Name Your Heroes!

I'm curious what what names you will use. Be honest!!!

I'll probably go with my standard names. And move away from my DDO names. They bore me. So back to the old me.

    Zyn Faerl Menzoberra (Rogue, Adult Drow Male - son of Myr)

    I haven't planned any others yet. Depends on what classes will be at release, but Zebular will most likely be my first and most played, at least for a while.

    FYI, on naming, don't worry about someone else taking your name because character names are only unique to you! Everyone gets assigned an @handle, for example my handle is @Captain Zebular, so all my characters will have this handle suffixed to them.

    You cannot have two characters named the same name, however another player can have the same name. Only the @handles are unique for all users. Individual Character Names, are only unique per account.

    For example, I can only make one Zebular:
    Zebular@Captain Zebular

    But if "bob" wanted to, he could have a Zebular too:
    Zebular@bob

    You'll be able to to turn on and off the displaying of @handles through the chat features.

    When in the text editor to make or edit a post, see the top left button? "Switch editor to source mode," click this on your post then delete everything and type from scratch. You've encountered the notorious bug with the forums. The forums do not support special characters and copying/pasting them or even sometimes just copying and pasting will confuse the forums thinking you entered a special character.     Ah thank you, i think i found the problem. My character's name has a special character, and i was busy trying to find out why it wouldn't show. It seems the text after a special character gets deleted too, that's why you see only the M.
    on-topic: my characters will be:
    Miriel (the first i is supposed to have an apostrof), a female half-elf Trickster Rogue.
    Iduna, a Drow mage (hopefully there will be a warlock in Neverwinter!)

    For the moment that is it. I have hopes of having something based more on Assassin than on Trickster (even if it is an Assassin Rogue and not the Assassin class) for one character in the future, and if we ever get to play orcs/half-orcs then I will bring in Tooze, my idiot barbarian from one campaign ;)

    I'm sure I will experiment with other starting classes, but so far the only plans are to bring in existing characters I already have.

    Going to have:
    Shapanor and Whysper as i usually have those in most games i play. May use names from books such as Clothahump, Mudge, Polgara or Silk.

    Today Raeuz was also used up in my foundry campaign story - he will no longer be my Player Character - but will be NPC like Maeve Indignation in my story.

    *sigh*

    Now I am only left with Ornisk as I already used Balsa.

    All of my characters names will have "Roth" as their first name. Though if I ever play a halfling, I might call him Rotho <insert last name>. :)

    Btw, on Runes of Magic I was/am Meldroth on Osha server. On Realms Online I was Meldroth on Haven server. And for a brief misguided period a couple of years ago I was Roth Doriath on Runescape.

    Meldroth actually came from wanting to be called Roth on Realms Online, but that being taken.

    Got to say I am glad we have this handle system, though Meldroth has become my favorite name for elf and and half-elf characters. Roth Doriath is my favorite for human or dwarf characters.

    well, besides the truthseeker, the announcement of the GFW means I will also introduce my human sword wielding fighter/barbarian/cleric (sometimes all three) Bob. Sorry, he keeps reversing the name, should have been Bob!


    Other names are pending on if I bring in classic characters or make new ones and heavily weigh on if we got bow rangers and monks or not...

    I will definitely use the names I used in my D&D campaigns of old, the same names I use for every RPG I have played since.

    No I will not tell you, until after I made them. :p
    There is a rumor floating around that I am working on a new foundry quest. It was started by me.
