    Glad I am not the only one with this issue. last night April 5th, I was in the catacombs and the game kept crashing to desktop. I eventually was able to escape the catacombs crashes and I thought maybe it was just the zone, So I decided to start another quest line in dwarven valley. As I was trying to load into the new zone, it started patching as I was loading, it then crashing to desktop. After that I tried to log in to that character and it would take me to that zone loading screen, then crash again. So I did a force verify and then it would not let me ingame and the message "Unable to start game client. Client quit unexpectly" would pop up. Hopefully this gets fixed soon. I'm having a withdrawal :'(

    All of the above.. I removed all installations, did a new download/installation including the force verify.

    Looking at the n umbers, the force verify showed 2 numbers, the first was running, the second the amount of files to check.. the counter was running way over the value of the amount of files that needed verify

    Is anyone having trouble getting into the River District or just me? I just had two my of characters taken out of the map because it would make the game crash every time I tried to go there. Can it be taken away from the legacy campaign until it is fixed as well please and thank you.

    I am having low fps and freezes in Menzoberranzan.

    Before the emergency maintenance i have on low graphics settings mostly 60 fps and sometimes lower between 40 to 50 fps.
    After the maintenance i have mostly 40 to 50 fps and sometimes around 60.

    and the freezes are every 10 to 20 seconds as i riding around and fight mobs.

    i am playing on Windows 10 and Linux Mint (using Lutris) and both experiences are nearly the same.

    EDIT: the short freezes on my side seem to happen on same places:
    for example at the top right entrance of the Map Menzoberranzan near the Elite Beholder on the far right direction
    if i ride from this entrance to the Beholder the freezes happens twice nearly every time.

    and if i join the Lockdown Driders fight with many around 10+ players my fps drop to 30 similar to the Ship BHE on the River District Map.

    thats the main reason i play on low settings even if i have recommend pc specs (shown on steam store page) and i am a little confused, what hardware do i need to play with high to ultra settings and have 55 to 60 fps everytime or if it is really possible to get those fps.

    I "need" those high fps to have control about my actual character, at lower fps it is more difficult (for me) to handle the fight properly.

    Hello,

    I would like to report extremely poorly performance in Gzemnid's Reliquary trial. For reference, I am using quite a low-end PC to play the game and the usual results I get is 30-40 FPS on Medium Graphics settings (using both sliders, with some minor manual adjustments). Meanwhile, in Gzemnid's Reliquary trial I get as few as 15-20 FPS on Lowest possible graphics settings (using both sliders, with the only manual adjustment being Character Detail set to Medium rather than Min), which sometimes drops to absolutely disastrous 10 FPS. In fact, changing Graphic settings seems to have little to no effects on performance within that trial (and only that trial).

    As you can imagine, playing the trial like this is quite difficult. I also want to make it clear that it's the only queued content I am having such massing performance issues in at the moment.

    I would very much appreciate if this could get investigated and potentially improved. @percemer

    Funny Thing about Neverwinter Crashes is they at least for me almost always stop for me doing just one simple thing I realized about 6 months ago! This FIX also has NOTHING to do with Driver updates for Video Card, or even the various Computer components either, so please TRY this at leastor DXDIAG like support often asks:

    ==========================================================================
    With my old Monitor that was 60 FPS I always had crashes sometimes 1-2x a week, other times it could be a few times a day. Yet when I got my new Monitor I suddenly noticed I hadn't had a CRASH for like 4+ Months, not even 1. Then I reviewed all my settings, and realized the only thing that changed when the new Monitor installed was it hadn't set Limit Frame Rate in Game Preferences.

    So just to TEST this, I choose the highest option i could at 120 despite my new Monitor being 165 Hz; yet within 1 day I again had a CRASH simply by limiting frame rate. Now it's not just Game Preferences, where you can SET this yet also in your NVIDIA Control Panel > 3D Settings > Manage 3D Settings. So now I've RETURNED and ensure BOTH the Game, and the NVidia Control Panel don't set Limit Frame Rate. Having returned to turning Limit Frame Rate to OFF in both, I was once again Crash Free for 2 months. :+1:

    Now I'm realizing had I done this with my old 60 Hz Monitor, and had not limited frame rate to 60 and instead set it also to Limit Frame Rate to OFF, I also suspect my old monitor / video card combo wouldn't have triggered crashes either.

    =======

    Setting your Display & Advanced settings like this, may also resolve ALL crashing issues:

    &

    Something they've done within the Game Client for some reason causes crashes when you Set to Limit Frame Rate, rather than just enable the Vertical Sync to your Monitor's Driver, and then ask the game to Sync Frame Rate as shown above. If you are sometimes having Neverwinter Crashes, try setting the settings exactly as shown above where the green box is set to OFF. :)

    I also do the same for STO and that also stops similar issues their as well.

    I am experiencing frequent crashes and freezes when in New Sharandar since the update last week. It happens frequently just moving around the area (mire, ruin etc) and it happens 4 out of 5 times transitioning to those areas. it has also happened when transitioning to the stronghold or workshop but much less frequently. I did not have any of these issues prior to the the update. Makes it very difficult to grind out fey currency to upgrade the stronghold when I am getting booted out every 5 to 10 min.
