Were you able to recreate this very problematic hindering strike?
I've spent about half an hour jumping, running, shifting, using skills and using Hindering Strike around dummies without success. Then I do a Prophecy of Madness and my second hit with Hindering Strike wiffs past mobs without doing anything.
I've considered the possibility of it being a latency issue - a disconnect between your location and mobs moving - but my ping isn't terrible - around ~90 - so that didn't seem very likely. Could you tell me your rotation and where in that rotation Hindering Strike comes? For instance, on melee side I open with Plant Growth (2x Serpent), Steel Breeze, quick hit, Hindering (2x Ranged Serpent to boost Roots).
I have used it since Mod 5, every day, I have never ever seen it not hit when i am in range.
It can be quite hard to notice in the absolute clustertruck of damage floaters coming up from the monsters if you're using CA, Plant Growth and Thorned Roots, but I've definitly experienced what he's describing. One way of noticing is the sound Hindering Strike makes. It's very different from when you hit with it, as you won't hear the sound of bushes being rustled (application of Thorned Roots).

We have looked into reports of players experiencing connection problems and have been unable to identify any server, data center, or client-side issues. We believe this may be ISP related.
Rotation changes depending on what's going on. But usual rotation careful att ,Pg Hs St,,Con Cordon Hs. Have play the hr since release on ps4 and has been this way since it unlocked leveling up. Most people who just push buttons and don't know what is really going on would probably not even realized HS missed bit it is real.

Hmmmm weird, I'm not saying it doesnt happen its just not happened to me or its so rare i never noticed it. My personal set up is LS>Constricting>Hindering with Slashers and Disruptive.
Main - Rydia (HR70) - Xbox One Player only Alts : Storm (SW70), Edge (TR70), AD Farm (CW70), Grunt (GF70), Rosa (DC70), AD AD AD (GWF70), Your Mum (OP70)
I don't expect nor want another overhaul. I was very content with the place the Trapper had before the previous overhaul, and glad the overhaul brought Combat up to speed. I've seen a few respectable Archery brothers, but they're in short supply.
My position has always been an impopular one: There's too much damage and characters are too powerful. There's a couple of ways to remedy that. Either, you increase content difficulty, at the risk of alienating the more casual player base, or you nerf all classes, pissing off the players who've min/maxed the hell out of their characters. My biggest fear, though, is that if all the issues with the HR - and not just HR, but all classes - get fixed, it'll become even clearer how stupidly overpowered - God Tier - players can become. I know it sounds silly, but bugs and stuff not working - like Orcus set - seems the be the last thing keeping the massive power creep in check.

I agree that power creep is completely out of control, but the root causes of this are lack of diminishing returns on stats and bonding stones. Touching either of those would be risky for Cryptic and I don't look for it to happen. Can the game survive Elemental Evil 2?

Melee version of Commanding Shot: Stag Heart gives temp. HP to you and one Ally. So far so good. but at ranks 2 to 4 it should affect 2 more allies every time - but it doesn't.
No matter if I am far away or in the middle of a group (in a party), it only ever affects 1 Ally - which I am not even aible to choose / aim for.
Has been raisd in the bug reports forum before, but obviously nothing happened ...

Gushing wound and carefull attack is a result of allies and the hunter and not hunter on his own. Same for a control wizard in a lesser degree with abyss of chaos. MY point posting that info is : paingiver or and combat tracker they are not always tell the truth. AND that is cryptic's fault not because count those powers on the class but they dont credit every power to the owners but only what is related to paingiver.
THANks.
P.S. is not a hate post is an answer mostly for hunters posting videos and bashing other classes and call them weak.
I have another bug with Wild Hunt Rider companion. I'm a pure archery stormwarden and every time when got companion active bonus from distance encounter skill i got label "Wild Hunt" on my screen but the buff icon don't appear on my buff list and bonus don't work. In melee stance every time work well and i got buff icon. I don't use Fox's Cunning.
I don't think it's out of control. they're combating power creep with more difficult content. and nerfing abilities that give too much survivability. we need the high power to power thru this content. yeah it seems op when you go back and revisit content but that's old stuff. notice people don't choose to farm the more difficult stuff over all (some do but for the most part you see repeated successful calls for etos cn and the like) that's because most people honestly don't want it to be that difficult. who wants to struggle thru something? no one that's who. lol. that and overall cn has a better drop table than just about anything else in game so people choose earlier content to later content. the difficult content that shows why the power creep is a good thing just isn't used because bad unrewarding drop rates.
Hard to say is it a bug. Since you're archery you probably using Rain of Arrows or Thorn Ward. These powers are considered to be entities. Entities from HR have behaviour to proc Wild Hunt on them self(Deft Strikes from trapper have this same interaction, meele version of deft strikes proccing on RoA). That's probably why you aren't getting Wild Hunt proc.
There is just easy reason why feytouched doesn't work with AoE powers. In the past AoE powers were making the interaction where bosses got oneshotted by dealing insane bugged damage, similar interaction of the old bugged Orcus set. They've just messed up this enchant to not work with AoE powers or rather deleted component what was making this issue. For me it's just a sabotage from the devs - just look how they fixed Hastening Light offhand in the past.

mmm im not sure. My theory is that there are power that are a physical identity (thorn ward for example), probably cordon of arrow too. This means the bonus can proc on them but not on you and after a couple of rotation the counter resets goes to hell.
For the guys in the hindering strike discussion I feel like you can reliably recreate the issue that it misses with the Black Ice Treads from Kessel's. Equip the boots, run to a mob group and activate HS, while sliding - misses pretty often.
A minor Issue: Thorn Ward, when applied to an enemey, has the Warlock's Pillar of Power debuff icon. (Now you might say the pillar of power has the thorn ward icon - but to me it looks more like a pillar ...)
And finally, please test this one: Especially (but not only) after switching stances, the Electric Shot has an overlay Clear the Ground animation. It does also proc Blade Storm class feature (R4). Now the weird thing is, I asked a guild mate to test it as well and he can't recreate it, although I can do so quite reliably.

Tested it out a bit more gives me a 2k damage shield according to the log doesn't seem to stack unfortunately. prolly doesn't constitute a bug.

his is sad. As it's still a bug. But I'm guessing it's only animation? Not damage? I hope at least. Still looks like HAMSTER!
Fix it devs!
