Surprised I haven't seen a class poll yet, but we're getting close and I'm interested to see what folks are planning to play. If you're like me, I tend to visit the MMO census sites a fair bit. I hope NW will eventually have one too.
Included in these options is the Founder's Pack Menzoberranzan Renegade, although I'm not entirely sure it is it's own class or just a Rogue derivative.
Remember, please be mindful of the NDA, if you plan to describe why you picked the class you chose.

I will be a Drow Trickster Rogue with the Menzoberranzan Renegade background/costume. My trusty Panther pet and my Spider mount. I'm going to leave nothing but corpses in my wake...
I usually like to play the "THERE'S something you don't see every day" character. Gameplay style is irrelevant to me (as most of us as DM's and/or players have played them all before). I want to play the least common class, not to be a hipster or whatever, but to fill out the party's role for those hard-to-find classes that often come in handy (or life saving), but are often neglected.
Since there are so few choices at the moment, though, my decision is still up in the air.

I'm starting to think this very same way and thus I'm leaning to Controlling Wizard first instead of Cleric. I see LOTS of folks saying Cleric and a moderate amount wanting to try out the Trickster Rogue.
But I'm not seeing a lot seeing Controlling Wizard and coincidently, that's the preview video that got me jacked up on Neverwinter! LOL!

The Founder drow background is not a class...:p
I'll play Rogue Trickster unless "something" happens during Beta. That "something" would lead to Devoted Cleric or Great Weapon Fighter on release.
Also, not sure this is an either/or option. I would likely try several classes before I settle on one for my main, though, I really don't like any of them for her. Maybe control wizard (though, I was hoping to play her Cha-based). I would also consider Cleric but I refuse to wear heavy armor for my main. I'm really not liking the limited class options, though, and wonder if any of them would work for any of my concepts. My most typical alt is a dual weilding ninja themed babe, but I'm not seeing something along those lines in that list.
Perhaps, but I figured that class would be more like a swashbuckling Cha-based rogue. But maybe it will fit her fine. I'll have to wait and see. Also wonder how the dual weilding part of her concept will fit with that class. Maybe she'll be more like a dual weilding ranger in 4ed.
Ive had an itch for wizard/mage class for long time now, I even said to myself I play one in Kingdoms of Amalur but still failed myself and went for stealth...
Going to play everything at some point, but Guardian fighter for sure first. would like to play an archer like character or a tanky paladin character as well if they end up having those available as playable classes.
If My shield can't protect you, nothing in the realms can.
Have my fingers and toes crossed for some type of ranger.

I voted "undecided" but what I really meant was I will play all of them. Yep, I'll play for a few levels, and delete, until I figure out which 2 I like best, (or more depending on how much character slots cost), then I'll start from scratch.
I normally play blastcaster wizard types but so far the only option control mage, looks lackluster to me. So most likely the GWF or the Prot Warrior. If they come out with that Fire Mage at release or soon after maybe that.
I'm really surprised at the time of this post that Clerics are leading the count! I may have to give them a more serious look, perhaps an alt after my Rogue.

Go Go servant of the Gods!!!
This is an interesting poll, and goes to show that the DnD cleric has always been well liked by fans. The ability to cast Healing, Offensive and Defensive spells, recieve powers from their diety, turn undead, even destroy them at higher levels, wear heavy armours and wield an impressive arsenal of weapons. Giving a player tremendous versatility in any encounter. For me personally, it is my go to class in any PnP or CRPG DnD game!

Im amazed the Great Weapon Fighter hasn't shown allot of interest. More originality for me!

I was about to point this^ out.

That sounds like Trickster Rogue to me.
I'm a healer at heart, have always been so.
That said I'll probably be a trickster rogue and control wizard. Not sure yet which I'll stick with as my main

And yeah, wasn't sure if the Drow renegade was a separate class, but it's still kinda neat to see how many will roll one.
Same here.

Maybe a rogue....or a cleric ....

I guess we love us some healy types!
However, as an alt-o-holic, I would have voted "All of the Above" if there had been that option.

Frankly i think many people just love the cleric class, as I do. If it's completed with a healing package, i'll take it immediately.
