Poll : what PvP Bonus sets do you want to have? [Different distribution stats (feedback)]

metalldjtmetalldjt Member, NW M9 Playtest Posts: 2,310 Arc User
there are 4 PvP sets that you can obtain ingame : 1 from tramalune bar store , 1 from trade for blades, 1 from SH vendor and 1 from MW , all of them have the SAME STAT DISTRIBUTION even thou they come with 2 versions 1 Executioner and 1 Duelist.

Suggestions:

- ALL of the PvP sets should have the same ITEM LEVEL
- ALL of the PvP sets should share the same 3/4 bonus
- ALL of the 4 PvP sets should have the same ammount of tenacity
- We should be able to mix the pieces and still get the bonus out of them 2/4 and 3/4

- While 3 sets should have different stat distributions than they have now as it happens to be with the PvE sets, there are PvE sets that bring different versions with different stats

So if the gear has different stat distributions such as warborn executioner helmet gives other stats than the lionsmane executioner helmet, players can choose their own required stats for their certain builds, and some builds can look like this :

- Warborn helmet
- Adamant armor
- Prestige bracers
- Lionsmane feets

While lettin us have the 2/4 and 3/4 Set Bonus

for the new 2 PvP sets that come out with new 3/4 set bonus, what other alternatives do you want to have on your PvP gear?

ofc the bonus set should work only in PvP and against Players the bonus set should work as a group too.

besides the examples from the POLL please give more examples.

As it stands out right now we do not need more Movement and more DR .

Bonus sets that work as Stronghold Weapons weapons would be a really good addition. GROUP BONUS

there is TOO MUCH healing in the game and Tenacity just makes things even worst. At high level fights, its almost impossible to kill anything with a DC around, and the Mount Insignials just makes things worse too. We need less healing in the game and probably more offensive power or skills that reduces the target's heals. At the moment 3.5k+ pvp is all about bouncing people around to cap the node and not PvP at all, cus nothing really dies!

In and of themselves, I kind of like the set bonuses. Nothing too radical, but somewhat useful at least.

I'm ok with "meh" set bonuses. While the old class-specific ones were sometimes interesting, they were obviously a nightmare to balance.

dafaq is +10% attack speed (similar to unstoppable and surestrike) stacks up with party members for a 50' range? :D aka in Charlie Chaplin movie, right? I'd vote for that, but i can hardly see it being implemented.

Personally I would prefer seeing class specific set bonuses again instead of generic bonuses mod after mod.

There is no stat diversity in gear, no 2/4 set bonuses, no choice, no thought involved. Just a generic "dps" stat distribution, and a "defensive". What I wouldn't give for some modicum of choice. Some thought put into gear, just a bit of creativity.

    +1
Mod after mod we have gotten nearly identical stat distributions on gear. look at elven vs drow vs Dragonflight gear. they are all practically the same. Burning and lionsmane gear are identitical to each other, as are the guild pvp sets.

the odd item here and there has different stats on it than other sets but there is very little variety.

Currently on preview the new gear, pvp and pve, has identical stat distributions as gear on live. So i don't plan on getting any of it except perhaps 1 item for the 1/4 set bonus in pve for giant fighting. the set bonuses are simply not compelling enough to invest the effort in all that extra gear when the stat distribution doesn't change

But since the stronghold weapon already exists, there is room for armor variety. Honestly, they could be generic if there was just more choice.

1 of a set could give a stat boost, 2 could give +5%, 3 could give a resistance or damage vs a class or mob type, 4 could be class specific.

I know the damage and resistance vs class and mobs should be covered by overloads, I'm just throwing out an unpolished idea. I'm just tired of being completely underwhelmed by lack of choice.

The only thing about my gear that really needs any thought at all is enchantments and artifacts, and even those are limited.

On the other hand, they could put class-specific modifiers on PvP gear as a balancing kludge too. That would potentially be a lever to balance high-geared PvP without affecting PvE in any way. But putting qualifiers like "-25% damage while flagged for PvP" on GF gear wouldn't be too popular, I think.

On the other hand, that gives GFs a choice. Run pvp gear and be much tankier, or run pve gear and be very glass cannon.

I actually really like this idea because like you say, it allows for some easier pvp specific balancing. Something they can tweak easily later without fear of breaking powers (once the initial bugs for the sets were worked out). lots of interesting pvp related things could be done with this

I don't have an issue with there being different levels of gear actually but there should be different stats for sure.

I'm also a bit uneasy about the 2/3 set bonus. Why wouldn't everyone just go down the route of having two bits of each set to get +1k tenacity?

well there is the daily win that is 30 seals of triumph, also the gear is not bound to character, but account, so you can get the gear a bit faster if you play with your alts.

Le sigh.... & how, exactly are supposed to get a win? By having the best gear! How do you get the best gear? By getting the wins! Oh, my aching head 0,o
