Before any of BWE I planed on a Drow TR. Been working on backstory for him since I got my HotN pack.

Ps during the last BWE saw Artemis Entreri running around. I hope they put some kind of block for that. Be original and come up with your own name.

I am still trying to decide between HOTN and Guardian. I want the horse and the dire wolf, but as my Ranger if they ever come out with an Archer will be Drow, I want to know how the Fairy Fire works and do they still get the Drow racial as well?

Basically what is the difference between the Renegade and the normal Drow that will be released? I do not care about when they are out as I will not be making one currently anyway.

    Aaaaaall the Drow.

How do you pronounce Drizzt anyway? It's a silly name. It sounds like a bad Italian stripper name. I'm reminded of Donna D'Errico every time I read it.

Anyway, I will proudly say I will be rolling a Drow Rogue. I will not be playing a Drow Rogue however, he just happens to be black skinned, white haired and prefers close combat. I neither know, nor care, what a Drow is or why they are persecuted. The beauty of D&D has always been being able to create your own world. In my world Drow are irrelevent. His background is human by way of not human, and he's not a grumpy grump dark mysterious and brooding type. If we ever get monks, he's getting rerolled.

I made a trickster rogue based on a character I played in D&D. She was half drow, but whatever.

    Mmmmmmmmm Donna D'Errico!!!!!!!

As for the Drow....you would think it was the Underdark....Sure I have one created because I had my TR already planned out. But there are a "ton" of Drizzt versions....I went running through Seven Suns and saw at least 4 of them. Just sad and made my panther cry!
"We know that the sheep live in denial; that is what makes them sheep. They do not want to believe that there is evil in the world...The sheep generally do not like the sheepdog...He has fangs and the capacity for violence. The difference, though, is that the sheepdog must not, cannot and will not ever harm the sheep...Still, the sheepdog disturbs the sheep...Until the wolf shows up. Then the entire flock tries desperately to hide behind one lonely sheepdog.

    A drizzillion drow.

And I think it's actually pronounced "drisst" like mist.

    Well, first, wellmet everyone.

Surprinsigly I just heard of this game... today... fortunately in time to catch up.

Anyway, since I have seen that the drow will be an avaible race I am wondering.

How many drows are we going to cross in the streets of Neverwinter? ;)

I mean, I know they are cool, and that Drizzt has his supporters but let's think in coherency for a second here, even if it is a little setdown for the exciting release of the open beta.

Drizzt has a LOT of problems beign a drow cast to the surface, speaking here only of the surface inhabitants. Then what do you think it should be the reaction of the Neverwinter people seeing, let's say, dozens of drows suddenly entering the city?
I can picture it.. " HELP!! RUN FOR YOUR LIVES!! DROWS!! WE ARE UNDER ATTACK!!" ;)

I mean, I understand the decision to allow them as a playable race, I will use one of my character slots to one drow of course;) but my old tabletop player soul will drop a tear everytime a drow named Rizztt Bo'Lurden enters the inn ;)

From my experiance with how thought-deficient people in online games are?

45% of the playerbase will be drow or that special drow type that you get with the founder pack.
    40% will be teifling.
    10% will be elves.
5% will be people i enjoy being around.

special note: probably all named some re purposing of Drizz't or Legolas too... >.> Sometimes i hate my fellow nerds so much...

I would think that today you would see a lot of Drow because the only people playing are also the only people that can make Drow.
I don't have any idea what percentage of players purchased the Hero packs, but I think it can't be that high. There may be a second explosion of Drow once they become available to all.

You're forgetting about e-peen. MMO players are very insecure about their e-peen. Many of them will take any small advantage they can get to make it seem larger. Seeing how Humans have the best racials for most of the classes I'm betting you'll see more Human than anything, then Drow in a close second.

I'd play drow, if I didn't have the infinitely cooler tieflings as an option. I'm hoping to eventually see some aasimar or dragonborn someday though.
    Mindflayer Shard - @direcrow
The Dire Crow - Tiefling TR
    Alice L'ddell - Human GF
    Ludovique - Tiefling DC
