Im not joking. For once, i enjoyed a REAL run on it. Pls, devs, if you make the upcoming content as hard as it is "Master of the hunt" right now, i will be back on this game for good.

Tried it and have to disagree. The first mob was like a boss fight. Skirmishes are supposed to be fast--that's why they are skirmishes. Of course I PUGged it, I have to assume you did not.
I'm really unclear on current content. Things once considered skirmishes are now called Epic Dungeons and skirmishes are now harder than Epic Dungeons.... I don't know why they can't produce new content and quit playing merry-go-round with existing structures and creatures.
For that matter does Kessel's pay out now as a dungeon, or as a skirmish?
It's not a new skirmish. It's an old one. It's always been a part of the Sharandar campaign. But then people were like "hey, we need more skirmishes from 60 through 69, because we have like ZERO of them", and so Cryptic was (several months later) all "Okay, we'll let you do the Sharandar and Dread Ring ones at 60, then but only if you already had access to Sharandar already so this is an utterly useless addition for anyone whose characters don't predate the level cap being raised to 70, which is most of youpay no attention to the information behind the strike line!" But now they've made Sharandar accessible in the mid 60's, so you can finally access it at an actually relevant point in your leveling. Dread Ring's skirmish remains stupid and useless.
I just did this skirmish and OMG. I love it!! The only problem was the queue grouped me with players in blue gear and empty enchantment slots. Difficulty is good, but please increase the queue requirements to enter this skirmish. I hope module 10 has similiar difficulty.
diying 30 times vs the first band of mobs. Hope they do the same thing on upcoming dungeons in mod10.
That is literally the worst gameplay experience I've ever heard of short of "you die immediately before you can do anything no matter what".
If it seems difficult, I'm guessing either that's because you're getting paired with a bunch of weaklings or maybe they forgot to lower the mob stats from 70.
Everything what clonkyo1 wrote= 100% agree!! We "cleared" this skirmish with our best players and it tooks almost an hour. It was fun as hell. I hope devs do need a lot of time to tune it down, cuzz its the funniest place atm to learn movement and skill using. Better rewards would be nice. Thats all ^^
It is not "fun" because it is absolutly not "difficult". A party of five won't die, i pug it with low gear and they had no problem to survive. It is just extremely LONG because we don't do any damage. Hits usually doing more than a million is a standard pug group are doing no more than 10k, but the life of the ennemy is the same. We took an entiere hour to clean the first room, before we decided to not continue. It was easy, no one could die, but it is just horribly long because we don't do any damage. Is that your definition of fun or diffulty on a skirmish ? It is not mine, clearly isn't.

Yeah, I'm not so sure, maybe I just have a different definition of fun. The Skirmish doesn't take any more skill, it's still easy, its still boring, it just takes longer, much much much longer and imo that makes it much more boring. Might as well put a totem in the middle of field and then give it a bazillion HP and massive DR then we can all chip away at it for an hour.
To me, it's like watching grass grow, but different ppl like different things I guess.
I absolutely hope that this is not the Dev's definition of challenging content, cause that just makes it 100% about DPS and nothing else. I'd like to see some content that takes teamwork, brings the need for control back into the game and requires skill other than just knowing how to squeeze every last bit of DPS out of a party. Something like how VT used to be, or Mod 6 before they fixed the ArP bug (that was fun for me, but maybe not for others).
We did it after a CN run with a decent group. It was boring as hell. It was so easy to tank, that I nearly went to sleep and grinding away for minutes at trash mobs with do danger and no reward is not my definition of fun.
I´m just going to assume this is some glitch...because it is challenging to whip some tiny redcap behind for what feels like hours, just not in the right ways...might be a good idea to give the skirmish a complete overhaul (to actually make it more challenging, not boring) and then add Sharandar campaign currencies (maybe random, not just the one currency) for more fun power point farming.

If this was boring for you, maybe you should try celadaine epic? 5 man dungoen. Awesome fights
I agree with SIlverkelt. It just takes 20 minutes instead of 5 and it's boring. It's a change of scenery and it's nice not to burn through things that quickly all over again, but it's ultimately boring. If the mobs were nasty enough to one shot me while I can barely do any damage to them it would be more fun :P
Server down...damn...gotta whine on the forums a little more... Yah...it´s most likely you die of boredom in the skirmish now...both monster and player damage would have to be scaled up. But I fear after they fixed it, it will probably just feel like before (be easy as it is now but at least mercifully quick again). But rambling on the topic of fun in skirmishes and dungeons...I do so hope that the new dungeons we get will at least make it impossible for companions to valiantly facetank any boss monster. Didn´t you ever hate that stupid little baby-yeti-sht tanking a scorpion? Not even cw-kiting-athletics needed ...Or Orcus? He doesn´t look like a genius, but playing around with a menagerie of reincarnating birds, badgers and whatnot while some fancy pants sw melts him like a marshmellow? Wut? It´s okay if a tank isn´t absolutely needed, there´s lots of possible fun mechanics for dealing with a boss in the absence of a tank other than just sending forth some pet. Am I supposed to heavily invest in bonding runestones for the privilege of standing around like a tree? I wish augments would be improved to be a different but equally viable option..but wow am I off-topic now...sever up soon:)
As a new player I am having great difficulty completing this for my quest. I have tried 6 times now with a variety of players and failed miserably every time. I am not sure how to continue now. I am at a crossroads whether to continue with the game or move on. My total level is around 1800 and I seem to be at a point where I am strong enough for where I have been but way too weak to continue and I really hate asking people for help as I prefer to achieve things on my own merit. My TR does no damage at all 1 to 20 in this skirmish. Even people quite a bit higher than me in total points are not doing any damage at all.

It's bugged, you will need to team up with some BIS DPS ppl to be able to finish this until it gets fixed, unless you want to spend hours doing it.
Maybe some of the ppl in this thread will help you out?
Otherwise move onto something else and come back to this in a month or two

Yes agree with this too, but not if this Skirmish is a requirement for ppl to progress the Sharandar campaign.

It isn't. Speaking to one NPC gives you a prompt for it that is completely irrelevant to anything other than completionism.

I hope they tune the boss/trash up. Its funny as hell.
I must say, you guys have more determination than me to stick that out to the last boss.
