aoe, and top single target dps? What more do you... us to fly and drop AD out out HAMSTER? We do not need to be amazing aoe tanks and top dps... stop trying to make us sound useless. You are making the class seem gimp.

As far as my ego.. I am who I am, do not like me then do not read my post.

Someone said GWF's need nerfs? O.o They're listed as Primary Damage dealers in the wiki, secondary defenders. All im saying is given the paragon/prestige options, they should have the ability to become strikers, thats not the same as demanding they get LightSabers, I didnt like GWF for its damage, i liked the mobility, both in sprinting (even if its not a true dodge) and maneuver skills. They have a 2H weapon and Heavy Armor, should be able to spec with more certainty into single DPS, AoE dps, or general tankiness. Heck if a pure offense GWF had the same DPS as a rogue, he still lacks the CC to capitalize on it. Would still be a completely different playstyle, but maybe we're just waiting on Barbarian for true 2h weapon damage. (unless they're dual wielders, then ******.)
