Some folks brought up shipwrecks and related. I'd like to expand that to docks and accoutrements that are both in repair and disrepair. Ships and dingys (sic) that are both wrecked and unwrecked. Ideally both a wrecked and unwrecked ship interior as well.

Happy things like more flowers and banners and tables with brightly colored runners (think hobbit wedding but not hobbit sized) just super happy, we-aren't-going-to-die-due-to-rampant-undead-today type things.

A hot tub with candles.... or just a multi-person sized tub ;)

Indoor water features like fountains or other things fancy places might have illustrating the underground hot springs Neverwinter has, should be even hotter now after Hotenow right? hehe

Greenhouse style walls and roofs so you could make walls of glass or like a big greenhouse or something.

    Seconded.

I wanted to bring some irony into story by keeping things that were "sugar, spice and everything nice" before the devils come and start eating kittens...

but everything is so depressing - even flowers! Need a few vibrant features. (and no, FX don't count here)

I was just thinking about this. Is there going to be a docks district ? I'd love to be able to work with docks, sailors and pirates, ships exteriors and interiors, perhaps a map with moving ships engaged in a battle, with activable canons, sinking ship exteriors and interiors, along with sea creatures like giant octopuss, sharks, mermaids and sea-elves, and treasures islands with jungles and diggable chests, with maps where X marks the spot and so on... Make it sort of a pirate pack or treasure hunt pack. I would LOVE that !

I expect at some point we will have a true dock/pier/sea port set of assets, which will be awesome, but there are a few things in the library in the meantime. Many of the wooden walkways and bridges from Pirate's Skyhold make decent dock structures. There are also some skyship skeletons that would work just as well in the water.

Since this thread seems to still be active and most importantly seen by the gods of development...
    • individual bar tables - with a few chairs, drinks/food on table and 1-n patrons about.
    • preacher/cleric on soapbox - handful of npcs listening
    • water well - a few npcs gathered talking/drinking water
    • some different stable clusters w/ and w/o horses and barding/ropes/etc
    • various "marker" rock piles
    • "filler" village npc clusters -- some walking, small groups or pairs talking, arguing, flirting, etc.
    • graveyard tombstones - 1x5, 1x10, 2x10, 5x5, 5x10, etc.
    • graveyard tomb - well maintained, flowered, abandoned, crumbling w/debris, etc
    • kitchen work shelves, cutting tables
    • alchemist/lab tables/shelves
    • armorer work tables/shelves
    • weaponsmith work tables/shelves
    • stream side washer women npcs

    kitchen work shelves, cutting tables

There are already some kitchen assets. Can't access the foundry right now, because I'm at work. But in essence, there should be everything there.

I am currently missing some banners, symbols and clerical assets in general for the more important gods like Shar and Torm. I am also missing various body parts like cut off limbs.

I got out a great big map, started dropping in clusters, and i was on my way to making an entire new town.. and quickly ran out of objects.. /wrist. i now have a lot of fences, and no object space left for anything else.. ITS ONE EPIC FENCE, THOUGH. Now if i could only fit in some other stuff...

I want a low cost cluster of ground patch - to convert the mossy floor of green outside maps to real ground with variation in texture like mud, grass, yellowish parts and hay.

    1. Premade Chatter NPC Groups to populate Towns, Taverns, Dungeons, Cryptics, Keeps, etc etc. Each with a different set of text chatter and animations assigned to them.
    2. Patrol clusters to go along with the Village and town layouts.
    3. Child Clusters, They can be running around, playing and chattering away with eachother
    4. Rank and File Clusters for the more.. military occasions (saves a LOT of copy and pasting), you could even make it an advancing legion..
    5. A cluster to simulate a battle, perhaps to go along with the debris clusters, NPC groups 'fighting' one another, until the player engages them in combat

I just want to +1 every single one of these! Taking a bare map and building a city and trying to make it feel alive while placing one person at a time is frankly enough to have me pulling my hair out.

A few things I'd love to see clusters of would be:
    • Dead bodies - piled for a mass burial or simply gathered and a few outliers that have rolled off the pile. Especially helpful since the current options for either a single npc as a dead body or the body bags neither have rag doll physics and don't stack well.
    • blood splatters for a tortue chamber, there is a cluster for the torture devices but not blood stains or projectors to match.
    • Tracks - muddy, bloody, sooty, etc tracks to be placed near battle areas, high traffic areas, etc. Thsi way you don't just have a single path of wear but have recent signs of many passings.
    • NPC Encounter Set pieces: clusters of npc's that can be set to run a particular animation (preparing for battle, standing up for chairs/benches, interupted mid gamble/conversation that turn and react before becoming an encounter. These would be tied to the animation such that it's not just a cluster of npcs but a set piece for story telling.
    • Ransacked drawers/chests, items of clothing strewn about around the furniture piece as if it had been hastily searched.
    • hand and foot holds to be placed along walls, to show where a character could climb up
Do you crave a good old fashioned dungeon crawl? One where the dungeon tells it's own story? The Dungeon Delves campaign is just for you! Start with my first release: NW-DQF4T7QYH Any cave can lead to adventure!

I'd like the ability of cut/paste objects from one map to another.

As far as clusters, I like the idea of table settings, kitchen settings, etc. Things to clutter up a living space.

Invisible wall clusters, something maybe 5x5 in a hollow box formation to put around npcs to keep the mobs from attacking them? Something a bit larger for crowds?

Shrubbery/Hedge maze, maybe complete with benches in some nooks? Storm cluster that includes lightning strikes, lightning flash effect, heavy rain.

You can copy / paste from one map to another, you just can't do it cross quest with out duplicating the original quest and then changing it around. Highlight what you want to copy on one map, ctrl + c go to the next map ctrl + v

Oh really? I did a bunch of work and don't like the outdoor map it's on. I'd love to move it to another. I'll give this a shot. Thanks!

I tried to copy/paste elements (about 100) from one map to another, but the y axis (altitude) was lost in the process and all went underground. And it is a pain to correct each element manually.

For this reason, I would also kill to have the ability to create my own custom clusters. It would greatly help!

I think that it is important to focus on precision...

For example clusters of houses of different type. So there is not just one type of building...
    • Building blocks or something. Like for example now there are like two or three villages of the same buildings (same architecture). So make for example:
    • - poor houses block
    • - stone houses block (you have there buildings for that in details)
    • It doesnt have to be whole made up village rather then street or block of houses...
    • Then some kind of fortress. Like some fort with large walls and stuff.
    • Then yeah large variety of those details decoration like those barrels and stuff.. really a lot of combinations for different environments. I would say this is crucial because a lot of people need to fill their rooms with all kind of stuff... That is like crucial to have a lot of things around. So rather then "populating" option of rooms I would like quality detail clusters of interior stuff. Because "populating" works well only with some places anyway.. I use populating very very rarely anyway...

And yeah as you will make clusters of buildings then let building to behave like details so you can whole building move around.. I was just setting buildings on rough terrain and it was really really hard because you all the time have to switch between 3D and Foundry to check if the building is really sitting the right way...

And yeah for the 3D design in Foundry.. it is possible to have control over object animation? Like when you take for example some lightening torch. Then the torch stops to produce light. or waterfall stops to fall.. and all object loses its animation.. that is really bad because often you need to set object based on its animation in to precious position and when you are in dark cave and you need to place light that doesnt light on the exact right spot it is kind of tricky.. and also it would allow us to move that object in 3D and watch directly how it affects environment in different places.. like if in the cae of light if the light would be lightning then I can move it around and study where is the best position right away.. but the thing that I have to skip between Foundry and 3D to see how that light is lightening makes it so slow that I dont have time to discover the bst position of light and I leave it just where it at least fills its function... but maybe there would be much better spot where it would make the whole scene more dramatic or more interesting...

More path types. Right now there's just cobblestone and it's very traversed looking. It would be nice to have a cobblestone path that was a bit more new looking. Also dirt path, and a muddy dirt path option (would be nice combo'd with human/creature/animal tracks that way if we want the player to find someone they could actually study the ground instead of having to follow the sparkle trail).

Edit: Oh, and farmed land! I can't tell you how frustrating it is having a big farm area with crops and everything is just planted on green grass. Having strips of tilled earth would be so amazing.
