    voice commands? Hmm.... Please elaborate!

I use Windows Speech Recognition (WSR) along with the downloadable microsoft Windows Speech Recognition Macro Tool (WSRM) to record voice commands and have said voice commands trigger a keyboard key.

For instance, in STO I can say, 'FIRE EVERYTHING' and all my weapons will begin firing. I have quite an extensive set of voice commands set up for STO. ;-)

Microsoft are going to be the biggest problem when it comes to getting Cash Shop games on the 360, I doubt they'll be too keen about adding something like Zen to XBL when they already have their own Points system in place. Sony are ahead of them on this front at least. It wouldn't be the first MMO to hit the platform though, which gives 360 users some hope, and I believe there are others in the works.

It would be interesting to see this on the 360, but I'm unsure how the XBL crowd and the PC crowd would gel.

    MICROTRANSACTIONS HERE

"The microtransaction-based title will include items such as armor and weapons that the player can purchase for real-world money; However, in-game content such as missions and maps will "absolutely not" be based around a system of microtransactions, says Velasquez"

Honestly dont care if they do sell power, as long as the in game content is free ill be happy...always get a laugh at people who complain in game about other uses "omg u only beat me in pvp cus u spend money on the game" lol like really?...Should really be making comments like "thank you for supporting the game so i can play for free" ... Use to play Forsaken world did perfectly fine as a free player...now take Dungeons and dragons online and completely hated it...restricting in game content with a f2p model never works well =/ glad theyre not going to try that here

Hmm, I honestly don't know if I'd play this on ps3 or pc if it came to console. I've always preferred console for almost everything but for mmos kb/mouse seem best since it lets you turn so much faster. Unless there's a fixed turn speed KB/mouse simply has a large advantage. If there's a low number of skills though- you can easily get 16 keybinds into just the x, o, square, triangle if you have the shoulder buttons act as 'hotbar switches' in that each shoulder has another 4 buttons (20 if you include not pressing a shoulder- theoretically if you go into pressing two or more shoulders at a time you can get even more).

Then you have the d-pad, l3/r3. Frankly I think it's underestimated just how much you can actually map into a regular controller- and considering people use these super mouses that have 8+ keybinds on them on top of KB, there's also super controllers that no doubt let you have potentially dozens of bindings.

As for having gear for MT but not content- sounds good to me I guess, I suppose I'd rather have a few maps be buyable than gear- but, on the other hand I have bought every DDO dungeon so in honesty I'd probably spend more money on this game if it were maps, whereas I rarely feel a compulsion to buy gear.

Please don't ruin yet another good game with handcuffed port control HAMSTER for consoles.

PC vs. Console is as hot a debate as Star Trek vs. Star Wars. Simply put, there are fanboys/girls for each side with limited animosity toward the other (granted there are people that claim to love Star Trek and Star Wars equally).

I don't think it would be wise to put the two groups into a single server. It's unbelievable sometimes how much hate there is in MMOs, down to building factions simply for PKing the opposition. Not to mention most people will see Neverwinter as having its roots set from NVN.

I'm a huge, huge console fan myself; I'll admit it. But MMOs are meant to be played for long-distance social interaction in mind, and thus can be played for many hours longer than, say, Contra before it gets TOO old. And the problem with porting at this time isn't only production costs, but timing. If you haven't been keeping up with console news, the 7th gen of platforms is on its last stand, with info of next gen systems supposedly coming out next year (and the Wii U out in a few more days). MMOs are better suited to PCs because you can make the special modification to your computer as needed, as well as have access to mods for peripherals.

To keep in line with this thread's topic, though, if NWO were ported, I don't see any way it could be F2P then. You'd either have to buy a PS Plus or XBLA gold account (monthly fees) or at least a digital dl. There's also a lot more beta testing and delays that would have to go along with patchwork, etc.....

Controllers, on the other hand, are built for what this game looks like (3rd person action). Keep in mind that the kind of view were seeing in the gameplay so far practically requires you to keep a thumb on an analog joystick (combat mostly). But that still leaves 4 shoulder and 4 face buttons free, along with Select and Start (map and inventory) .... and that's assuming that they're not being used as hot presses. It's all about each persons' preference, though. Currently, I play Diablo 3 reconfigured on my Intuos 4 drawing tablet, because isometric view games are ideal for me for that kind of pad.

    ...

I disagree here on principle. If two groups have hate, sequestering them will only increase it. Instead putting them together - they will find that they are not very different from each other after initial fights. Thus they will come closer and become one.

I'm thinking I'll buy a wired xbox 360 controller if NWO support controllers. Should we start a separate thread for this?

Take, for example, republicans and democrats and the presidential election. Okay, enough of that. The point is that, while it's true not everyone that frequents the interwebs is full of hate toward other, there are extremists out there. NWO might be full of open-minded, civil people will to greet each other! Maybe I've played Call of Duty once to many times (which was only once for like 20 min so far.)
