So Im thinking about the Hero of the North founder pack, but Im a little worried to spend 200 bucks on something I havent even tried. So should I just wait a few days and play on the 30th?

Whatever you are most comfortable with is the most important. The 30th is only 5 days away, so if a purchase makes you nervous it would be more logical to wait. They have a lot of good stuff in the z-store as well once you get in.

So how do we get into the Open Beta? If we are registered here will we automatically recieve an email on the 30th with the Open Beta Key?

When the game is officially released, does it still cost money? Like buying a new game?

How will the game be downloaded? Though a PerfectWorld installer or will this be on Steam?

The 30th you should just be able to login! I think atleast its like that and the game is totally free 2 play also the game has a PW Installer =) Hope that is correct and you are satisfied with the answers!

borntotank, I think you get it right, but as you may have noticed, general access to beta NWN is starting from April 30 :) that's why you aren't able to log, we all must wait until then (in case, ofc you didn't buy any of the packs)

Ahh $200 well spent so far. Nice long weekend and so far servers seem to be pretty smooth. I am afraid when open beta kicks in full force though.

Please clarify for me the launch date?
Is the 30th April another round of Beta, with a Launch date in the future? Or is the 30th a Official launch date for the game?
    Thank you in advance
    Doc

    Thank you.
Although I still don't understand why founders have an "early access" to a open beta?
If I download the client say tuesday and roll a toon, is that my toon going forward, or will it be wiped for "launch".
Sorry if it is staring me in the face.

They promised no wipes after April 25th. The early @cc@ss is for those who buy founder or hero packs, which i don't plan (don't know about you though). So, I have to wait until 30th. "Sorry if it is staring me in the face.' xD

So for the open beta, can we download and install the game now or do we have to wait till the 30th.

spazz31, well, i thought of that too but then i decided to wait till the 30th. But I suspect that the existing client is fully operational even now (since the guys with early access can play it). But I have decent speed, so it's not a big problem to download via torrent. Your choice :D

Well my internet speed isn't so great so I decided to go ahead and get started on the download. We'll see if that works out soon enough.
