Well met and welcome to Neverwinter to all the new folks and everyone introducing themselves. There's a whole page of new introductions, so instead of bumping them all, I thought I'd just post another "Welcome" here to you all.

Thanks for the welcome! I've actually been around for a couple of months, but I grew to hate my old username, so I got a new account. Great to meet everyone! I can't wait to play with you guys.
greetings and salutations to all, I'm new to the world of dungeons and dragons, had watched my nephew play Dungeons and Dragons Online, but at that time i was too busy playing star trek online to convert over, saw the opportunity to beta test Neverwinter and i must say i have had alot of fun for the day, the visuals and gameplay are quite thrilling and fun, from what i have seen so far you guys have done a great job, looking forward to rising in the morning and playing some more, so for now see you all in-game eventually and thanks for the fun..

Hiya folks,
I've played through all the versions of Neverwinter till date and absolutely love the franchise because it introduced me to DnD.
Started playing PnP when 4th ed came out and I'm stoked to see an online conversion. (WotC - you lost my subscription after the virtual tabletop came to a standstill)
Previously, I was a part of the old NWN online roleplaying community that gamed via Neverwinter Connections, so if anyone from there spots this, drop me a line. (Gulfwulf, Karvon - I'm guessing you guys are lurking around)
Before that, I was also pretty active on a persistent world called Avlis for a couple of years, so if anyone remembers a dwarven defender named Bheem... "Gorr, ta ya".
Really looking forward to the latest incarnation and hope to jump in for the last Beta weekend.
Also itching to get started on the Foundry content - both playing and designing.

Been mostly away on personal matters last few days, just wanted to welcome all the new folks introducing themselves and didn't want to go bumping and replying to a ton of posts, so..
I began playing D&D by myself with the Hollow World boxed set in 1991.
HOLLOW WORLD!!!!!!! It was also my first! I still have the boxed set packed away with all the things from my youth I just couldn't part with out in the garage (because in Florida putting anything in the attic is a death sentence)

Oh gods I know! I lost so many good books due to Florida's humidity and heat. I still do have my Hollow World Boxed set too!

My parents wouldn't let me play d&d. They thought id run into a steam tunnel and kill myself after pledging my life to satan. Luckily a relative set them straight on the matter eventually.
You're gonna make me go out there and dig mine up aren't you? ;D But you won't trick me into taking a pic of myself! (clever folks will have seen me respond to the facebook love you guys gave me on my fanart though)

I somehow tricked my parents with a lot of the boxed campaigns (like hollow world) that they were not D&D, because if you didn't look too closely D&D was very minor on the title... MUAHAHAHA.

That reminds me of when I would save a movie review webpage to the harddrive and edit out references to all the 'objectionable parts', maybe add a few plugs of how uplifting and family friendly it was as well , then bring it up for my parents to read. I can still remember my brother and I pouring over the wording to try and make everything sound legitimate.
Hello all, I am me and you are not! I understand how this could frustrate many of you, but do not despair, for know that you know me, you yourself will be a better person because of it.
Haha, I'm an old D&D player (I started with the original red box set in the late 70's, yes I know the ad&d started coming out around that time too. Anyways, really excited for this game to be releases, creating content should be a blast, after watching the foundry video's im all giddy.

Sorry, couldn't find it in search, there should be a sticky thread with this stuff for newbies, and I can't start a new thread asking so I guess I have to spam other threads until I can start my own.
How the hell do you find out what my handle is? I have friends I want to meet up in game, they tell me I need my handle, and I have no idea how to find it. They tell me it's my login/username, but there's no @ in my username, and I log in using my email.

. . . . . Open your Quest Journal and then select the mission you want to drop and then press Abandon on the bottom right page.
