Awesome video! GFs really have the full package; they have the best single target damage, have the most easily accessible prone (bullcharge), and a near perma-shield.
Their dps are getting nerf, you just need to wait few more weeks
1. "Into the Fray: No longer increases damage by a percentage of your damage resistance. Now grants a flat +15% damage bonus, + 5% more per rank. "
Is that the nerf you're referring to? It's just less broken now since it can't be boosted by DC.
2. "Bull Charge: This power was unintentionally receiving 20% more damage per rank up, instead of the stated 10% per rank up. This has been corrected, however, the base damage of the power has also been increased ~10%. Net change at Rank 4 is a damage reduction of ~10%. "
10% less dmg for a spammable prone, big deal.
3. Crescendo: Increased the damage of the first for hits by 25%. This has increased the overall damage of this power by ~10%. Flourish: Damage increased ~12%. Recharge time reduced to 13s, down from 14s. Frontline Surge: Damage increased ~34%. ;Recharge time reduced to 14s, down from 19s. Indomitable Strength: Damage increased ~8%. Threatening Rush: Damage increased ~18%. Tide of Iron: Damage increased ~28%.
Hardly a damage nerf if you ask me.
4. Cleave: Now generates 5% of your Stamina per swing, as long as you are hitting at least 1 target.
Is this real? They are overall increasing its damage and stamina regen? How does that fix anything? Do they hire mathmaticians to talk about these numbers?

THE only thing i saw in that video is -HEY i use knight challenge dont interupt me. -OK take your time. -STAY to the spot doing nothing- -OK i am staying -1 shot.
ALSO villaine menace got nerf to its duration. THAT means : gf from behind will get cc and will not perform the rotation with the knight challenge and possible get killed from the challenged target ( dont forget also the challenged target deal also double damage).

I AM playing the class pve mode but in past i have played it and pvp. MOST of the times on my wizard i can fight vs a guardian as he is now.
1: gf now can go and deflect since he dont need to stack so much defence anymore. 2: gf anvil become a weak power. 3: gf bull charge get a small nerf. 4: itf at normal levels. 5: knight challenge you have to be fool to allow it happen INTERRUPT HIM especially with the menace duration nerf. KNIGHT challlenge is toggle! 6: tide of iron hard to land it maybe after bull charge.
AND something for great weapon fighters : you have sprint and the time to avoid gf when he casting knight challenge or you expect to facetank double damage? NO devs dont touch knight challenge.

GWFs consistently get 1-shotted WHILE SPRINTING by geared GF with KC.

I been on test and while they are not hitting for 300-600k, they are still hitting for 70-80k in one rotation, don't expect a different outcome than what you are seeing now, because it's not going to happen. GF and TR are still the go to PvP classes in this game.

Ya, Sprint is not a dodge. With the changes as they are with Mod 10, GWF will be the only class without a dodge or block to speak of. PVP will be Dunk the GWF. GWF will be the liability on the team. As I said, just roll a GF or TR.
Wrong man, SW will still be a liability to a team (The average Joe SW). GWF's at wills still do a HAMSTER ton more damage than any SW's at will and even encounters more so now with the changes than in the last couple of mods.

The game has moved on from HRs and SWs being viable in PVP. Those are issues for those classes and should be addressed. Nothing changed on GWF except losing our Temp HP. So what you describe is not a GWF issue, it is an SW/HR issue and a Tenacity/self-healing issue. You can never nerf GWF survivabilty enough to make SW and HR equal to them.

Are you agreeing on HR and SW being 2 classes gimped which should be on par with destroyer as striker ( and in case combat being on par for survability AND DAMAGE) or are you arguing we dont deserve it for reasons? IF the former is the case, i kindly invite you to give a feedback where is needed right now: the HR AND SW preview thread. I dont know SWs but we just received a nerf which can really f up a whole class. you probably were clear enough but i really cant catch you up right now
No, GWFs do not need to be "toned down" defensively. They are off-tanks and are meant to take damage as a melee fighter. The other strikers are cloth and leather classes and in no way should be as tanky as armor-wearing classes, and there is no way GWFs should have less or the same survivability as them.
GWFs should face more trade-offs, though. Presently, Destroyers are too tanky for the damage they inflict, and Sentinels don't inflict enough damage for how little they gain in tankiness.
In PvP terms, it will still be a problem that most classes will stand virtually no chance of killing a GWF, and that has to be fixed at some point. It's fine if GWFs are unkillable if they also can't kill you (i.e. a Sentinel), but it's not fine if they are unkillable and can still kill you with a good rotation.
The way to get there isn't necessarily only by fixing GWFs, but by fixing self-healing in general (though SWs are designed to work around life steal and self-healing as a survival mechanism, so possibly less so for them), because it's the self-healing which allows GWFs to never be whittled down even if they are being consistently outplayed.
And that's not saying that GWFs should be everyone's punching bags, simply that one-on-one fights should ideally be mostly fair against classes with the same basic function. SWs, HRs and CWs are all striker-type classes too, just like Destroyers, so they should be even fights, determined by the better player, not by one class being brutally better at everything.
Because Destroyers are melee, they obviously need to have tools to close in and be more tanky than ranged classes, but the difference can't be on the scale it currently is. It should be enough to fight on equal terms, not to be immortal against anything but two classes, one of which is presently getting its damage toned down.
As I see you consider Destroyer as a separate class.
Sentinel and Instigator are not a strikers? LOL
If you see Instigator as a Controller, so give him a bunch of Crown Control.
