I do really get a laugh every time I read a new player complaint comments about not getting a legendary mount from a lockbox. I have had six month VIP stints where I pulled absolutely NOTHING good. It has been this way ever since they had lockboxes. Do new players ever consider that other players who have been playing since the game first launched have gone through the same experience? And in some cases years and years with no legendary mount. New players always seem to want things changed for them meanwhile forget everyone else had to go through the same ringer.

not a new player been dealing with this through out the game where i haven't been able to pull one legendary from my account for how i have been here since mod5 cause after trying to make tickets they didn't help for how you shouldn't laugh at people for not getting one

ya i get my chuckles for this same thing whether they new or old players... i pulled one leggy mount after 5mnths vip an aint seen another since an i been a ps4 plyer since day one.... i got a buddy that has been day one ps4'er too an aint had one yet an its been over 3 yrs an he's had vip longer than me lol... ive stocked an saved numerous times on keys an spam opend after so many saved an .... nuttin..... i know gambling an thats wht this is so i aint faced with it an besides.. somea the stuff you do pull.... worth the resell lol hell i evn got over 1000 keys now as is an still stacking.... do i think ima get anything... nah.... its been oer a year since i last opend any boxes tho lol so maybe gamble gamble gamble hoowahh

ive opened 100's of lockboxes probably close to 500-700 and never got a legendary mount and probably only ever twice got an epic mount.
If people spend money on lockbox keys they are mad

i haven't been opening up lockboxs for a while and after opening up some today that i haven't been able to pull any legendary mount for how frustrating this has been for me and how i can only pull out epic mounts and companions but not legendary so come on cryptic let me have the legendary toad please for the exchange
Join the club aside from marks of potency i never got anything legendary from a box, notifications are there to make you think legendary mounts drop often but they don't, it's all a thing to make you want to open lockboxes. Go watch Rainer youtube vids and you will se how abysmal are your chances of getting one and on top of that those notifications used to be on a loop ( i don't know now since i put the notification window on a corner where i can't see it and i also don't have them the in chat).

I think they just needed to vent. Everything we play is gambling. After all it is called a state gaming commission and not gambling commission. By the way, I am the dad mentioned on page one who took his boys camping and taught them the pick a star game. Doesn't matter to me about loot boxes or chances. If you play Monopoly, Poker, or D&D at the kitchen table you are gambling. Games are about winning and losing and we all feel cheated when the odds are stacked against us. In most events, we have fun and laughs, and go away with good memories of a enjoyable night with friends. There are on some occasions the dice, cards, etc. don't play in our favor and we need to vent about it. Meanwhile my two boys are grown and neither gambles on the state lottery. The oldest took me out to the casino on my birthday, just because they give you free birthday money to feed the slots. I didn't play, I drank the free coffee and watched him win $50 on my birthday. But even so, he only visits the casino about twice a year at most. I think they might have listened to their old man.

P.S The game does not award mounts / increase your luck based on how many winter event items given out because of someone "thinking" they were being altruistic, nor grant extra rewards to self entitled people for not breaking selective rules that they define .*shakes head*
why not propose a system to the devs that rewards players top end 15000k zen mount packs based on their "generosity" then

Well, with legendary mounts in the ZEN shop, not right now but i'm sure they'll be back at some point in the near future, i see no reason to not turn this event in a second Siege of Neverwinter, meaning making it a returning event, so that everyone can have a shot at a legendary mount over time.

There is a garanteed drop... sort of. Sell the contents you dont want from your lockboxes. After only 250 lock boxes... K'ching! you can buy a Legendary Mount on the auction house witht the sales you made.

250 lock box contents (just the basic stuff) sells for 6.25 million - you keep any epics or legendary stuff as extra bonus You also get about 1,500 tarmalunes. You can use these to sell Health stones for another 1.5 million
Seems to me the complaints are not about Legendary mount drops... but rather... you just want more monetary value per lockbox. If they up the values though... then peeps buy more keys, then the price of the contents goes down on the auction house due to supply glut.. and that takes us back to where we started again, sort of. Gamble with money you can affort to lose, and do it for fun. Don't gamble with money you can't afford to lose... don't gamble if you need to win... dont gamble if its not fun for you.

one of my main accounts got a legendary rex mount with only 250 lockboxs in mod12 where they need to drop the rates for how I think 400 to 1000 I think is way to much for a legendary for how they should let players have a chance at couple legendary mounts than steal there money for how I have never had one in vip

If I were Queen.... the loot boxes would have a much better system or just not in the game at all. The box dropping would show the items along with the odds of winning said item. The new box "wasteland" would not only show you odds but the odds would be reduced every time you opened the box. For example;
Let's assume you opened a 100 boxes got companions, refinement, and other items, from them. The odds in winning the legendary mount would be reduce from 1 in 800 to 1 in 700. This doesn't mean you would open 800 to get the mount. But the more you opened the better your chances are in winning. This reduction would be limited to the legendary items and stop at 1 in 100, if anyone actually went that far. Winning the legendary mount would reset the odds.
Well, i'd slap a counter (like there's for refining) on all the lockboxes, and depending on how dated those boxes are, a player would only have to open 30/60/90 (old/released within the last 3 mods/new) of them to get an account bound top tier reward.
Any top tier reward pulled normally from a lockbox would remain tradable.
And if that is not an option, then the Devs should really consider changing the current lockbox design again, because the old one with the perfectly packed up loot was and still is way better.

I would disagree that the average value is 25k AD per box. It was long ago... but these days the new boxes is more like 5-10k AD/box.
