Much prefer the buy to play model ANet and now Funcom uses with secret world. Pay some fee for the box, no sub, less obnoxious cash shop.
Secret World... Less Obnoxious Cash store... Huh? I found it worse then most of them (Then again most of my Experiance with them is STO, CO and SWTOR.... and the Attrocity that is WoW's..)
Diplomancy: Sometimes "I hit it with my Axe" is the only Answer.
A Challenge is something interesting and awkward until you beat it... then it's called "Repetative"
There's no box since this is totally digital. Even so, there's no client cost. Get over that. There WILL be a cash shop as it's a F2P game people.
QFT or would it be QFIATS...
Cash shop looks pretty much on par with all the others I've seen. (with limited info of course) Lets not burn down the barn until we actually know there is a monster inside.

How is TSW's cash shop more obnoxious than STO's CO's or SWTOR's? I'm scratching my head on this one. There's no lockboxes, no gear, no ships, no mounts, nothing in there but cosmetics, titles, noncombat pets and name/server changes. Oooooo, it has xp bonuses. But you can go anywhere in the game from the getgo (A buddy of mine recently bought the game and I took him straight to Transylvania), so I don't see how that's a problem.
I would rather they let people buy some nice items than have them charge us piecemeal for each storyline or set of quests :P Highly unlikely that anything you can buy will be absolutely better than stuff you can potentially earn. I'm not worried. I trust Cryptic.
NeverWinter will be the first F2P MMO, but I am glad I am not going into the game blind. I hope the items are mostly cosmetic or possibly low grade gear to help new players or struggling players.
I'm sort of disappointed to hear that. while I like F2P, I would be happy to subscribe to a game that was worth it. But i guess I could always spend 15$ a month in the shop if I really felt like it.
If this game delivers even a fraction of the awesome it looks like it will, I won't be afraid to hit the store and support them on a regular basis. Quality work, especially in a market crowded with turds, deserves reward. I know they've said that it's not pay to win, and I hope they stick with that. But I'm sure it'll be tough to resist if they can't make money off the market with the cosmetic and convenience items.
I have no problem with the zen store gear tab. While I don't trust Cryptic I do trust the Devs interest in making money and you don't do that by suddenly doing the opposite of what you have said and alienating a large portion of you players. So I don't think it will be pay2win via the zen store. I do expect to see a few things I wish weren't in there but you can't have a game wihtout a revenue stream If this game comes close to matching my hopes I will support it in the zen store even if I just throw the item away later or turn the mount into glue.
what i see and i am most concerned here is that gear tab.
Probably nothing more than special armor skins that you can use to replace the skin of your current armor without replacing stats (e.g. a roleplayer finds armor that has amazing stats but looks like something a Lawful good player would wear and wants to make it look like something a chaotic neutral player like them would wear).

If that's the case then iam happy. I really wish we had some official info not only about zen store but in general ex how crafting works in depth what kind of items we get if we get set items, Affixes on items? and will roll their level based on the level of the monster killed rather than the item's level? staff like that will be nice to know.
And what i really wonder is how many threads will go into the abyss on this forum before we see some info about the game.

Neverwinter Nights on TVTropes
Exactly. Cryptic has to make their money back somehow.
