First of all everyone, I'm a developer of 5 years in the business and I can't believe I'll be defending Craptic. I can't login to the game. I know the communication is not acceptable. I know an unnoticed log off time of 17 hours is not acceptable. I know it's all, not acceptable. But jesus, please have some sympathy here. Trust me no one here would want to be in the shoes of those developers right now. You have no idea what the problem is, and again trust me, in this business it's not that easy to solve some unseen problems. Just chill a little bit. They already said they would make up for it, and Neverwinter has always been positive when it comes to gifting regarding technical problems.
They should had bigger team right. By the ammount of money thay are getting? @masterclown61 ur full of HAMSTER P.S I am CEo of 3 companies I know this HAMSTER.
Now I understand why you are such a smart HAMSTER. Have fun with that mentality in life, and never ever insult me again.
This has been happening for two days. Points to note: Only on our Windows 10 Home laptop. Both the desktop machines are running Neverwinter, using Windows 10 Pro. One is a Lenovo Thinkcenter, the other a custom-built graphics workstation.
There is a crash log on the laptop, but I don't know if Arc gets the info from it.

Oh yeah, they've always made up for their mistakes with useless junk like campaign currency or health gems. And yes I'll say it again cryptics (now gearboxes) are very greedy and will never adequately compensate.

Does that about sum up our current situation? Somebody (incompetence or maliciousness? we wonder) seemingly pushed out a patch that broke the game, and now we've been waiting, and waiting. Currently the last 'update' on the situation was over 5 hours ago? I don't know whether I am supposed to keep trying to start the game every half hour or so to see if another patch is available to fix this or what.
Well, it's pretty obvious by now that some users here are up way beyond their nap time!
Like, come on people, seriously? They lose money/income every minute the servers are not up, it is literally in their best interest to fix this as fast as they can. Don't you think they'd want the game to be online so that players can spend money? Jeez ...
If you do a force verify of Neverwinter it "eventually" works and successfully patches. One machine did first go, but the second took three goes before it finally went through with verifying and patching. Still doesn't stop it just crashing sadly
I can't login that what I know lol. Other than that, I don't even know if some players are able to login. In any way, looks like it's going to take some time to fix this mess.
Is there a way to directly start the game through GameClient.exe? I'm asking because somebody might have an uncorrupted version of the game and could upload the essential files somewhere for others to download and play. This ofc only works if you can bypass the launcher to avoid running into the same error again.
Was able to get in this morning, but now, nothing. I had tried to force verify, said file 2 was missing and crashed. Now, won't let me log in at all. I 'had' a lot I wanted to get done, but nope sauce on that. I went outside, and I don't want to trigger anyone but there's like, trees and stuff out there. Probably bugs and pollen. If I make it, I'll try and check on that outside thing again tomorrow. If we had a monk class, I'd enjoy all this meditation time, but of course I can't say if we do or not, because, ya know, I can't log into the game. Just sayin'. Not bitter or anything. Pollen, it's a thing. I'm willing to take one for the team, but if ya'll are hauled off kicking and screaming by the Drow, well, I tried to be there for ya, I really did.

Honestly, people demanding answers RIGHT THIS BLOODY SECOND is annoying.
I'd rather developers spend the time simply acknowledging there's a problem and fixing it than fielding demands from pitchforks on social media and forums.
one day to fix a problem it's been 11:35 this morning that I can't log in now it's 23:15 you should be ashamed, shame.
my god y'all would not have survived the mid to late 90s where we were all on dial-up and patching Ultima and Everquest could take ALL DAY.
Sunshine SaltmineIs only game, why you have to be so buttmad?

Changes to the game have made me mad / upset over the decade I've been playing this game, such as selling me additional character slots and then taking away the AD rewards from invoking them all. But not being able to play at all is getting near my breaking point. I have to tell you that I am seriously peeved right now. Not even an update in the last 7 hours. Did the one person that knows what is going on go on vacation or what? I see the green light on the launcher, does that mean that some people ARE able to get in still, or only if they haven't re-started it since the broken patch was pushed out? Or did you (Cryptic) turn off that patch and they are okay if they logged after that? I see that people have tried uninstalling and reinstalling and that is no help, so the broken 'patch' is already in the full download file? I love this game, but the way it is being 'supported' lately may make this whale walk away.
