Is it just me or do two of those store sections say gear and companions? Please tell me we don't have to "rent" companions like DDO... and I thought they weren't selling gear?

You could acompany your post with your own thoughts.:p
I see no problem with the different tabs in the Zen shop. Gear may be problematic but only depending on the actual content(/price) of it. But the same as I don't care if someone buys/uses a "100% bonus to experience" boost, I neihter care about players "stuffing" their characters through "extradimensional money". Non PvPer here, of course.
Already saving for companions... if they are not some kind of lame consumable ones.
That's my thoughts too. The pvp is going to suck if gear is buy able, but I don't care about that. If companions can be used more than one at a time, and if they actually have their own personalities I'd pay for some. As long as we get stock ones too.
I do like the idea of having compagnions, so if they make them worth it i might buy one or two, to support the game. What i do doubt is the gear tab. i would like to see what they mean by gear, because i wouldn't like to have powerful gear for sale with real money, as that might unbalance the game.
As others have posted my only concern is the gear tab in the Zen store. I would be highly disappointed if the gear makes this game Pay to Win. It really deters me and hopefully others from enjoying the excitement and accomplishment of downing that last raid boss per say and getting that epic whatever to just be outdone by some noob who bought a +6 Hammer of Instant Death from the store if you know what I mean. I am ok with say buying a blue whatever that is level appropriate but epics and higher should always in my opinion be content driven.
Peoplez cool down? That video is ancient and in October we were told that they are not sharing details of Zen store as they have not yet figured it out.
This means zen store out there is many of the iterations which followed consecutively to make a final product not yet unveiled.
So do not add extra meaning to every scene at video, instead press cryptic for actual, confirmed, legible and legal information so we can have discussion with "clear" facts and not a misguided debate based on hearsay.
ok so please cryptic take place here because we have seen a video of a 5 month old zen store and we see gear tab on the store please inform the fans here whats the case and what changes have you done since then.
It will be great to have some new info don't you think.

Crypitic have clearly stated there will be NO pay to win shop as they recognise nobody would play.

And just on the Ze shop, Ill have to put a bit aside in a secret stash each pay as I really want to support this game and I plan on spending a bit. Ive always been a sucker for mounts and cosmetic stuff. Never really bought a booster though.

Much prefer the buy to play model ANet and now Funcom uses with secret world. Pay some fee for the box, no sub, less obnoxious cash shop.
This game looks cool but I'm beyond sick of lame F2P models.
Plus, when players have to for sure spend SOME money on the game thru buying the box, the quality of players from that alone helps counter the freeloaders.

i also made support ticket about his streams and the said they will look into this but can say anything to me.
If a leak, this is supposed to be controlled by marketing team by showing official videos with updated UI compared to this footage of year ago.
But, I won't expect much from marketing team.

I LOL'd. I have always played a Troll in EQ/EQ2 so my companions are always consumable.
Oh geeee exp pots since who want's to actually experience the game...
Plus, that video is really old. That tab may not even exist in the current build.
I'm glad they could at least take some sort of stance regarding that issue.
We'll see how much they had to actually compromise with PWC when the game launches officially.

Lets hope we'll get some more info... soon lol
