While I am excited about this Celestial Stag, I do hope the devs change the animation of this lovely mount. Having purchased a Stag in the past, I will not use it, as it slips frequently and the legs splay out. My majestic stag runs perfectly and then suddenly..SPLAT. It ruins it! I was running with a guild mate through Lonelywood one day she she asked me, "Did your Stag just break his leg?". I explained he does that all the time. Just after that I unequipped him and I don't ride him anymore. Such a disappointment. I hope this animation does not carry on to this new mount. If so, I will not pursue it. Cryptic...PLEASE fix this horrible animation.
I believe a system should be in place where +5 rings and legendary stuff makes its way to the Zen store over time, while replacing those items with better item drops in dungeons and lockboxes. In other words, older mounts, rings, equipment should be made easier to get over time as they are replaced. At this point, there are tons of mounts that have been out forever. It wouldn't hurt to put some of them in the zen store. The problem with the random roll in this game is a person who spends little or nothing can be riding multiple legendary mounts while a person who invests and keeps the game running has none. Something seems wrong with that....just my opinion though.
@dameon12 - system you descibed could work, if there was constant influx of new items to the game. But there is none. Well there is but most of them are not worth consideration. Putting for example +5 rings to zen store would kill demo/svar runs. While I am among group of players still not having a rings I want I dont think it is a good idea, unless there gona be a new interesting range of rings droping from new content. But that should be combined with overall game development. Adding just more powerfull items seems pointless - end game toons already blitz trough SPC. Its hard - but worth to think and work over it.

@rayrdan its not that bad idea - since every mount bonus, insignia or boon gona be counted for your IL. And I guess you agree that those bonuses have a huge impact on statistics and overall character performance. In a week all that gona be counted to new IL system. Since that moment, all ZEN store campaign packages will not only save their buyers a lot of time of grind, but also will significantly improve their IL. There is no ring that actually beats in stats/bonuses such a package. So you already can improve your toon significantly, and in a week its gona be visible to every one via IL system. There is no reason to have differen approach to rings. Not all of them of course. But lets say if a new mod will bring new ring set, oldest one hit a zen market. It will save a lot of players time and frustration. Quite similar to campaing completion.

I dont really like the idea of leg mounts for 10-15k in the zen store. The wont be special anymore. I can alrdy see hole pe full of tensers
I would personally prefer that they be *different* items, not ones from older boxes. The legendary equivalent of the good old Stormraider Clydesdale that used to be the default epic mount of cautious spenders. Take one of the less schmancy epic mounts, give it some colour swap or FX to make it look more impressive but not so much that it detracts from the chase mounts, give it really basic bonuses, and they'd be done.
Desirability of lockbox mounts intact, but creating the latest must-have item for non-gamblers, altaholics, and anyone who'd rather quit playing altogether than spend the equivalent of $340 on ONE mount.
I also agree that gear really doesn't belong in the Zen store, but it all needs token systems built into the content to offset the factor of never, ever getting the item you wanted.

At first glance, there appear to be 2 group of players in this thread:
Group 1 doesn't want items forcibly devalued. Group 2 is opposite.
But, ask Group 2 if they would sell items they own in-game for 1/5th the price (eg. Trans Vorpal for 1m, Trans Dread for 2m, Trans Lightning for 2m, Radiant 12 for 350k, Brutal 12 for 600k, Bonding 12 for 700k etc. ), and the answer would be a resounding "No". Ask why and you would get "because it's worth 5x your offer". Exactly.
Hence, upon further inspection and conclusion, there's only really one big group.
It's the Don't-devalue-my-stuff Group, aka I-want-to-buy-what-I-don't have-at-80%-discount-but-I-don't-sell-what-I-have-at-80%.
The difference is a sub-group is asking for Cryptic's aid in getting that discount. Imagine Cryptic selling (T. Vorpal, T. Dread, T. Lighting, Black Ice 12, Brutal 12, Radiant 12, Azure 12, Bonding 12 etc) in the Zen Store for 1/5th the regular price. People who own those items would be ticked off as well, and that includes the same players who want discounted Legendary mounts.
Lets see. As people already stated when this game first came out you only had purple mounts to the game in the zen store. The lock box mounts were only vanity items that really did do much for that person. Then cryptic changed the game big time by adding mount combat powers and insignia's and suddenly players had reason beyond vanity to get those mounts.
The major problem with these lock mounts is that they are a one of and not account wide. This effects people that have alts as they are going to pay a years worth of AD to get maybe a 10% increase, its just not worth the effort.
When these mounts first came out they only sold for about 2-10 million AD so yeah 1/5 of what they are now....
Also, you don't see gear in the zen store but if they did add those enchants at a set price I wouldn't be to broken up about it...
I am not expecting them to put BiS mounts in the Zen-store, I would however appreciate a Legendary mount, with 2k Power & 2k Defense, and a simple "come here and slap some enemies around" combat power. It could just be a larger/fancier version of the Heavy Destrier or something like that
It would not compete with any (BiS)Lockbox rewards, and it would sell like crazy if priced around 10k-15k Zen...

Interesting point of view but let me ask you: How much does it cost to make a Trans Enchantment and how much does it cost to make/obtain a Legendary Mount ?
Answer: A Trans Enchantment costs a heck of a lot of AD and a corresponding amount of time to refine and get from Lesser up to Trans. That is why they command such high prices. Regular enchantments involve similar amounts of AD, time and effort to get to Rank 12.
Legendary mounts, on the other hand, are either instantly 'free' from Lockboxes or extortionately expensive to buy off the AH. No amount of effort or time is put into obtaining them through the 'free' route, so their only value is 'what sellers can get away with charging for them'.
For the record, I have three Trans Weapon enchants, three Rank 12 Bonding Runestones and no Rank 12 regular enchants distributed amongst my four characters. I worked long and hard for these. At the same time, I also have the single best Lockbox Legendary drop available stored away in my Bank, a Glorious Resurgence Legendary Pack. It cost me nothing as it dropped from one of my daily VIP key lockboxes. I could have sold it or opened it, selected a Tenser Disc from the options and sold that on the AH for a silly amount of AD which would give me a gazillion percent return on my initial investment of nothing at all.
My personal choice has been to keep it unopened so I can pop over to the Preview Server any time I like to play around on any of the Legendary Mounts available inside it. If any of them became available as account wide mounts in the Zen store, I would be perfectly happy and start saving up to get one. If they cost a fraction of the price I could have sold my Pack or one of its available mounts for, it would not bother me as I have already had several millions ADs worth of fun out of my 'free' pack and mounts.

Most of Cryptic's income comes from people opening lockboxes, if they have a high value (20m+) people will keep buying keys just for a chance to become 'rich' inmediately so these mounts need to keep a very high price in the AH (I'm not trying to defend the cost, it's just reality) so if they decide to add a legendary mount in the zen market, it would come with worthless stats like some regen + stamina gain + ap gain, etc, some dumb combat power like: "your mount deal 2k damage every second for 2 seconds" and the obvious benefit would be the 140% speed and being BtA. Lockbox's mounts must remain exclusive or there's no point in opening more lockboxes. In this way, they will be able to put a Legendary mount in the Zen Market without hurting their revenue while giving the opportunity to the players to get a mount with a better speed available to every character in the same account (main reason to buy a zen market mount). Considering how useless would be that mount, regardless of the mentioned benefits, the other mounts will keep a high value since they are much more useful for end-game players, min/maxers, etc. In my opinion, the cost would be around 7k-10k zen.
Edit: btw I forgot to mention, add a Drider mount.

thats what i thought. AH legendary mounts are there for a reason. Selling them for 30M is just speculation tho. Putting a cap to the selling price to 20 M is the best solution. Actually putting a cap to 20M to every item in game is needed.
My birthday is May 4th..YES May the fourth be with you..lol (Huge fan) anyways, I just want this stag, thats it, I want the birthday luck to pour into the game, and boom open up the lockbox and there it is! Or a rainbow starry panther!..LOL..I know, I know! But hey a girl can always use her birthday wishes!
I can't even recall what the last Zen store mount that got added was.
It was the worg in a skeleton costume. Which does nothing for me, and probably did nothing for you which is why you forgot it.
That might very well have been the only new mount they added for Zen in an entire year, and while I do see some folks riding it, I think it was dreadfully boring.
