The fix? Clean my browser cache. EVERY TIME. Happens in Firefox and Chrome.
Bogus.
I am using Chrome, latest version. The only extension I use is the the Norton Identity Safe that came with my Norton Product. I do not have Firefox installed and do not use IE9.
I have had no issues with the Dev Tracker and I come here multiple time a day/night and have been clicking that Dev Tracker. More information may be needed, I'd contact Support and see what information they may need from you, if there is indeed an issue on their end.
It kind of like quickfix and not a true fix. If you click on dev tracker, it takes the names of all devs and searches for posts using the advanced search function.

Which is what that functions does anyway. Typically, users are clumped into usergroups. Each usergroup has specific permissions and settings. Dev Trackers display posts based upon the usergroup that they are assigned to display posts from. If they wanted, they could switch it to show only member posts or even lifetime member only posts, or any other usergroup they have or want to create. Seem to me that they have just left it so it is also displaying the members of the usergroup (mayhaps a custom one they made just for the dev tracker display) that the Dev Tracker is pulling from. As nice as it would be, forum software just cannot magically know that certain users are Developers.
It now works as long as I'm logged in. If I'm not, tracker wont work... just comes up with advanced search with "dev tracker" typed into the search.
Weak web fu PW.
I'd hazard to guess that this is so bots, web-crawlers, and non-members cannot bog down the server and eat bandwith. Search functions do use more services than just simple user-browsing, having cetain measures in place to limit abuse is reasonable in my opinion. Is it really that bothersome to have to log into a site you're a member of to use its member services? Seems to me the only thing that is missing is a redirect that says, "please log in to use the Dev Tracker."

It's just a nuisance, Zeb. Because I normally make many visits to this site and certain others each day. The logon security feature refuses to memorize the name and password, every time, so I have to relog every time I leave the site.
There is no reason to block the search feature if you arent logged on. DDOs site allows searching while not logged in. But I dont need to worry about it since it memorizes the logon details.
And there are 10s of thousands of more accounts active there.

I know my only nussiance about logging into PW Forums is that if I go to a PW Forum directly during a fresh session, it will not remember that I am logged in. So, I have two small bookmarks to work around this, placed in my top bookmarks bar.
So, in order for me to stay logged in between sessions, I have one extra click. Mayhaps this will be an acceptable work-around for you also until they resolve this small outstanding log-in issue. By sessions, I mean closing my browser and re-opening it. It keeps me logged in the forums side as long as I do not close the browser. It does keep me continually logged into the frontpage between sessions however.
By the way, in Chrome, you can edit a bookmark and delete the name to have a name-less bookmark that displays the default site favicon image for a condensed bookmark bar.
I'm a bit confused as to what exactly is going on with the log in issue- I know the site does tend to log one out often, but if it's an issue of it not remembering your user/pass, that might be something to check your browser settings. In chrome, I'm able to stay logged in for long periods of time, and I rarely bother logging out except to test things, like the dev tracker- maybe they can set it to re-direct to a "you must be logged in" page. Though, it's more like a saved search than a tracker (but considering what the dev tracker is as far as VBulletin is concerned, it's a reasonable workaround- cookies to the guy who got it working!).
Rambles...
So, what exactly is going on when you're trying to stay logged in? Or, are you on a public/work computer where you just /can't/ log in?
When I stay logged in, I'm usually ok, its when I log out, which I do often. My living is at the computer screen, its just not possible for me to stay logged in all day... I'm on/off. Needing to log onto the site 10-20 times a day gets annoying after the 2nd-3rd time.
The only browser feature that I've seen affect it is cleaning/refreshing the browser cache. But it doesnt work all the time.

The first one goes here: http://www.playneverwinter.com/frontpage - which seems to always remember that I am wanting to stay logged in.
Then, after loading that main page, I then click the next bookmark which takes me here: http://nw-forum.perfectworld.com/

Nope, tried that actually It still doesnt "remember" my log in info. I need to re-enter username and password.
Its just a pita. Makes me not want to bother logging in. And I dont much, any longer.
When they upgrade this graveyard of a website, I'll be on more regularly.
Thanks tho.
