As far as the time to get all the boons and completely finish out the campaign, I'm fine with 8-9 weeks. That's a good chunk of content to focus on...

Sorry. Cannot agree with your opinion. 8-9 weeks of repetitive grinding does not = "content". It's a badly veiled monetization scheme intended to drive players to invest $$$ in new stuff...or to quit the game. I'm currently on the fence.

You noted the similarities to IWD's campaign - totally agree with that. Mod 10 is IWD on steroids. It's making it very easy for me to lose interest in the game.
I did the dailies, but neither had the time nor was I willing to grind for hours for the boots or the blood needed, to get the resistance, to enter FBI.

After a few hours of constant nagging of my friends, I bought this purple shovel, the tradebar gear and did run FBI with them. I did not have to spent money, but fact is, you either have the Zen available, drop some money or grind like hell.

PS. I would not mind the one shot mechanic, if the server would runs smooth and I would see the AoE, before it kills me or the giants would not 'teleport' next to me.

Its a diabolical, HAMSTER system, that people hated, was glad it was gone, brought back, reinvented to being even more crappy then the orginal system.

If you have 1 toon and invest zen into HAMSTER junk, you can keep it empowered forever if you wanted to.

    what a load of garbage.

Forget playing it different ways, as the time frame to open it up on more then 1 or 2 toons is such harshly gated, it will numb your mind.

I like Cold Run for the visuals but that's about all the good i can say about this Mod. It seems as if someone sat down and decided to add the empowering from Mod 3 (which we all hated) to the endless/mindless grind of the original EE (which we hated at least as much) with a much lower level of rewards and voila - Mod 10 was born.

The storyline is somewhat interesting but I'm numb to the lore due to the grind and lack of rewards. I'm logging in more out of habit these days than a desire to have fun :(
    I aim to misbehave

I still play from time to time but not near as much as i used to and I was looking forward to this being the mod that drew me back but it wasnt. it feels like its copy pasted from mod 3. farm heroics to get your gloves ... I mean boots. fill them up with magic module mcguffin wait do dailies in a couple areas ether a frosty snow world or a woodsy snow world get enough rep to enter our 1 new dungeon ... oh wait no you need gear for resistance to get in 1 dungeon then immediately take it off because it ether isnt as good or drains too quick and you have to keep filling that 5 gallon bucket so here is your table spoon ... unless you wanna buy this 10$ coffee cup to help you fill it faster *wink wink* this game for me has gone from fun to tedious. there is way too much grind ... grind your gear grind your guild stronghold... oh dont forget to grind some AD because you need to upgrade the new enchant that made your old one sub optimal and the only way to get wards of any kind is to spend real world money @ 10$ per enchant level or buy them from the AH and grind a little more because you have to rank your non weapon/armor enchants and a 10% chance could burn though 5$ worth of pres wards

when I started this game the zen market was a place where you could go hey thats a cool looking mount Ill drop some cash on it or hey I wanna try to win that legendary out of the new lockbox. wow I sure could use some more bank slots, my toon looks like a mook or I wanna try a teifling now let me buy a token

now its let me buy this pack and this item and this new campaign shortcut so I can get past this brick wall into the land of milk and honey without having to use a flippin toffee hammer... oh look the milk and honey is actually salt and vinegar. then you get an anouncement new mod 11 the Despotism of Wyverns!!! is live and another brick wall drops in front of you and confetti explodes from the sky and cryptic coughs awkwardly hands you another toffee hammer then goes and stands in front of the zen market rubbing their thumbs and forefingers together.

yes yes i know its a bit hyperbolic but honestly its how I feel about the game right now and I criticize because I care. I like the game its fun when its done right it a lot of fun! If I didnt I would just sigh and open up steam and go play something else but Instead I am typing half a page at 4am on a weeknight

Bad loot and a empowering system that no one wanted doomed this mod from the start. Hopefully mod 11 introduces something worth while whenever it is announced....

Dungeon is so post-modern... weird for the sake of being weird. You need equipment to run a dungeon and you will find equipment when you finish the dungeon... for which you need that equipment that you found... at the end...

Absolutely no reason to go there. Finish the boons and move on (move back to be precise, back to CN, tiamat and edemo). And unless they ad at least 2 additional zeros at the end of weekly rewards for vomitblood (and at least additional zero for all other quests) there is no reason to try and farm for boots in a first place.

That's SOP for Cryptic. Same thing happened when they came out with the T2Dugeons: To defeat the dungeon you need the new Equipment which you can't get until you finish the dungeon.

One Hint: Ever see the named Bosses Roaming around Bryn Shander, Lonelywood and Cold Run. Kill them, accept the Quest and turn in for coin, xp and oh yes, 50 Voninblod each.

Just do this 500 times and your dailies and you will have enough blood for your boons, but dont try to get or even maintain the new gear. It helps, but the blood needed is just to much.

I even went for the epic shovel and still I would have to grind relics, HEs or FBI for hours for some lackluster boons.

That sums up my feelings on Mod10 too.

I'll save up some Zen and wait for the campaign completion token to get the boons but I've lost interest in the rest of it.

The Moral of the story Cryptic is you want people to spend money on your HAMSTER, then don't pull underhanded business schemes with our gaming. Gamers as a whole aren't stupid, you want to be as big as Blizzard someday? Listen to your customers and produce worthwhile expansions to your games so they feel like your product is worth spending money on. I shouldn't need to say this to any company but rule 1...Happy Customers spend more money!
