When I'm the DM I usually prefer Waterdeep. There's enough excitement there to keep a campaign going indefinitely! When I do campaigns set in ancient times, I loved the flying city of Undrentide and the whole of the Netheril Empire.

What you mean besides Neverwinter? I've been running a Neverwinter 4e dnd game since the sourcebook came out, and it's definitely my favourite urban setting. But if I had to pick another, I'd probably say Targos in Icewind Dale. I was a huge fan of the Icewind Dale video games, and Targos definitely grabbed my imagination: small enough to get to know everyone but big enough to retain it's mystery!

I'm split between Amn, because I spent sooooo many hours there questing and exploring (BG2)... and Kuldahar (Icewind Dale)... charming city, although quite small!!
